I use to kind of like Clint because he came off as socially awkward with autistic tendencies and I can really relate as the socially awkward, not knowing what's good socializing, and being nervous around people you like because you wanna do things right I can relate to. But then I learned more about some of his events and was like "yeah, no, there's no defending this man." Like the shoe thing, I can kind of relate to that because something so small can mean a lot to autistics sometimes, but then he was a total creep and treats women entirely different from men and I am not here for that stalker nice guy stuff. Edit: I recently learned from the fall fair that I have the highest friendship with Demetrius and I am not okay and I do not want this. I do a lot of tasks for him so that got it up and I don't like it because even if he isn't as bad as others, he does some things that I do NOT like and I don't wanna be his friend.

When he said he is a Robin simp, I get that man, when i learned i could marry people i wanted to marry her, but i found out i couldn't about 2 weeks later and then i was sad
I personally haven't been a huge fan of Abigail since my first playthrough where I romanced sebastian. idk it just rubbed me up the wrong way when Robin told her that he was busy working and she said she'd come over anyway. Dude just wanted his job to be respected :(
I felt this, I thought he was a little boring at first but the more you talk to him, especially after talking to the rest of the town, some of whom are either grumpy and mean, or just closed off and not wanting to really speak with you at first, he really was very welcoming right off the bat, and I found him charming with sand in his shoes and a crab in his pocket.
I'm so glad to find someone else who really likes Alex. I kind of slept on him for a while, but I finally saw all of his heart events in a recent playthrough and it rocketed him up to being my favorite bachelor.
You talk to Gunther SO much too , especially if you try to complete the museum . It wouldn't be to hard I don't think setting him similar to Clint where he just stays there all day until night time when he closes and he can go to the tavern And maybe the more you donate to the museum you could get a heart or two per like 10-15 items you donate so it's not overpowered to much
ive always loved how all of the intolerable villagers become more likable after their later heart events. the ones i can think of here are mostly Shane and Haley, where Shane is much nicer and is more happy about life and Haley is less shallow and begins to enjoy the little things in life. and i greatly respect that
And to add insult to injury, he thinks Maru is funny? Like, dude, she has no personality. Elliott is the sweetest. I don't understand why so many people hate him. 😭
@@aubreyh1930 He is a writer so his way of speaking is flowery but I never felt like he is pretentious, he is actually one of the few bachelors/bachelorettes who are super nice to you from the start. But he is also very socially awkward. His calling Gus a barkeep was not coming from a bad place but more from his author's background. Other LIs are condescending to you or others and no one comments on it (for example: Alex calls Sebastian a weirdo).
When I first played Stardew I mistook Robin for a marriage candidate not because I didn’t know about Demetrius, but because I mixed her up for Leah for like an entire season
I mentioned this in the bachelor tier list, but Clint lost what little respect I had for him after he did the Joja commercial. Since then I never hook him up with Emily. Personally I wish there was a way to get Robin was a marriage option. I'm a bit bias because I like red heads and Demetrius ruined his own character when he told me off for being friends with his daughter. I had no idea how rude he was to Robin and her son. The guy doesn't have many redeeming qualities.
The guy had that "stay away from my daughter" conversation with me after I had married. And married a dude no less. Like mate, do you not see the pendant? More than that, *weren't you there?*
Demetrius is a fake. On his argument heart event, if you don't side with him, he says that tomato is scientifically a fruit. Except, there's no "scientific" division of foods, such classifications are purely subjective to cultural culinary background: ask people from different cultures, and you're likely to get different answers.
There's no scientific difference between vegetables and fruits, tho scientifically the fruit of the plant is the encasing around the seed (whixh is generally eaten by animals who poop the seeds elsewhere)
I think it means more because they come from flowers, a very generally accepted “definition” for fruit. Which is all semantics and not relevant but a very common reason people claim that they’re fruit (even though it’s subjective)
@@roseb135 Yes but by that logic cucumbers, eggplants and pumpkins are also fruits. This is a flaw in the English language for not having two different words for "fruit", the scientific distinction of the part of a plant that bears seeds, and "fruit", the culinary class of food items. Other languages, like Dutch, do have separate words.
i love your energy, you have this genuine excitement that i really enjoy whenever you talk about stardew valley and anything else you like!!! im really glad i found your videos, keep up the great work :D
George has become my one of my favorites. Every playthrough I collect all the spring leeks to gift to him over time. Always my first friend. Man just wants his leeks and to not be forgotten 🥰🥰🥰
marriage candidate robin would be SO GOOD not only bc shes wonderful but it would also lead to some very questionable behavior on a lot of farmers’ parts. you could conceivably go from being maru’s spouse to sebastians spouse to being a STEP PARENT to both of them. not to mention the horrible things you could do with polyamory mods. it’s horrible and i really want to see it become a speedrun category.
Krobus is the best character. He takes care of you and your ex's children. He's the only character (at least the only one I'm aware of) that can give you TWO stardrops. He sells you the return scepter. And he's just kind in general. I would always become roomies with him, even if it takes some work to even interact with him and he can't do farm chores. As the number one Krobus stan, I am glad that you put him in S tier.
I like Krobus as a character but as a roommate YOU CANT HELP OUT ONCE WITH MY FARM? Like maybe on a rainy day or something? And I would feel differently if you could adopt with him but you can’t… so I ditched him for Sebastian
Shane is my favorite since I had/have depression that was similar to his. Though I was his bestie for like a year before doing the romance side around winter of year 2. I low-key didn't think you could jump to marry someone in less than a year-- though at least it's better than the Sims. You just need one night on those games to marry lol Although I will say that you should not be able to give him beer past a certain point whenever he says he's just been drinking sparkling water xD
I always viewed Clint as someone who was forced into the family business of being a blacksmith which caused him to never socialize much, and his infatuation with Emily has more to fo with her being a free spirit and true to herself. Something he has never been able to acheive. He still has that incel energy, but there are more pieces to explain why he is that way compared to someone like Pierre.
haley does have 1 redeeming factor if you marry her she sees Vincent and jaz school books need updating and how bad penny is takeing it so she holds a fundraiser to get enough money to get them new books
Morris actually works to improve the town with the money you give him. Lewis, on the other hand, rips off the town, steals the money he takes, and mistreats Marnie, and you put Morris below him? Insane.
@@getaround1276 Maybe Morris' capitalism steals the fantasy of living in a town unaffected by modern life, but Lewis actually STEALS from the town and everyone in it! Lewis sends YOU to do his work and capitalizes off of your work and everyone else's work. If anything, Lewis' form of capitalism is even more insidious than Morris and Joja Mart. And we also have Pierre's capitalism as well, who blatantly rips people off! So even with Morris, you have capitalism and corruption in Stardew Valley. In comparison to Lewis and Pierre, Morris and Joja Mart is not as deceptive or evil. His career is important to him, so he has ulterior motives just like Pierre and Lewis do. However, Morris doesn't steal or cheat you.
morris exists just to siphon away resources from the valley and to provide the bare minimum benefits in order for people to consent to him doing so. he isn’t even that big a deal in the corporate machine. theres no soul there. also joja is Directly responsible for 2/5ths of in-game garbage which i find extremely funny. like do you really think this finance engine has any actual long-term care for the health of the community its parasitising
I could go on about my opinions on all the NPCs but I'll say that I'm not really a fan of Robin that much, but I do think she is very nice and cool. I wish her whole house had more development though. like I wish she talked more about Seb and Maru, and it makes me sad that her relationship with Seb is so strained. She seems to try and wants Demetrius and Seb to get along but past a book in her bedroom she doesn't seem to be trying very hard. Also Seb living in the basement and all that.
@@Lotan_ I know but the fact that it's a safety hazard bothers me. I'm sure CA didn't think that deeply about it but a basement with no windows is a fire and safety hazard and also does not contistute a humane living space. You would think Robin would do better for him. She could even set up a new room for him. But for some reason the lab is on the first floor instead of Sebs room.
My only complaint about Stardew is the lack of dynamism with a lot of the villagers. I loved games like Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life as a kid since the villagers change as the years go on. New kids can be born and grow up, the older villagers can pass away, and things actually change from year to year. That would be incredibly difficult to create and implement for CA, but I think having some status quo changes could help spice things up. Maybe there could be a quest line where Clint could finally fall for someone else. Or Marnie and Lewis get together. Plus just implementing a few more heart events and/or NPCs would be awesome, even if I know it’s WAY easier said than done. Marlon, Gil and Gunther should 100% be regular NPCs, and I think taking a page out of the mods and making Morris and the Joja cashier girl a regular NPC would be awesome.
Despite being married to Alex I do not recall the beach heart scene. But I love Leo, and was like "I wanna adopt him" so his 6(?) heart event made me happy lol
Im upset. How could you put elliot so low?? Hes dreamy long hair reserved writer man and he does cute little sweet things like write you poems and letters when you marry him. Always my go to marry man. Blasphemy.
the linus heart event where gus gives him free food and says he doesn’t want anyone in stardew valley to go hungry makes me weep every time i see it, it’s so good
I want Seanie to romance Clint as the ultimate slap in the face to Alex. Imagine your ex romancing his most hated enemy? That would shake me to my core
one thing that i love about shane is the fact that marrying him doesn’t help his addiction, it actually makes it worse. at first glance, this could be seen as bad, but i feel as if it’s really good storytelling. in that romance isn’t always the best path for those struggling with addiction, and a good friendship can sometimes be best. i’m sure it’s not intended this way, but it makes me like shane as a character a lot more.
Linus is hands-down my favourite. Anyone that chill is going to be my fave, no contest. I liked Elliot originally, but after that comment about an 8-hour writing session (and his truly awful book reading), I was like - No. Any other writers who felt the same?
FINALLY! I see another Leah stan! Ngl I'd put Leah and Robin in the top tier, but that may be because they both have a lot of similarities, but are not the same characters. Both take pride in their work (which is super hands-on), both are redheads with similar hairstyles, they look pretty similar, they both dated people who a lot of the fans want to (and have) punched, and they are super attractive. They even do some stuff together (Leah mentions that she learns her tricks from Robin). I'm just saying (feel free to add stuff or comment about why I'm wrong. I'm interested either way)
I love how passionate and enthusiastic you with the characters haha Though the mic quality kept changing throughout the video unless it's just my earbuds 😅

If I made my tier, Sandy can 1000% step on me. She’s hot. she’s Spicy. She’s cool. She’s a tall Woman (which we never see), and her style is On POINT. When she first ran up to me in her shop I fell in love- *cough cough* She’s GORGEOUS! When I realised you can’t date her I think I cried. So I head cannoned that we were dating and got her to full hearts & visited her daily.
to think she was one of the options for bachelorettes 😭 we could have had it all
@@ShadowSorel Ikr 😞
There’s a mod to romance her. Idk if it’s up to date though
Im glad to see there's also someone who really likes Sandy, i mean come on, she's such a baddie, she calls you "honey", she ocasionally gives you milk which is great and well, if stardew valley isnt perfect its because you cant marry her
Sandy🛐🛐🛐
I laughed when he was picking between capitalism or misogyny 😭
Imagine putting yourself in B tier.

Outstanding audio quality Seanie, keep it up!
also your evaluation of elliott is spot on
IT'S NOT MY FAULT NO MICROPHONE CAN HANDLE MY CONSTANTLY PEAKING VOICE
Audiophile therm strikes again
Just give him a bunch of gifts he hates. The wiki should have what he hates on it. That should decrease your friendship with him.
That's interesting, instead of Clint I've always headcannoned Demetrius as autistic
Slingshot Demetrius
Use slingshot
Thank you for reminding me to boost my friendship with someone else before the fair!
penny is an underrated icon. i love her so much-imarry her on every farm. not only is she the only teacher in pelican town but she cares so much for her students and is just great generally
PENNY WIFE MATERIAL I LOVE HER SO SO SO MUCH
Her and Shane are the marriage candidates I always struggle with
The fact that you put Leo in S Tier right off the bat made my day. The precious parrot boy needs more attention!
He's S tier for me too. He's such an interesting character and some of his dialogue is really funny like "accidentally squawked at the school desk a few times"
When he said he is a Robin simp, I get that man, when i learned i could marry people i wanted to marry her, but i found out i couldn't about 2 weeks later and then i was sad
Seanie: Elliott is boring.
Also Seanie: I really like Maru. She's funny.
This is a bad take
Science > poetry
I agree Gunther needs to be befriend-able, or at least show up at festivals.
I personally haven't been a huge fan of Abigail since my first playthrough where I romanced sebastian. idk it just rubbed me up the wrong way when Robin told her that he was busy working and she said she'd come over anyway. Dude just wanted his job to be respected :(
Same
elliott is literally the sweetest wym
Elliott is a literal king, he deserves all the good things in the world. And he's so dramatic it's adorable
He's one of my favorites lol
Elliott is so positively amusing with his dramatic flowery dialogue and the crab in his pocket line is just so cute
i think a lot of people think he is pretentious but his dialogue reads as genuine to me
I'm so glad to find someone else who really likes Alex. I kind of slept on him for a while, but I finally saw all of his heart events in a recent playthrough and it rocketed him up to being my favorite bachelor.
Bruh Elliot good man you don’t have to wait till winter for free coffee he gives it to you every once in a while
i’m pretty sure all spouses do that, sebastian does that tp
he writes you love letters when hes on his book tour too! :D
But haley's so mean it's funny :( she's such a treat for us masochists
And the way she becomes sweeter and sweeter once you befriend her is so satisfying. I love her.
How's therapy going for you?
I like how she developes and becomes a better person as you befriend her.
The moment she called me ugly on my first interaction with her i was like "oh yeah im marrying her"
her mean comments are just funny. its like she has such a huge ego she literally cant compliment you properly even when she tries💀
You talk to Gunther SO much too , especially if you try to complete the museum .
It wouldn't be to hard I don't think setting him similar to Clint where he just stays there all day until night time when he closes and he can go to the tavern
And maybe the more you donate to the museum you could get a heart or two per like 10-15 items you donate so it's not overpowered to much
ive always loved how all of the intolerable villagers become more likable after their later heart events. the ones i can think of here are mostly Shane and Haley, where Shane is much nicer and is more happy about life and Haley is less shallow and begins to enjoy the little things in life. and i greatly respect that
Honestly, watching Seanie simp over Robin was adorable, and honestly, I agree, we need more Robin love in this fandom
as an elliot simp who insta married him, this hurts 😂😭
SAEM.
And to add insult to injury, he thinks Maru is funny? Like, dude, she has no personality.
Elliott is the sweetest. I don't understand why so many people hate him. 😭
I’m a librarian IRL and he has the whole quirky writer vibe. Need I say more?
@@VaryaEQa lot of people find him pretentious. Plus he refers to Gus as “barkeep” in a way that felt kinda condescending
I got the "Don't talk to my daughter" cutscene the day before I was marrying Sebastian and it's the most horribly in character thing I've ever seen
@@dweebicusmaximus lmao demetrius truly sucks
The guy had that "stay away from my daughter" conversation with me after I had married. And married a dude no less. Like mate, do you not see the pendant? More than that, *weren't you there?*
"And his name starts with clint"
Well, at least Elliot isn’t at the very bottom for once 😭 Robin definitely deserves better. I wish she was marriable
Fruit, in fact, is scientific and not subjective.
I think it means more because they come from flowers, a very generally accepted “definition” for fruit. Which is all semantics and not relevant but a very common reason people claim that they’re fruit (even though it’s subjective)
He creeped me out so much on Maru’s heart event, I never spoke to him again lol
@@roseb135 Yes but by that logic cucumbers, eggplants and pumpkins are also fruits. This is a flaw in the English language for not having two different words for "fruit", the scientific distinction of the part of a plant that bears seeds, and "fruit", the culinary class of food items. Other languages, like Dutch, do have separate words.
i love your energy, you have this genuine excitement that i really enjoy whenever you talk about stardew valley and anything else you like!!! im really glad i found your videos, keep up the great work :D
My theory: Leah is Robin's little sister
My Theory: Leah exists because CA saw how popular Robin was but couldn't change her to be a marriage candidate.
Seanie: **gets excited**
The mic: *Change da world. My final message. Goodbyeee...*
Running for mayor should fr be an option
Dude George's 6 heart event made me cry
I was fishing in stardew while watching this and everytime he swore with the fishing noise I got caught off guard for nothing
" And his name starts with Clint- " IM ROLLING
Clint was my first 10 heart relationship and I've regretted it ever since
I’m still mad at myself for “kicking Krobus out of my house” on accident, and that was like a year ago…
do a tier list of the villagers that drugged you the most
Haley as a wife is such a sweetheart 🥺
Ngl, when I first bought the game, I wanted to marry Robin immediately
I rebounded to Leah
He's a shadow, of course he doesn't go out during the day
Shane is my favorite since I had/have depression that was similar to his. Though I was his bestie for like a year before doing the romance side around winter of year 2.
I low-key didn't think you could jump to marry someone in less than a year-- though at least it's better than the Sims. You just need one night on those games to marry lol
Although I will say that you should not be able to give him beer past a certain point whenever he says he's just been drinking sparkling water xD
Shane is genuinely a very sweet guy once you get him to go to therapy. I love him so much.
I like the birdie just because of that quest where you get her dead husbands keepsake and the cutscene is adorable.
Morris actually works to improve the town with the money you give him. Lewis, on the other hand, rips off the town, steals the money he takes, and mistreats Marnie, and you put Morris below him? Insane.
Well Morris is a representation of capitalism stealing the pastoral fantasy that's at the heart of stardew
Seanie's tier lists are the only tier list videos I enjoy watching. These are amazing
The funniest thing about this video is how seanie’s mic cant handle his highnotes 😂😂
Pierre's the worst, you can't change my mind.
Also, Robin and Marnie deserve better!
@@nolifehn and Sebastian
But you would be nothing without Pierre
I could go on about my opinions on all the NPCs but I'll say that I'm not really a fan of Robin that much, but I do think she is very nice and cool. I wish her whole house had more development though. like I wish she talked more about Seb and Maru, and it makes me sad that her relationship with Seb is so strained. She seems to try and wants Demetrius and Seb to get along but past a book in her bedroom she doesn't seem to be trying very hard. Also Seb living in the basement and all that.
To be fair, I don't think Seb minds living in the basement as much as living with Demetrius lmao.
@@UshioKiss Well, that's what I mean. I'm pretty sure Seb has that room because he wants it, and probably would refuse a different room.
Harvey is amazing as a spouse. Back rubs! Balloon rides! S-tier and you can't change my mind.
"Clint creeps on Emily" - ... you mean like the player creeps ok their chosen bachelor? remembering their daily schedule, following them everywhere...
People are probably crazy on Abigail because back in the day she was the most developed female NPC. Only she and Alex had any hearth events.
I just
adore Emily so much
She's actually a really great spouse too!
Man I was devastated when I found out I couldn’t marry Robin, I’m glad there are others who agree with me
I married Alex on my first save because of his cutscenes. That music box one in particular. S tier all the way.
The difference between being a new and adept Stardew player is how much you want to punt Pierre and Lewis
Marlon, Gil and Gunther should 100% be regular NPCs, and I think taking a page out of the mods and making Morris and the Joja cashier girl a regular NPC would be awesome.
when i first started playing, i didn't understand why people hated on pam. but i've since seen the light.
Despite being married to Alex I do not recall the beach heart scene. But I love Leo, and was like "I wanna adopt him" so his 6(?) heart event made me happy lol
I like that his voice keeps going super high pitch so the mic can't even pick it up
Im upset. How could you put elliot so low?? Hes dreamy long hair reserved writer man and he does cute little sweet things like write you poems and letters when you marry him. Always my go to marry man. Blasphemy.
/j, dont hurt me
the linus heart event where gus gives him free food and says he doesn’t want anyone in stardew valley to go hungry makes me weep every time i see it, it’s so good
I was looking at my phone while watching the video, and every time i heard the fishing noise I clicked agressively.
Emily’s the worst. She kisses you against your will, even if you’re already married.
HUH??
I wish we had rival events with the marraible characters
For you Robin simps who don't know yet:
There is a Robin Romance mod.
That's all I shall say
I have a feeling the developer has a thing for Red heads (the thing could be platonic or familial but I still think it counts lol)
Good lord this mustached man makes me laugh 😂 Ty Seanie for making me feel better while I'm sick. This is batshit hilarious
Linus is hands-down my favourite. Anyone that chill is going to be my fave, no contest.
I liked Elliot originally, but after that comment about an 8-hour writing session (and his truly awful book reading), I was like - No. Any other writers who felt the same?
I wish that Linus, Marlin and Gil talked about Grandpa.
I'm interested either way)
They should make marnie and sandy barchelorettes
we need a mod where you can break up Demetrius and robin, then marry robin and pick if her kids can move in too
I love how passionate and enthusiastic you with the characters haha
Though the mic quality kept changing throughout the video unless it's just my earbuds 😅
In this video you say Henchman is C tier and you don't care but then in the Haley cosplay video you say Henchman is unironically your favorite character. So which is it??
Your Robin rating is so on point :]
george has been through enough, he’s allowed to be an a hole
“He gives me cool gifts and stuff” about the guy that sends you mail bombs…
