This is my favorite Zeppelin song. I bought this album back in high school in 1975 and wore it out.
Here, 31 years later with Jason Bonham taking his dad's place, it is still timeless.
    Yes it was in Godzilla.

Back in the day, I wore out my Zeppelin LP's, 8 tracks, cassettes, and CD's, and I'm actually kind of jelly that these new generations get to experience this kind of greatness for the first time. FYI: Zeppelin is the 7th best selling artists on the planet of all time ... the list is as follows Beatles, Elvis, Michael Jackson, Elton John, Queen, Madonna . . . . . Led Zeppelin.

Fun Fact: that was JASON Bonham on the drums. The significance of that is Zeppelin's drummer JOHN Bonham (aka Bonzo) died in 1980 tragically and unexpectedly in his sleep of asphyxiation of vomit due to acute alcohol intoxication. The tragedy was the end of Led Zeppelin.😞 Point is, John Bonham's son Jason was only 10y/o when his father passed. This performance was 27 yrs after the great John Bonham's death. It was such a beautiful thing to see his son take his place for this reunion, and even better... he's playing on his father's drum set!!!🥰
Of note: After the passing of John Bonham, the remaining members decided they could not go on with anyone else on drums... they said it just wouldn't be Zeppelin anymore. The magic was between the 4 four of them and no one could take his place. Turns out, almost 3 decades later... his son Jason was the one person who could take his father's place. Beautiful all the way around!! Great reaction and keep going with Led Zeppelin, you will get a whole new appreciation for music and quite a lesson on how art inspires art. Zeppelin are masters at honoring their musical idols and creating a whole new sound for us to enjoy. And funny enough... their music went on to inspire generations after them. Hell, Hip-Hop and Rap artists are still sampling Led Zeppelin and many other rock artists from the 70's and 80's. Good music is good music no matter the decade. Music inspires, unites and heals light nothing else.🤗 It bridges the divides of age, gender, ethnicity, religion, social class and the like. 🤦‍♀ K, I'm gonna stop rambling now and just say... loved seeing how this moved you.
    Members of Led Zeppelin:
    - Robert Plant-vocals (and sometimes harmonical!😍)
    - Jimmy Page-lead guitar (also did most of the production in the studio😉)
    - John Paul Jones-bassist and keyboardist
    - John Bonham- drums (in this performance it's his son Jason)
I recommend you start with 3 of their earliest and biggest hits. I can almost guarantee you've heard (and loved) bits and pieces of each throughout your life. They are ICONIC and AWESOME!!!!🙃
1.) from 1969 "WHOLE LOTTA LOVE" official vid (it's a compilation of live performances, it's fun as hell!!😜)
2.) from 1971 "STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN" live at Madison Square garden 1973 video. It's a MUST on a Zeppelin journey.😉 You'll get a better feel for who Zeppelin is as a whole by seeing them perform this song!!! It's dang near a religious experience!!!😅 SERIOUSLY, if u wanna get a better feel on who they were together... do the live at MSG first!!!
3.) from 1970 "IMMIGRANT SONG" official vid
Just my thoughts for whatever it's worth!🤷‍♀ Great reaction!!👊 Peace and light...💞
    RIP John Bonham🙏

Led Zeppelin has been my absolute favorite musical act since the mid seventies. Ren is now vying for the top spot. This is from their reunion show in 2007 when they had Jason Bonham, son of the original drummer, John, fill in. They went out sounding brilliant. Members of the Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Metallica, Foo Fighters and more were in the audience that night. Tickets were sold online and they had over 20 million requests for tickets. Richard Branson offered them 800 million dollars to tour. They didn't.
*Edit: interestingly, I just saw on Instagram that it was this date in '98 that Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page was in New York recording with Puff Daddy their "Kashmir" retake, "Come With Me" for the Godzilla soundtrack.

True GOAT's. The drummer Jason Bonham, is the son of the original drummer John "Bonzo" Bonham and he did his dad proud. The guitarist Jimmy Page was a long-time studio musician in the early 60's and formed Zeppelin in the late 60's. Always better "live" because there was always improvisation. I loved going to their concerts in the 70's.

I've been a zep fan for almost 40 years and never saw the band live, i saw plant and page 2 times later, but this is one of the greatest musical performances (in terms of all 4 members having a big impact on the each part of the song). I never get tired of this song, this version, the '79 live version or the recorded version. I'm happy that you enjoyed it, but if you've not listened to zep before, you're missing out on 50+ great songs. In my opinion, this is their best, but they have tons of other songs that are definately worth listening to. They played some of the old songs and did very good, but nothing like the originals. I've also gone to a couple of Get the Led Out cover concerts. There is so much to listen for. But you have to listen to the studio version first, then the live. Greatest songs ever!!! Start with Led Zeppelin 1. You can’t go wrong with these guys, AWESOME

@Cliff Beats. Try to watch their last reunion concert Celebration Day at the 02 in 2007 so you can see for yourself why Led Zeppelin is so beloved. At that age, they can still perform at a level that's not easy - almost impossible - to replicate because their heart and soul is in every note of the songs they play. Goosebumps right from start. Tears you can't control. Maybe they are old souls reincarnated at the same time to share with us this one of a kind experience, how it feels to be in the presence of the god of rock. How you wish it will never end. But then these gods are mortal. One of them even left too early. Otherwise... Well, some good things never last. Let us just be thankful and enjoy their music. Have a nice day❤

I love seeing a persons eyes open for the first time. LED Zeppelin has been my favorite band since I was 12. I’m 67 now and still love them and don’t ever get tired of listening to them. Now you understand why so many older people are stuck in the 70’s. It was the most wondrous time to be a teenager.
