¡Hola @luisveloz5068 ! 😊
¡Me alegra mucho que le haya gustado! Gracias por su comentario.
Good job. Very well put together video. I like the way you walk through things. The only suggestion I would have, is maybe explain the "why" sometimes, especially when it comes to the firewall rules you were setting up. Maybe I missed it, but what was the end goal, and how did those changes contribute towards the end goal. If you think it delving into the why on any of your videos might make them too long, then may I suggest making a new short video *AFTER* (basically a 2nd video to compliment the 1st) that basically highlights, reviews and discusses the network / firewall side of things covered in the previous video. More content, more likes... can't hurt. :)
Look forward to your other videos, made me pull out an old Xeon server I had kicking around just to see where you go with this. :)
Hello @HighOnTek ☺
Thank you very much for your feedback! Amazing idea! I fully intend on making a video explaining the rules and why I picked what I picked. I sincerely appreciate your feedback
Stay tuned because in the next weeks I'll create a video with the explanation of the rules, and I'll continue to the next part of the home lab setup
Cheers

@@SoBatistaCyber I agree. I need more clarification in pfSense, like do you need dynamic dns if you want to put your LAN in a VPN?
Hey @applemarkwantsvids ☺
I looked into it and here's what I found:
Using a DDNS (Dynamic DNS) depends on what you want to do and your network setup. For example, if you want to access your LAN remotely via VPN, then DDNS can be helpful. With DDNS, you can use a domain name instead of an IP address, which is particularly useful if your IP is dynamic. This means that your DDNS will automatically update your domain name with your new IP address whenever it changes.
However, if your VPN is only for internal use, then you don't need DDNS because your local network will handle everything.
So, in short, the answer to your question depends on whether you want remote access or internal usage only and whether your ISP provides you with a dynamic or static IP.
Let me know if you have further questions
Cheers
@@SoBatistaCyber At this time, I may be implementing port forwarding to port 80 for a dedicated webserver. So i can see where that would be helpful.
can i ask...why pfsense and not opensense?
Hello @summerbee80 😊
Thanks for your question, well there was no reason, it was just a choice
I'll try to also cover OPNsense in the next video (just to cover all basis and also for my learning)
Cheers
cool, thanks, I'm also interested in cyber - I'm from Poland, are you preparing for any certificate? I will be happy to exchange experience and literature. Regards.
Hello @bartek4182 ☺
