with three carnos you could take vengeful defender and make a big run on one flank. I also feel that the carnos after the first could be scar vets. Its not much, but it helps with killing enemy monsters, finishing heroes, etc.

Wowee last sunday I got 2 carnosaurs, 5 stegs and 6 krox, looks like i can fit in a bunch more stuff now!

I am absolutely feasting in this update right now, amazing for my lizards and my trees
Here's the shooting Thunder Lizards list I'm looking to run. I personally never look at the Spawn for his -1 to save attack, his horde clearing fire breath is worthwhile imo. Then a cannon to punch through heavy armor, but mainly I just like the model and converted one with a bunch of skinks crawling and manning it.

I think my 1000 points list got roughly 45-50 points cheaper. I also wanted to paint up a spawn of chotec before the last game and I managed to get him painted up in time. He did exceptional good against a zombie horde. Not really his buff/disbuff, but the damage output in general. And now he is even a bit less expensive. Splendid!
No love for the trog.
Honestly, the last time I ran TLizards was on TTS with a dread saurian and it was fun af. I've been running monsters off and on in other lists, and my playgroup actually is afraid of the carnosaur (just had good luck with those jaws). Would be fun to put together a list again.
as an aside, I'm afraid the dread saurian will be gone in the new edition, as he's pretty much been phased out. Which makes me sad. When I think BIG dino I think him and the carno.
Yeah, one day... i hope they bring him back in plastic... and on a base size that is actually playable! Dread Saurian would make such a great centerpiece model again
Hmm. I was already on the Thunderlizards Train. I mostly value the shooting potential and the tank value.
What my list lacked was fast units that could grab objectives or Surround and destroy. So i guess i add a unit of Terradon Riders.

What are your overall thoughts on the latest Seraphon battle tome vs the previous one? The new one has had some fun stuff and changes but I definitely preferred the old one, largely because it feels like they’re restricting the units used in coalesced vs starborne lists.
Yeah, definitely. It would be nice to be able to mix and match the units a bit more. Things will be interesting with 4th edition on the horizon!

Buddy, i noticed you didnt talk about the extra wound for the Kroxigor 4 ->5. Its not the 6 of next Edition but isnt that valuable too? And the Command trait above it (both page 3, right column).
Both of those changes were from the previous Battlescroll. But yep, the extra wound on the Krox is nice!!

I also find it odd that in this update that Seraphon can take Cities of Sigma as allies but Cities of Sigma can not take Seraphon.
It could be worst. You could not even know anymore if your army is ASO or the old world.
