One of the reasons why Hafiz' videos are so great is because he shows wrist shots from various distances from the camera. Watches can look bigger than they are when on the wrist with the camera just a few inches away. But on his shots from further away, one can see that they look quite appropriate.
I'm glad you actually show how it looks on an average 6.5" wrist, unlike most other watch channels that use the title just as clickbait. Great video, as usual. 👍
I’ve just bought one of these after watching your video ... I have a 7 inch wrist and was worried it might wear too large but your video reassured me. they should pay you commission..
Great Video which helped me in my decision. Just got my SD43. Perfect watch. Have GMTII too. Which is siize/weight comparable to Sub. Prefer SD43. Much better quality. Weight difference is just about 30 gr. Made very robust. Very underestimated watch. Advise to all who like to get robust Rolex for daily activities. From my point of view SD43 looks more interesting than the sub. Red letters, bezel looks amaizing. Have 6.5" flat wirst. Looks perfect.
I have the Rolesor and the ExpMk2 as well. Same wrist basically. The SD has a slightly smaller dial and a lug to lug like a Black Bay. Why so many hesitate?
Great review! Covered it well. Bought this only in February but it's already my favourite piece and one I'll never get rid of. After wearing this 43 I don't feel like I could ever going back to sub size. Looking forward to the comparison! Well done
Fantastic watch a real stand out, if you’re thinking about buying this but worried about the size, really don’t worry as it wears so well. Future classic and a good investment!
Thanks Hafiz I asked and you delivered! A fantastic review with your usual world class photography. The watch looks great on your wrist. The SD43 is simply the best daily dive watch in the world. Your description and measurements highlight the amazing contours of the watch which make it fit perfectly on the wrist. So many conversation points on this watch. Escape valve, diver extension, depth rating etc. A magnificent piece and a lifetime keeper for me thanks for your time in creating the video. I look forward to the comparison video with the submariner. I wish you good health and happiness!
The best macro shot channel, exposing Rolex lack of finishing quality especially compared to Audemars Piguet. I prefer the Deep Sea without the cyclops. Thanks Hafiz, enjoy your watches journey
I love over built top quality anything. Thank you Rolex for providing this option in the line up! Have no idea why people pay more for a sub when this can be had for less then retail on the grey market
I'm beginning the process of deciding on the various iterations of Rolex divers. A Submariner was my "grail" watch but now I'm looking at Subs, Sea-Dwellers and Deep Sea. I go back and forth between the Sea Dweller and Deep Sea. The 43 may be perfect. I do have relatively small wrists (6.8 in) but have worn other watches from 45 mm Panerai, 45 mm Sinn and 44 mm x18 Breitling Sea Wolf. So size and thickness don't intimidate me. Your wrists shots do make the videos unique. Seeing an up close wrist shot doesn't tell the story. Longer arms and flatter wrists make a difference. I'm still somewhat undecided but these videos are enjoyable and helping me to make a better decision.
I have both SD43 and Deepsea. They both are great. No complaints, i have a small wrist also. Def nicer to see also compared to everyone wearing a Submariner
Excellent. I have an explorer, Submariner,Sea Dweller 126600 and I am getting a Sea Dweller Deep Sea. All worth their cost in reliability, and accuracy.
Hafiz J Mehmood that would be great. I’ve often contemplated letting my SD43 go to get a sub as I have a 6.5 inch wrist as well and sometimes feel the SD is too big. Problem is given the state of Rolex I can’t go in to a store and try a sub in to compare.
C G to be honest, for me personally, sub wears better on our 6.5” wrist. The sd43 doesn’t stick out of the wrist or wear large, but it still looks a tad larger and circular than I like my watches to look. I hope my video helps you decide and I’ll make sure to share wrist shots in multiple angles.
Thanks very much, Hafiz, a great video ! I love this watch, today it`s on my wrist. There is also the Deep sea blue James Cameron in my collection, and these two are my absolute favorite rolex watches. Best regards, Tom...
This is one great watch, i'm still not sure which one i prefer more SUB or SD43, but in my opinion a diver watch should have a markers also on the bezel like SD43. Great video Hafiz, thank you
I’ve put my name down at the AD for one of these, just hoping I get the call in the next year or so. Ive tried on the two tone, a bit too flashy for me (gold on diver seems odd to me). Great video.
over the years I owned, submariner 116610ln, wich I though was nice watch but too square and too small, then got the deepsea, wich it was great dial size but to thick and too hight on the wrist, then I ve got the sea dweller 116600 I love this watch but was too small for me, then got this 126600 and really enjoying the size, people complaint that is too heavy, but after couple of days i barely notice in on my wrist. Maybe that's the nature of humans we get exited when we get a new watch and after sometime we get bored with them and want something new to keep us happy for a while. the only thing I can tell people when the ask for advice about a watch is not to let people opinons about a watch let influence what you want or like to wear, if you like the watch you have not matter if big, small, thick, slim, no matter what, if it makes you happy and you like it that's the most important thing.
Personally this watch is better than the sub . It goes deeper , keeps the look, and brushed center links. The size may not fit everybody (only negative) but personally the size does fit my wrist . The polished center links on other models suck (scratches stand out on my Dytona)

And the Rolesor is even better if you ask me............yellow gold is even cooler when it's "not cool"

I’ve a 6 3/4” wrist and tried on one of the first pieces that came to Spain back in 2017 and ended up buying a NOS Y series 16600, country code 170 (Italy). 40mm. no Cyclops, holes case (I wanted that), and it’s on a NATO strap since day one. I really loved that SD43 but I look at the pics I did that day and they don’t look as good on my wrist, as yours do.

Hi, great reviews and channel. Just for info nobody takes a rolex with them on a saturation dive. Almost everything inside the chamber and bell is metal and square edges. Also in the water, working with umbilicals, hand tools, wrist lanyards, metal slings, wires and flanges would very soon destroy any watch. The Comex divers only wore them on some tank dives for publicity. Bill

I would pick 2017 SD43 if I can save on it. Otherwise for same price, I’d pick SD43 2020. I personally wouldn’t pick SD4000 as lug to lug is very short on it and it wears small yet very thick. I personally don’t think it will be future classic better than others but it’s just my opinion.
