Josh....please make sure they put Legend Heavy Duty shocks on back and Legend front end. A 131 in that would be a screamer. I will grab a couple of tickets on payday for the kids. The bike and truck would be nice, but helping the kids is better.
That bike is 100+lbs less than the Roadking and it has a lot less air resistance. That'll make a massive difference in how powerful it feels. The Softail's rip man, no doubt. Even the 107 in a bike like the Softail Standard feels like an animal.
I want to think you, Burts, and Ford for what your helping forgotten angles to do. My three youngest children are all adopted. These kids are hurting from the day they're born. When they go into the system they're just numbers but with forgotten angles, they have a chance to become a person they can be proud of. I’ve always did a “hard break in” on every bike I’ve ever owned except one that I bought used and never had any issues. Just ride it like it’s gonna be rode the rest of the time

Only Harley I've road is the 1200 Sporty I own. It goes from 0 to 60 real quick and in a hurry. I was just reading that it should have a 1/4 mile time of around 13 sec. I don't have any problem keeping up.
It's that time of year again....sigh. Got to ride for, who knows, probably the last time again for the year here in the upper mid-west. Now I just get to ride vicariously thru STS and the Brap Star gang for the next 4-5 months till the ice and snow go away. Keep the vids coming and I'm stoked to see the new build! I bought my first bike from a good friend who forgot he's been riding it around on reserve. It ran out of gas on the farthest most curviest road, miles away from any gas station. Good times.

Thunderheaders have been around for years. Ron Sims' Bay Area Custom Cycles marketed that exhaust system. I've always dug bikes with a low weight/high power ratio. A 131 engine has enough of a hang on and scream potential. Possible mods could include: cleaning up the heads, a decent bolt-in cam (possibly Zipper's) a proven exhaust system/air cleaner, the "right" tune, and a hi-po clutch.
I love those low riders! The 4x4 Ranger is cool too! I am at the time in my life (retired and recovering from heart surgery) that they would both be killer to have. I am going to buy my tickets now! That bike needs a little higher bars and a FXRT fairing! My wife's 114 Street Bob is WAY FASTER than my 114 Street Glide Special! It also vibrates more and is not as smooth a ride...Keep fighting the good fight guys! You're doing great things!!!

It's like a dang movie set

I have a 1590cc 2006 FXST with mini-apes, a Mikuni, 585 gear drives with a 2-into-1 Magnaflow. It's a lot of fun and will lay down some rubber. Keep the RPMs in the band that the cams like and it's a damned load of fun. I was a like "WTF?! Why are you passing up riding that 1550cc beast?!" The ol' "drop a gear and disappear" is very applicable when you get into the big-bore kits, Mikuni carbs, and hotter cams.

My 2021 Low Rider S with a 122 kit in it is honestly a little scary. Will scorch the tire through just about every gear and can hang curves at crazy speeds. By far best bike I have ever sat on!

i own that exact bike in the same color, and year. number one thing to do is fix that rear brake. i put vance and hines slip ons it sounds great. but dam those rear brakes.

Lot of people are saying Ohlin’s suspension, big scalded-ape engine (131 or bigger), and an FXR-T fairing. I’d add a bigger sissy bar to that list & send ‘er!
Legend suspension hands down over ohilins definitely engine upgrades no t-bars eww , and definitely a fairing such as FXR or an aftermarket wedge or something cool and some hard saddlebags for sure

It is faster bottom end than the RKS stock for stock. It is 150lbs lighter and geared different. Put Leading edge 151ci kit and turbo it! That would get the engine size match and both would be turbo… idk how rideable it would be, but it would be real fun.
Hey, I have one of those. Only complaint I have is I feel like I'm on a tiny ass bike with the mid controls on it. If you're going to do a build, put a 131 and a FXRT fairing on it. I'm thinking about doing it with mine, but hey I'd love to see someone else do it too lol

I love those Saddlemen Step Up seats for short rides but after doing two 600 days in a row on one I had to switch mine out. I was hurting. I knew I had a couple of iron butt rides coming up and I would never make it on that seat

Put the biggest motor upgrade you can. Go 131, flash the ECU, commander, exhaust, intake, then put NOS on it. Mad max that thing out.
I think it would look cool to put a FXRT style upper and lower fairings on it. Matching paint/graphics to the ranger and even have the seat custom to match the Ranger interior.

Lot of people are saying Ohlin’s suspension, big scalded-ape engine (131 or bigger), and an FXR-T fairing. I’d add a bigger sissy bar to that list & send ‘er!
Legend suspension hands down over ohilins definitely engine upgrades no t-bars eww , and definitely a fairing such as FXR or an aftermarket wedge or something cool and some hard saddlebags for sure

Putting a DK Customs breater system/Stage 1 for my M8 made a huge difference on my 2019 Softail Slim. Rock on!

It is faster bottom end than the RKS stock for stock. It is 150lbs lighter and geared different. Put Leading edge 151ci kit and turbo it! That would get the engine size match and both would be turbo… idk how rideable it would be, but it would be real fun.
159ci crate engine, moonshine harley transmission, BDL centrifugal clutch, kevlar clutch plates, trask turbo kit, rebuild ft forks with an adjustable fork set... endless accessories......
Hey, I have one of those. Only complaint I have is I feel like I'm on a tiny ass bike with the mid controls on it. If you're going to do a build, put a 131 and a FXRT fairing on it. I'm thinking about doing it with mine, but hey I'd love to see someone else do it too lol

First thing is to put the beefiest brakes you can put with lightweight rotors! No point installing HP with underpowered wooden brakes.

I love those Saddlemen Step Up seats for short rides but after doing two 600 days in a row on one I had to switch mine out. I was hurting.
I knew I had a couple of iron butt rides coming up and I would never make it on that seat
on the new raffle bike i think that some blue and green pin striping or blue and green flames mmmm delicious would be cool on that grey.
A 131 clubstyle bike with badass paint and some bags would be a hooligan dream bike 💪💪
