  • ( Looking for the 'Guy Performs Magic for Orangutang' card through window? I just shared the method here: • Card Through Glass EXP... )
    In this very special lesson I teach a few of my solutions to the ‘Card Through Glass’ plot - in this case, it’s Suzan Sausage’s coffee table and I offer some both gimmicked and straight up Sleight-of-Hand methods for convincing our audience that their signed card actually penetrated glass. Enjoy!

    The participant signs a playing card, then the musician looses that card inside the deck. In that action the magician has stolen the participants bank account and credit card details. I am Daniel Madison, and this is bank fraud.

    More than tutorial and far more than one "trick," this exposition of "Breach" is exemplary of all things magic and everything a growing magician needs to bear in mind as they develop a complete sense of the Art. By having so many manners of achieving the same fantastic effect, Daniel provides the method one uses to explore ins, outs, and the weavings through a complete process, using that process as an open ended concept for exploitation in one magician's many accessible levels of freedom and capability.
    This video of Breach is the celebration of one core concept in magic, which gives rise to many of its achievable applications. Bravo, and bless your generosity and mastery on full display together. Daniel Madison, you are a very real artist, and you give us an avenue into that place of power in all you've shared.

    Your viewers will never experience the agony i experienced 10 years ago trying to learn the move you had in your book, in order to move the card from the top of the deck to the bottom of the deck, while "trying to pass the card from the deck under the table , over the table" . We have similar hands( i think my hands are a bit bigger 1.90cm 100kg ) so i think you ll understand what i am talking about.
    Even that pain though was nothing compared to the pain you made me go through for months while trying to bottom deal after watching you on P&T fool us.
    You are the reason i really fell in love with magic so i just felt i wanted to share this with you. Keep up the good work man. You have one of the best pair of hands I ever seen.

    Man love u . Your effects are amazing. This effect is amazing. If u want you can make it better by by splitting the layer of the falling card and putting in a very thin price of magnetic metal.

    • @DANIELmadison
      @DANIELmadison  4 года назад +1

      FANX! Great idea! I'm going to try it, I do wonder if the card will be too thin, showing the shape of the magnet, but I'll find out!

    • @JoeKentMagic

      Remember though ...
      The dual magnets assure perfect alignment of the cards that you won't get from a piece of metal.

    Fanx, Very visual effect and great that it plays with the spectators senses. I think it's better using the dupe & beautifully basic SOH rather than the gimmicked version .

      Mad respect, the icon design is what does that, I believe - any deck that takes up less design room, and more negative space, allows us to thing and see more clearly, creatively x

    I wonder if it would also work if using a shimmed card under the glass instead of one with magnets? Although I guess then they wouldn't auto line up... But could be worth exploring.
    Thanks as always for the great content and inspiration!

    • @DANIELmadison
      @DANIELmadison  4 года назад +1

      YES for sure this would work, but you're right - with the 2 magnets, you can be sure that the card will line up perfectly, it's a little more tricky when you have to think about lining the card up perfectly by judgement.

    This is free gold, what a tutorial, Chris Ramsay pointed me in your direction and im so glad he did, just received my 4 packs of brand new bicycle playing cards and looking forward to getting back into card magic, magnets and sticky tape will soon be on order.
    Is there no way of separating the gimic 7 of hearts from the bottom of the deck (an index finger break just as you get to the glass) and then sliding the whole deck from nearset to you into the center with the gimic card following underneath via the magnets, using your forearm to conseal any lagg of the gimic card, then you could get away from your left hand being under the glass.

    You are an amazing magician/teacher Daniel. Your card handling and detailed tutorials are way beyond anyone else do.

      FANX Hector, I think this maybe just proof of practice and how long it can take to master an effect - in dexterous ability. Our minds are usually too fast for our hands so it's not easy to know how to do something, yet your hands keep failing you. Patience is our best friend and simply knowing that we WILL get what we want becomes enough to find peace with the amount of time it can take x

    You're not someone that is known as using gimmicks. And I do not say that, as you shouldn't. I am curious how did you start getting into gimmicked magic cards like this. I have seen you do other tricks in the past where you use gimmicks and I'm wondering were your influences have come from.

    • @DANIELmadison
      @DANIELmadison  4 года назад +1

      Magicians must have an open mind when confronting solutions - I live by the idea 'by any means necessary' - if a gimmick helps us make the Magic appear more real, then we have to take advantage of that x
