Welcome to a new series about Bitwig. This new batch will be about working with clips and audio and understanding the most common tools we have available. This one is about the understanding the difference between arrange clips and audio events.

11:23 was a revelation to me. You can *move* audio events between clips, that easily? Fantastic. Thanks for another very instructive video!

Yes, it's really great. All DAW's should use this method.

@13:13 actually, Cubase has the option to glue together Audio Clips in the Timeline (Arranger), and thereby creating a new Clip. Which imho is far superior to Bitwigs fiddly way of merging audio Events, by having to create a "big enough container clip" and then dragging in other audio events via the TRACK view into it..... Cubase was and is superior. Not sure which DAWs you looked at, but it couldn't have been Cubase. Furthermore, i absolutely adore the possibility for non-destructive (overlapping) Audio Editing in Cubase, as it has its very unique workflow advantages. All in all, Cubases Audio (and Midi Editing) is lightyears ahead of Bitwigs, due to so many more editing-tools and quick ways of adjusting the editor-interfaces on the fly via macros, that's just my humble opinion - while still loving Bitwig.

Is there a way to automatically place beat markers at each onset without having to click one by one at the bottom of the audio waveform?
Also is there a way to automatically quantize or align those beat markers with the track above or just a selected region?
    Thanks.

Hello, I was wondering, when it comes to recording, is there a way to start recording just at the very moment when I start playing notes? I mean making the record transport to begin JUST and ONLY when I start playing notes, at the same time. Thanks. I've seen it done in Ableton.

Selecting all clips in Arrange view and turning volume down is quite dope but I wish we could select all channels in mixer turn the voume down all together respectively, Ableton and Studio One are quite good at this 😅

thanks for the comment.....but you can. You select all the tracks, and on the right side of the screen where the inspector is, it will say at the top how many tracks you have selected and if you go up or down in volume it will do it on all the selected tracks.
It is is not as easy as Studio one where you create a VCA or a BUS, but S1 is a different type of DAW, different vibe.
