My man, Your setups are absolutely perfect, I've picked up 10ths where I thought I had no room for improvement. Keep making videos! You've got a new fan
Hi Arnout. Just started with SimRacing, chose the McL on Nürburgring GP to learn the basics. Was doing 2:00 plus and was plateauing there for a while. After i made progress in understanding what my FFB wheel is telling me i was able to get my best time to 1:56:450. I know its not great and i am questioning myself if i better stop trying, but it is what it is. To get some fun again (and because i am a Porsche 911 fanboy) i just wanted to do some laps with the Porsche. Tried the default setups and downloaded some good (good for capable pilots) setups, but never managed to get times below 2:00. With the "good" setups i mostly spun out. Then i tried your Level 4 setup and after approx 60 minutes i drove a 1:56:060. Almost half a second faster in the "difficult" 911, i was really surprised and had a very needed "fun moment". Thank you for that, great job!
@jg4_skylon848 I have been sim racing for a year now and the best i can do on Nurburgring is a 1:55.4 so if you are getting 1:56s after just starting that is really good honestly. Don't worry about others pace just focus on beating your own laptimes
I have try the lv1 setup, I'm beginners and I always dream test the 992 but because it's hard to drive I was always avoid to buy the dlc, and keep rolling with 991, she have a lot nervus. thanks to your video, I have test the car and it's awesome, I can't believe it's so better, thanks you very much.
More Porsche videos! I love this car, but I also know that once a race It is going to throw me into the barriers. The spicy part is that I never know when it is going to happen. I am excited to try out your different set-ups. How many laps until the tires start falling off? Currently, I'm doing 10 and 20 minute races and not sure if it is an issue for me or not. A great video would be "How to drive the Porsche effectively." Basically tips and tricks on how to handle it in different scenarios: curbs, turns, throttle/braking, early/late race, etc. Also, what have you been finding better: brake, coast, accelerate or brake, a touch of throttle, accelerate? I have heard somewhere that the Porsche does not like trail braking, but not sure if that is valid or not. Thanks for another great video!
I kinda setup this car for my normal inputs but this car could benefit from NOT coasting! But then again that is for me a bit hard. As for wear after 45 min im pretty much wanne get new tires
Great vid thank you for sharing all. Question time: if I take your exact ride heights and just put full tank, actually at the end of the stint I would have a higher front ride height. At least, this is what I have learnt from ACC. To tune it up, should I initially set a lower height such that I would end up to your ride height that you set for 15 liters in your Lv1/2/3/4 setups? Or else how do you set the ride heights with full tank? Thanks a lot
@@SimracingArnout ok, but when I want to start a long run with high fuel level, which height should I put? The same that you use for the setup with 15 liters?
Hi Sim Racing Arnout, after having used the Ferrari 296, for next season I would like to try the Porsche. One doubt that stops me is the durability of the tyres. In your experience, how long do the tires last on average on the Porsche? Thank you very much in advance for your reply…😉🙏
Hey Andrea, what i found that after like 15 minutes of a stint you can start to feel the car becoming more nervous. And it is pretty much downhill from there, like i said in the video you want to build a setup with 20mins old tyers.
I race Porsches exclusively (GT3 R at the moment, earlier...RSR). Is there a possibility that we set up a Porsche so that it drives like other cars rather than take advantage of what the Porsche has? Great acceleration, great brakes, great turning ratio, and a rear end that can aid you in rotating or completely destroy you. I race with max camber, toe in on the front, zero toe in the rear and mostly no TC. I practice sometimes in the cup car and have no TC and no ABS so I can see how the base car behaves before I work on setups. I think we might be losing some positives by turning the Porsche into say a Ferrari 296.
Saying to not slide in the Porsche is asking a lot of me, it's so fun! =) I bought your "Arnout's Preset for all GT3 cars in ACC" setup pack a few months ago to support you, this setup seems a little different from what I received, has it been tweaked a little more since?
@SmokinKipper keep the fun up the rest don't matter haha. You are right minor differences there the preset is still the same. In this video I kind of changed it a bit I guess I don't remember actually. Thanx for supporting mate
would io be able to use these setups through different tracks? obiously this track your making the set up for but could i use the same baseline setup for other tracks and maybe tweak?
@SimracingArnout got it. Thanks a lot 🙏. I have just started ACC after 4 years break. On ps5 though. Following your setups and guides. Really appreciate it 🙏
Simple technique. Buy assetto corsa take the shelby cobra without driving assists to the nordschleife and complete one fast lap... it works i guarantie
See i wanna be a Porsche girl but its scary as shit like one very small slip and i do mean small and the whole car goes ah yes that wall looks nice as you slide and spin along

I found that when i tune ride heights with less fuel the car behaves well with more fuel. I hope that answers your question

A trade off wil happen imo if you can handle the porsche's rear weight you can use this to your advantage.
does your 992 setups include Nurb, IMOLA, COTA?
They are multiple presets that work on every track, there is a very easy setup solver te fine tune them to your liking

Yess you can! But when you want to decrease the rear wing setting you might need to change a lot more
Do you use Motec to tune dampers or do you just go by the feel?
Just by feel motec is to time consuming. And these settings always work which is broken for now
hi, after almost a year is this setup still valid? Thank you

They work in the new update as well
