- A lot of people struggle with the fishing in Stardew Valley, so I decided to show everyone that it's not as hard as you think, by catching the hardest fish in Stardew, The Legend, from a fresh file!

The hardest fish to catch in stardew is the octopus
I know! I caught the Legend and Mutant Carp on my first try, no buffs or tackle. Crimsonfish on my second try with the trapper. The octopus? Trapper and +3 fishing from food. Still can’t catch it!!!

hardest one for me was the scorpion carp. a lot of people say they struggle with the ice pip but every playthrough i've caught it no problem. just goes to show how different everyone's stardew fishing journey is :)

I thought the story was that he caught it regularly since he was a kid and released it - every season they'd battle... and I guess now farmer ruined it by not releasing the catch back in
Especially like this. Guy never fished before, spends like 3 days in the whole year fishing, eats some performance enhancing food and then catches the legend and is never seen again xD

I think Leapalot did it within the first 10 days in his 100 days series? I think it was him that got the trash hat and legend in 10 days, joked he was going to end the series there and just call it that lmao

glacier fish reduced me to tears when i was going for my perfection run
as someone simalar: what's really bothering me is trying to get any fish other than the ghost fish in the mines. I can get the glacier fish.
When I recently decided I'd now go for the legends the glacier fish killed me. I spent like 2 hours solid trying to get it

I keep trying (and occasionally succeeding) to catch the super cucumber and let me tell you with just a fiberglass rod and some bait, those little shits are slippery AF

Fish at the rock on the west side of the beach dock, 100% chance of getting a silver quality fish or higher (usually higher)
I can’t be the only person that actually likes fishing
Especially on early game rainy days when you don’t have much to do, it’s good for passing time and gets you some extra gold which is also helpful. It’s really relaxing and on lucky days the treasure can be actually kinda good. In one farm I managed to get an iridium band late summer year 1 and it helped me progress through the game quicker, especially since I was still a newbie back then and had no idea what to do.

Same here took me like 2 in game days and like over ten tries with food buffs and trap bobber but it took me like three try’s to get the legend lol
same i just cried out of relief knowing ill never have to catch it again when i caught it on my main file
well Legend is harder because of the hooking chance imo since you hook glacier 1/3rd of the time and legend 1/10th of the time
ok but that was the easiest legend fish ever what the hell lmao, I had to get +2 buffs with level 10 and a trap bobbler to get it and also I restarted my day 3 times... and I cried 5 minutes hahahahah

Early game fishing is horrible, but once you get your levels up with the training rod it's a nice way to make extra money

Take a shot each time he says “throw”.
If he means throw as in “mess up” = shot of vodka.
If he means throw as in “cast the fishing rod” = shot of tequila
If he means throw as in “toss into the chest” = shot of whiskey
If he means throw as in “vomit” then it’s a shot of rum.
If he means throw as in “release the fish” then it’s a shot of…..erm…..gin.

Wouldn't it be better to make the fish your speed running the first catch? Then you don't have to waste time trying over and over, while in the other amount of time you use crab pots from Willys to raise your fishing level, also, the hardest fish is the glacier fish
You can get fishing exp from fish ponds every time there's some that can be harvested

Of the Legendary Fish (not counting those in Qi's Quest), I found Legend and Glacierfish about equal levels of difficulty (I've rage quit over both) and then Crimsonfish and Angler are pretty easy.
the glacier fish felt like hell for me then when spring came i was terrified to catch the legend because people said its harder but it was for some reason so calm for me idek

It's a cabin, they spawn naturally if you're in multi-player, or you can get Robin to build one in single-player

It doesn’t have to be in mountain lake I got it at the ocean once and I was fishing level 7 so I had no chance of catching it but in the bar thing it had the had looking thing on it
then that was the crimsonfish! there are four legendary fish, one for each season and each fishing location
