I love my 2004 Roadstar that I paid $2500. I can ride the hell out of it for another 5 years and still sell it for the same $2500 I paid for it!

With patience and some negotiation, you can find great deals with private party sales. A couple months ago, I bought a fuel injected 2005 RK, 15000 miles, for $4500. Bike is VERY clean and well maintained.
The only thing wrong with the "Cheapest Bike" vids is that after I watch them I want to buy another motorcycle. I have more bikes than I can ride already.
One can never have too many bikes. Or guitars.

The road king, road glide, and street glide are all basically the same bike with different front end “stuff”. The frame ect... are the same. They ride almost the same. Have had all three. Love them all! 🍻

James RCNO damn, those are good prices. I routinely see that kind of asking price for 1200 sportsters of the same vintage here! It’s all good, though; I’m looking for a 1986-2003 solid mount sportster for cheap, not a newer one. Just gotta be patient...
Our local HD dealer (1 hour away) would wipe their own asses with 2k.
Heck, they want 600$ for a damn jacket. WTF?!?
The only thing I found relatively affordable, which was a big surprise to me, was the service dept., and they did great and quick work for me.

There is one farther south that is such snobs about "other than Harley" bikes, they make you feel as if it was an intrusion want to buy and install a tire or get an accessory for your "other than" bike. They are close to us than Manns and I just won't go back there.

I remember a few years back you had to get on a waiting list. Now, my local Harley dealership takes trades on metric, used cars and boats. Boy have times changed.

In my youth I kept my bikes going with a welder,baling wire, used parts and hope. Now I'm older and own fine machines but it was big fun riding my beaters!

It’s really cool to see a Harley dealership that will sell the metric bikes. All of the Harley dealers near me will accept the metrics as trade but they will not sell them on their lot. Instead they wholesale them to the metric dealers.
I have bought two of my bikes from Harley dealers. They are both metrics.
Your Name I currently live in the US in the state of Illinois. I had to travel over an hour away to get my HD Sport Glide. The closest dealer to me didn’t have one and since I wanted the orange color option it didn’t make it easy to find one.
I traded in a 2019 CBR650r and before we could agree on the trade in value the sales manager had to call another dealership that sells metric bikes to agree on price with them first.
I believe the Harley dealers here have to be grandfathered in to sell metrics.
$7200 for a Sportster is insane. The dealership closest to me is selling a nightster for $4995. It looks to be like a nice bike too.
Yeah they do that here in Dallas too.

I don't live very far from the triangle. Haven't made the whole ride before, but i plan on it soon.
Just thought I'd tell you that you inspired me to go goldwing with those videos a while back looking for it.
I ended up grabbing an 85 LE with 18.5k miles for just $1700. Not perfect but for my first bike in 25 years it's pretty sweet especially for cruising the east coast. If you ever end up coming through NY to go to the falls I'd love to ride with ya! Either way thanks for inspiring me to get my golden shower on (that's what I'm calling it for now). Thanks weirdos!
Ride the Overseas highway come winter. Head north to the South and rip around the North Ga, west N.Carolina, and east Tenn area. Good luck and Goldspeed.
Japenese bikes are definitely much more affordable than Harleys. Used Vulcans and Shadows are a great deal. Personally I ride a used Harley, but I certainly had to pay a premium. Had my budget been a little lower, would have gone with a Japanese bike.

Cherohala Parkway from Bryson City over to Maryville, TN and back through The Great Smokies National Park is another gorgeous ride near the Dragon.
Great video man 👌👌 if you're ever up a little closer to WV or passing through holler at me. I know a few nice roads with nice views. The Seneca Trail is a beautiful ride.

I love vulcans I have 2. There pretty great. My 900 I've never had issues and I bought a mean steak for the simple fact it had a shaft drive and there low maintenance. It's currently in the shop getting the shaft rebuilt
I always had a thing against financing motorcycles myself, until my wife convinced me to take the plunge on my Ultra Classic. Still have that nagging feeling in the back of my head about it "not really" being mine yet, but I'd finance my next bike in a heartbeat. Hell, I've already got my next Harley in mind.

Hell yeah, I just scored a 05 RK scooped out to 95ci with cams on Craigslist for 6k... Road king is the best Harley imo.

I had a 2000 Vulcan 1500 classic, put 67,000 miles on it before I sold it and bought a CBR1100XX....I went the other way from cruiser to sports..lol
As soon as I saw the Heritage I thought it would look incredible in full Police kit.

I LOVE my '17 Road King Standard. I'm throwing a lower kit on it to drop it 1 3/8" on the rear, but otherwise, she is set with 14" apes and a full Stage 1 setup. Plenty of power out of the M8 and reliable. Burt's needs to keep an eye out for a Shadetree King. ;)
Hail to the King! I love my Road King for the same reasons Shadetree does - love the lack of a fairing and the feel of the road not being blocked.
I rode the Tail a few weeks ago. Was awesome but if you go that far be sure to check out the Devils Triangle and the Moonshiners 28.

For the Price of the Heritage you get in Germany a used Sportster or a damaged Dyna if you want only a H-D. No Way!!!

I traded in my Kawasaki Z900 at my local dealer for my Road Glide. They usually have a good metric selection. I even got to see my old bike get sold about a month ago.
Damn that lizard was extra weight. After you sent him packing the bike looked much faster.
I live in Wisconsin. My parents had a house down in St. Pete. They actually brought 2 lizards home on some plants one winter by accident. I caught one and kept it in a jar for a good month at least. I lucked out one day and found some fly’s at a remodeling job I was doing. They were barely alive as it was late winter. I fed the lizard with those. Anyway I smuggled the lizard jar in my carry on bag. Flew back to Tampa. Rented a car. Drove to St. Pete back to the house and let the lizard back out into the yard it came from. True story! 🦎
Got an ‘03 Vulcan nomad a year ago with broken odometer ....guy said it had 25K on it....fixed odometer....find out it had less than 11K miles on it! Love love LOVE this bike!!!!

I owned a Kawa Vulcan 900 classic. That bike was indestructible. Did my longer trips on that machine back in 2009. I had the money, wouldnt have sold it... in fact would have kept all my bikes.

I've had three Vulcans: 1500 &1600 Classics and a 1600 Mean Streak. Can't say enough good about them. Really great engines that sound as close to a Harley as a metric bike can.
I've been convinced for a quick minute that a Road King is my next bike. And I love the EVO's. One day I'll have the big boy version of my sporty

The Berts vids are great. My sister is thinking about getting her first street bike. She was going down to look at a bike at a local Harley dealership so I met her than on my lunch break. While we were walking around my wife called and before I could tell her I wasn't there for me " no more strays".

The grips on that Softail is the same grips I have and love it
I have a vulcan 800. Gets me to highway speeds faster than my truck, yet tame enough that it doesn't punish me with death when I crack the throttle too much in a corner. Cheap insurance, big enough that I feel comfortable on it at 5"11. Stock pipes, with just the right amount of rust in the baffles makes it sound mint
I don't comment much on your channel but I watch every video. Every one of them is thoughtfully put together and nicely filmed, and are extremely watchable. Can't wait for the Raspberry Beret Cross Country!

Vulcan is the bike i'm learning on :) My freind uses it as a teaching bike and has definitely taken a beating. Its pretty comfortable for a 5'5 girl.

My in law uses Bert's they always took great care of him, I started going to them because I work literally 2 miles away they always do an amazing job for me... 2006 electra glide that gramps beat the hell out of it since brand new and I beat the hell out of it too... i will continue to use Bert's every time, even if i pass 3 other HD on the way
I currently own a 2005 Twin Cam Heritage Softail, but that's just because we didn't have a Road King in stock that I could afford. And just to be real, last year, I rode that Heritage from Sanford, ME to Halls, TN and back in 4 days. For those who aren't counting, that's 2,800 miles.
Love the Heritage ! Hey FYI , if you haven't looked at spinal decompression for that Sciatica , check it out . I had it so bad I couldn't stand , sit , lay down , pretty much I was crippled with pain . Did the decompression , haven't had it since , 18 years . Got other back problems now , but no sciatica . Expensive , cheaper than surgery , worth every penny . Enjoy the road tests , great content .
Vulcan 1500 classic was my first cruiser had a batwing and bags off of a 92 FLH.

First few minutes of the video, lizard hitch hikers are definitely a Florida bigger problem, lol. I head one hitchhike on my tach from Lakeland to Altamonte on my R6.
39 degrees, in Minnesota my riding group generally rides until it hits 39 and as soon as it's back up to 39 in the spring all the bikes come out.
In denmark a herritage like that would cost almost 10 times as much lol

Loved my 99 1500 Drifter. Removed the muffler and cat. Sounded great and was super comfortable! That Nomad with the faring looked great but my next bike has to be a M8 Road King!!

The last Vulcan my dad and I purchased kept breaking down. Kind of lest a bad taste in my mouth after that. I have kept away from Vulcan, but after watching Shade tree on this one I might re consider.
