Nothing beats being able to put a car together (other games are way too limited on customization, yes that even goes for nfs and whatever else) and have several projects cars, or cars your just adding parts to or swapping wheels to in Ac; whether their drift cars for touge or drag cars or cruising because you want go ripping down the road. After playing the game for however I have played it for, never has it gotten old; you can practically have a lot of fun whether your putting /customizing a car together in blender or 3dsmax or find the giant amount of cars people make and you can find a download of it.
I’ve been running the game unmodded with my sim setup for about a year and just finally decided to add mods. Best decision ever. I already loved the vanilla game, so adding new maps, cars, and graphics was mind blowing, genuinely felt like a brand new game. The beauty of AC is it allows real enthusiasts to drive cars we could never afford (or ones that require a super license to drive) in places we could never get to see for real. The amount of time I’ve spent flying through the Shutoko Revival Project in tons of different cars and bikes is absurd. If you can, I HIGHLY recommend AC, as well as mods.
This is also a great VR racing sim, the base game is well optimized for VR, just have to be careful with some of the modded tracks and cars, so will kill the frame rate but others run really well. I started racing AC in VR on a i7 4790k, 16 gigs of ram, a GTX-980 with a Oculus CV1 HMD, some settings had to be turned down on this system but it was still a LOT of fun, now with my current system using a Reverb G2v2, I have all the eye candy turned on and it looks great and is still a lot of fun! :)
Ah i see you also went with the STRUGGLE, but yeah now on Quest 3 it's really on another level. Most people who play in VR are unaware that some cars and trucks are just high poly garbage, some of them like Fukuoka are fun but really high poly (around 95% cpu usage with 7800x3d, on Nordschleife for instance is 18% ). I personally don't use PP filter, just running Pure and supersampling at 1.3.
Ive been obsessed with VR gaming for probably 3 years. Assetto Corsa with a wheel and shifter in VR is hands down the best gaming expeirence Ive ever had. Only modding community Ive ever seen give Skyrim modding community a run for its money in terms of scale.
The fact that you didn't mention drifting is insane to me, this is objectively the best sim drifting game ever, nothing comes close (LFS would be second)
1:10 I'm sorry but I *SERIOUSLY DISAGREE!* Joining a multiplayer game is *definately NOT simple!* *EVERY NOOB of AC* will need to search on google or youtube *HOW to join a MultiPlayer game!* And it still has 2 *open* game windows!

Please share the link or links if you have them - I for one would appreciate it greatly and it's just good karma ;)
After 2 weeks vacation I came home and hopped into AC in VR for the first time in a few months. I played literally all day, grinding down lap times on the Nordschleife Touristfahren (?) Here are my bests so far! I beat my previous best times by like 10 seconds, I was super happy. ND Miata cup - 8:08 BTG, 8:32 full lap Gt86 - 8:26 BTG ND Miata - 8:27 BTG
It has delicious force feedback and seemingly endless modability. Arguably no game has ever matched how well it communicates car movement thru the wheel
It entirely depends on the track surface and vehicle imo. Iracing has a significantly better dirt physics than AC (and this is from an AC fan) I also feel as though ACC has a much better tyre physics model than AC, the latter of which often feels quite numb to me, I am only on a T300, however. A DD wheel may liven it up a smidgen but I wouldn't hold my breath.
@@MorbidTorov you're not wrong on the poor ac dirt physics, but have you updated to the latest CSP 2.3PREV11?? Some of the games out there that have the most longevity and long-term success have mods. In the sim-space, BeamNG and KSP come to mind as an example. Both are right around a decade old but still very much kicking. Even BeamNG's predecessor Rigs of Rods is still receiving updates and new mods nearly 20 years into its existence. There are countless more examples of this, the most successful of which is Minecraft, which persists because of mods and regular updates.
Nice to see in the video the insanely great Arrabassada Mod (A Famous road zone nearly Barcelona where IRL moto and car enjoyers go to ride), specially because behind this insane road mod there is only ONE man!!
Also, in the last few month, the new forza motorsport helped a lot. Forza was so bad that many of us just ditched simcade to go full hands on deck into simulation and so assetto corsa it is
this is the only game/sim that respects my time and life, I don't have to grind yet racing and winning still feels rewarding even playing against AI. I can literally play any cars and tracks anytime right out of the gate.
Make sure you get the content manager. It's basically a replacement for the default UI, and it's so good you'll wish every racing game had a similar UI.
I picked this game during sale with dlcs for dirt cheap. Ran with some mods on my potato laptop. Works really well. For gamepad users, The Gamepad Assist mod is really useful.
That's most likely the no hesi server with someones graphics settings including reshade. More than likely you will have to pay a little bit of money (1-2 dollars) for the graphics settings that the person is using. I know Bloob has some good graphical settings if you want to go check him out. It's mainly just called "dashcam reshade settings".
Right now (in germany) assetto corsa compezione is for 12 euros or dollars and with a bundle that has normal assetto corsa and the compezione for 13 euros or dollars which means it costs 1 euro
I think this game benefits from a rough start and slowly growing over time. A huge hype around a game inevitable leads to a large portion of the playerbase has seen everything at the same time. I still wish it had a decent driving school in the core game. But on the otherhand having to reach out online for help or input made a great community around the game.
i just got into it, i gave up on the new forza and i was looking for decent controller racing games and i couldn't be happier with it, after coming from the feature void and locked down motorsport its been amazing to be able to download all the tracks and cars i want and playing on modded servers is so much fun. for 9 dollars for the ultimate edition i couldn't be happier.
Even the next AC-EVO can't kill AC. Because people with low pcs were still enjoying original AC when AC2 is released, and also because when we can play AC2, anyway we still also playing original AC because we have an INSANE cars and tracks folders in our HHD's :)
It just get better every year. If Assetto Crosa Evo offers the same mod support, but better baseline, like support for bigger tracks, different weather and so on, right from the beginning, then it also has a great future.
I'm thinking of starting this game, but the main barrier for me is the lack of livery customization. As far as I can tell, there is no livery editor. I spend hours designing liveries and decorating my cars with them. I hope the version coming out in the next few months will have that feature.
I keep coming back to AC because of massive selection of tracks (SR3 Radical around Targa Florio is my fav) plenty of old school heal and toe action cars to choose from, inserting mods into the game in a breeze and the game starts up real fast!
Probably the same reason why the first rFactor outlived the launch of rFactor 2 for several years. Yes, I still have several rFactor 1 installations on my PC with several of the best mods for it.
Love the game for it's mechanics, I have just the G29 wheel and still feel like I'm on a real car without any fancy rig or whatever. After I learned to install the mods and car packs, I've never played NFS or Forza ever again. The loving mechanics with such a customizable environment and cars gives the petrolheads an unequal freedom to play however you want, either competitive, simulation or arcade, all with the sparks of a real car experience.
I hope this game will be cherished and improved for decades to come. I hate all these half baked games released these days with predatory micro transactions
I'm considering jumping into Assetto Corsa, but I'm only playing with an XBox 360 controller and about the most technical racing game I've played over the years is Grid Autosport and NFS Shift, but it is my preferred genre as opposed to something purely arcade like Ridge Racer and the more recent NFS titles. Would it be difficult for me to transition over to Assetto Corsa?
AC is my favourite game! It has the content quantity from rF1 with updated graphics and VR support. Not to mention the stunning sound mods people have created! If it had a realistic damage model it would be the perfect game
You forgot to mention that Assetto Corsa is the best F1 sim out there and simulates pretty much any season amazingly well. My channel has some vintage F1 year showcases.
first. its the cheapest sim racing game you can buy second, its the easiest to run among all the other racing games third. the modding community is just so big that the whole game revolves around it fourth, in modern-day AC, you don't need to have a wheel to enjoy the game. I play with a mouse and keyboard i enjoy the experience alongside with my friends that uses wheel or controllers. thanks to modders that made controls more better and customizable to your fitting.
Yes, all of this. I do get the impression that a few of the more... dedicated/obsessive (pick your choice!) sim racers genuinely can't understand why someone wouldn't drop four figures on sim racing. You even occasionally see people actively sneered at for using, say, a Logitech wheel instead of some high-end direct drive model. That's not helpful to people who just want to have fun and don't care if the tyre model is 0.04% off, who are interested and want a low-risk way of trying sim racing for the first time and/or who just don't have that kind of money. Right now AC Ultimate Edition is £10.99 in the Steam sale, at least here in the UK. You can buy that and have lots of fun without doing anything more, even if you have quite an old PC. Then if you do like it, the mods come by the bucketful. These days I'm mostly in the "just want to have fun" category myself and AC scratches that itch beautifully. (For context, I used to race a lot back in the GPL/GTL era, back when a Microsoft SWFF wheel for £65 was the thing for non-ultra-rich sim racers to have, but then drifted away from racing games for a while. It was largely AC that brought me back.)
The VR implementation is the reason I play it. It looks and runs better than ACC. The only competitor is ams2, which is an awesome game but has its weaknesses
Actually the only reason in recent years the game has gained such a popularity are mods, mods are keeping it alive There is literally mod for everything, Graphics mods make the game look much better than any game out there recently released. Tracks (Open World with traffic, racing tracks, drift tracks, drag.... you name it, you can find almost every track out there) Cars (Not only car mods, bikes, even effing shopping trolleys lol), infotainment systems that support RUclips, Maps, Spotify..... This game came closest to the real-life as it can get thanks to modders.
i can play the game but for some reason i cant stay on track in corners i dont have time to lern the brakeing so is there a way to play it like arcade racer if u could i would have more fun with it
What makes this game so much better than other games is that, it can be simple and very complicated if you want it that way. So, it can fit to everyone's' taste
fun fact :i bought this game (the full version with all the dlc's) with only 40 egp which equals to around 0.80 usd and my god it is the best game i've ever bought. im sim drifting in it and its absolute bonkers
Only got 184 hours, but I have a history in racing since as early as I can remember, currently 17 and can confidently say that this game on wheel has made me a better overall driver. Without the modding community, I would have never batted an eye at this game and I will be forever grateful for that.
I can confirm once you've played AC you don't ever want to play arcade racers. I tried Forza 4 and 5, several times each but it just doesn't feel right : even with gorgeous graphics and a decent story I'll never take a corner at 250 km/h without harm. I'd rather stay in Mario Kart. And that was only vanilla Assetto Corsa. Once you've tried Content Manager and mods it's a while new experience
for me other than modding its the physics theres a lot of videeos endlessly proving assetto is as close as it can be closed to real life in terms of handling physics

Downside is is that you will need a bit of know how to get these mods up and running and since Assetto is a Simulator, you might find playing with a controller a bit weird.
There are 2 types of Forza. Motorsport and Horizon/. Horizon is more game like or arcade like in terms of style and physics but has freeroam. Motorsport has realistic based physics and is circuit/track racer with no freeroam. So it depends on what platform you are on and how confident you are in your know how. Have a console? Buy both Forza Motorsport or Assetto and forza Horizon. Playing on a computer and confident you can set it up? Assetto corsa and forza Horizon.
@@omardarwish2728 Forza Motorsport is completely BS if you are going for competitive toxic community and bunch of cheaters , if you don't care about itv then it's decent ,
Nothing beats being able to put a car together (other games are way too limited on customization, yes that even goes for nfs and whatever else) and have several projects cars, or cars your just adding parts to or swapping wheels to in Ac; whether their drift cars for touge or drag cars or cruising because you want go ripping down the road.
1:18 tbh, a good career/story mode in a simracing game would be a dream...
Why GT7 doesn't have a story?
All online brother no single player love@@oosmanbeekawoo
Dont tell me u are still on 980 lol
@@filipivan5125 LOL, no, rocking a 7800X3D, 64 gigs of ram and a 4090 GPU, things hum along nicely now! :)
4:05 - wtf🙃I have never seen anything more realistic
What is this mod?
@@H7drothe track is shutoko revival project. im not sure about the graphics though, but its probably just a pp filter and good settings
Ive been obsessed with VR gaming for probably 3 years. Assetto Corsa with a wheel and shifter in VR is hands down the best gaming expeirence Ive ever had.
Only modding community Ive ever seen give Skyrim modding community a run for its money in terms of scale.
I just did it for the first time yesterday omg it’s amazing with all the mods and online stuff it’s incredible
@kitsunetsunami4923 welcome brother 😎
Ya i just got into vr and have
A wheel already . I just drove a laferrari through spa. God damn, it felt like a dream come true.
1000hrs of Assetto Corsa has ingrained advanced driving techniques into my brain. The reactions are second nature when I'm on track now.
Such a well-written script, I feel like taking you out on a brotherly date.
I'm presuming that you've had issues and are referring to your own experience as a newbie, and if you found a link, how about being constructive by posting instead of just disagreeing about the comment.
I get the feels, mate, I've been in similar situations, but if you struggled, then why expect everyone else to?
Please share the link or links if you have them - I for one would appreciate it greatly and it's just good karma ;)
After 2 weeks vacation I came home and hopped into AC in VR for the first time in a few months. I played literally all day, grinding down lap times on the Nordschleife Touristfahren (?) Here are my bests so far! I beat my previous best times by like 10 seconds, I was super happy.
ND Miata cup - 8:08 BTG, 8:32 full lap
Gt86 - 8:26 BTG
ND Miata - 8:27 BTG
It has introduced updated dirt / gravel physics that now make driving off-road / rally actually fun. Its no longer just a version of wet pavement but has actually made driving rally in AC super fun. They also further improved what I already believed to be one of the best sims re: FFB. Linear Color Space was the biggest of the new CSP feature improvements. Highly recommend installing the latest CSP and latest LCS compatible PURE. AC, thanks to Lija, Peter, and others just continues to rapidly improv & evolve.
Bought it to learn the nordschleife since i’ll have to lap there next week, let’s see how it goes
How did it go?
@@AlexxxGrrr it was really really cool. From the outside it looks scary, especially when the rain is pouring down. I did my lap with some rain and some fog so i took it very easy since we would have had to drive to sweden that same day! Overall an incredibile experience, since every turn has a blind exit you need to be familiar with the layout in order to know where to point the car. Thanks for asking :)
@@ashkandi1337 Nice, what do you drive?
@@AlexxxGrrr my friend’s toyota gt86. The first time i drove the car was during the previous night when we drove from milan to the track with no sleep
I have a very bad video of the lap if you’re curious ruclips.net/video/Y7cNw9TjHMs/видео.htmlsi=dzwcYfJnq6cqqlvb
Mods. Thread closed.

You are welcome, I think we have provided over a few hundred car mods throughout the years with Binary Motors!
Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.
Totally agree, and thanks for the video!
I have 60 odd hours right now in AC.
0:59 this bend is definitely a Nurbugring(dunno if spelt right lol) track
Also, in the last few month, the new forza motorsport helped a lot. Forza was so bad that many of us just ditched simcade to go full hands on deck into simulation and so assetto corsa it is
you are inspiring me and giving more tips to make my racing game I'm developing.
I think im going to get this game, my 1st racing game on pc. Thank you for your honest review/feedback and hard work on creating this video!
this is the only game/sim that respects my time and life, I don't have to grind yet racing and winning still feels rewarding even playing against AI. I can literally play any cars and tracks anytime right out of the gate.
Got this for a dollar right now, looking forward to modding it. Wheel is also arriving today!
Make sure you get the content manager. It's basically a replacement for the default UI, and it's so good you'll wish every racing game had a similar UI.
It just went on sale for $5 today and I'm gonna buy it when I get home. This video has got me hyped
Made a driving setup in a warehouse just to play with friends with LAN pc to pc. AC is great.
I picked this game during sale with dlcs for dirt cheap. Ran with some mods on my potato laptop. Works really well. For gamepad users, The Gamepad Assist mod is really useful.
Nice vid man.
Help me out bro, where did you get this clip 4:15 ? Looks amazing and i want to try that?
That's most likely the no hesi server with someones graphics settings including reshade. More than likely you will have to pay a little bit of money (1-2 dollars) for the graphics settings that the person is using. I know Bloob has some good graphical settings if you want to go check him out. It's mainly just called "dashcam reshade settings".
@toxicbtw4900 thanks mate, was his video indeed.
Content Manager was a game changer, along with the app modding, third party tracks, cars and weather additions.
Is this good on controller ?
@@54356776yes very good but you need to practise it and learn the track & car
its just amazing playing nordschleife 24/7 trying all the cars and mods
Even the next AC-EVO can't kill AC. Because people with low pcs were still enjoying original AC when AC2 is released, and also because when we can play AC2, anyway we still also playing original AC because we have an INSANE cars and tracks folders in our HHD's :)
I have them all. ACC gives me the biggest kick when racing online. Graphics, drivers, tracks and physics. Absolutely mind bending.
It just get better every year. If Assetto Crosa Evo offers the same mod support, but better baseline, like support for bigger tracks, different weather and so on, right from the beginning, then it also has a great future.
I really dislike the ui on pc not being able to select things with a controller. I am a casual racer but want easy to use menus
also the font size is crazy small
ok, 1st video from you, fell in love
Great Video I love this Game but your Beard is even nicer it looks absolutely fantastic
I'm thinking of starting this game, but the main barrier for me is the lack of livery customization. As far as I can tell, there is no livery editor. I spend hours designing liveries and decorating my cars with them. I hope the version coming out in the next few months will have that feature.
It won't come to CSP. But i just released an app for skin change and I'll be working on a global skin system later.
Me and my friends have a server made and its the most fun I've had in a racing game with the amount of track/car mods available
I started playing this game a couple days ago with mouse steering. Even though I completely suck, I’m getting better and it feels rewarding.
I grabbed my full package of AC and all DLC for $5 some 4 years ago.
Lets see if AC2 can live up to AC1.
I keep coming back to AC because of massive selection of tracks (SR3 Radical around Targa Florio is my fav) plenty of old school heal and toe action cars to choose from, inserting mods into the game in a breeze and the game starts up real fast!
During the steam summer sale right now it is all time low at $0.81 in south east asia reigon, anyone wants to buy can, the sale will end on 11 july!
Probably the same reason why the first rFactor outlived the launch of rFactor 2 for several years.
Yes, I still have several rFactor 1 installations on my PC with several of the best mods for it.
Just started “race weekend”….really fun but short, great for newbies .
Thanks for the video
Engine sound top
Driving mechanic top
Sense of speed top notch
Here Here, just got the Lamborghini Temerario and having fun after 8yrs with VR and Mods PC!!!
I'd be curious to see how/if the community changes with the release of Assetto Corsa Evo
I hope this game will be cherished and improved for decades to come. I hate all these half baked games released these days with predatory micro transactions
Anyone knoe the name of thag california/westcoast style canyon map?
I'm considering jumping into Assetto Corsa, but I'm only playing with an XBox 360 controller and about the most technical racing game I've played over the years is Grid Autosport and NFS Shift, but it is my preferred genre as opposed to something purely arcade like Ridge Racer and the more recent NFS titles. Would it be difficult for me to transition over to Assetto Corsa?
me downloading assetto corsa rn for the first time (it is at 20% in the span of 10 minutes which is shocking)
Assetto corsa is getting a sequel later this year actually, a true one, not a spin off like ACC was
AC is my favourite game!
Going pedal to the metal with bone stock Honda Accord '93 on Nordschleife is a blast!
cool vid bro
I just bought ACC comp on PS5 and it is a must have if you have GT7.
first. its the cheapest sim racing game you can buy
second, its the easiest to run among all the other racing games
third. the modding community is just so big that the whole game revolves around it
fourth, in modern-day AC, you don't need to have a wheel to enjoy the game.
My one issue with the game is that I can’t choose what car I want with servers it’s simply limited to what they allow I get why but it is a shame
Actually the only reason in recent years the game has gained such a popularity are mods, mods are keeping it alive
There is literally mod for everything,
Graphics mods make the game look much better than any game out there recently released.
Tracks (Open World with traffic, racing tracks, drift tracks, drag.... you name it, you can find almost every track out there)
Cars (Not only car mods, bikes, even effing shopping trolleys lol), infotainment systems that support RUclips, Maps, Spotify.....
This game came closest to the real-life as it can get thanks to modders.
What a mustache 😮 congratulations
It's A me… Mario 🥸
Ah yes, a video where I can learn about my addiction and feel good about it.
i can play the game but for some reason i cant stay on track in corners i dont have time to lern the brakeing so is there a way to play it like arcade racer if u could i would have more fun with it
As a person who recently drove a race car, the only thing that assetto corsa doesn't do perfectly is cars without abs. They lock too easily in ac
What makes this game so much better than other games is that, it can be simple and very complicated if you want it that way. So, it can fit to everyone's' taste
fun fact :i bought this game (the full version with all the dlc's) with only 40 egp which equals to around 0.80 usd
and my god it is the best game i've ever bought. im sim drifting in it and its absolute bonkers
Only got 184 hours, but I have a history in racing since as early as I can remember, currently 17 and can confidently say that this game on wheel has made me a better overall driver. Without the modding community, I would have never batted an eye at this game and I will be forever grateful for that.
Currently over 500 hours and I’m lowk a demon now behind the wheel
abandoned by dev? didnt they got other one last may 2019?
That's probably why the mods still work.
What is the best price-to-value wheel with clutch and manual shifter for this game?
I can confirm once you've played AC you don't ever want to play arcade racers.
I tried Forza 4 and 5, several times each but it just doesn't feel right : even with gorgeous graphics and a decent story I'll never take a corner at 250 km/h without harm. I'd rather stay in Mario Kart.
And that was only vanilla Assetto Corsa. Once you've tried Content Manager and mods it's a while new experience
Has it been taken off the Ps store? I bought it year ago. Wanted to replay it. It is not showing
What's the mod at 4:07? Thanks
for me other than modding its the physics theres a lot of videeos endlessly proving assetto is as close as it can be closed to real life in terms of handling physics
Ps4 player. I got it. Never have much time to play it much. Playable with the common control of the Console? Tks!
Mazda Cup on LFM is mint !
I'm play on Xbox ,I done the Abarth 500 Trofeo championship and now it locked ,any idea how continue championship?
