Milwaukee M12 pruner: www.homedepot....
love this thing! got one for my dad last year since his property has 100+ hydrangeas that have to be trimmed every spring and this is much easier on his arthritis.
Damn it, time time get into the DeWalt system You had me at "danger, danger, caution, danger".. I want one. 😎
The light's for the copper thieves 😄
One of those tools where accidents are not very likely, but when they do happen... it's final. No scratches, just clean cuts lol.
I'd be interested to see whether Dewalt or a competitor might eventually incorporate a Sawstop-like capacitive-touch safety feature in a tool like this - seems like a perfect application for that technology.
Nah, it needs grounding, therefore impossible on a handtool
It would become a $500 pruner. No one would buy it.
@@lukada83 interesting, but I'm not quite sure I understand the limitation - capacitive touch sensitivity obviously works on a smartphone screen - what would be the significant difference for a hand pruner blade?
@@skygreen5939@skygreen5939 i am talking about how saw stop works. There are for sure other options to implement this, but it would increase the complexity and as a result the cost o TVf the device. What about moisture? We all know how a wet screen behaves.
@@Paine137pretty much.
I just picked up the Craftsman version of this (identical).. it really works wrll..I was easily chopping 1" branches right away..
1:45.. if you're camping at night in the woods and need to go get kindling you'll need light...
Very nice 👍
You don't even notice the safety on it . You seem to be ripping through no problem
Great tool, looks powerful, nice to have around the house. I have a Bosch pruner pro, on the 12V platform, with a brushless motor, more compact and a capacity up to 25mm. On a 3Ah battery they specified approx 3000 cuts. This Dewalt is a different design, but I like it. Is important to oil the join, the bosch one has a little hole in the head of the screw for that.
One of my go-to landscaping and gambling debt collection tools 👍🏼
I thought the same thing Great but Dangerous, Just Purchased one, Thanks for the review..
I got one last fall. It has become on of my favorite tools.
I got the M12 Milwaukee one as I am already on that platform. Got it for $179 with a free battery on a daily deal. SO there are deals out there.
My buddy has the Milwaukee M12 pruner and it is remorseless. That thing will loop off anything put in front of it. Danger, danger, warning, caution…. But I want this DeWalt.
I have the Ryobi PVC cutter. Very similar setup, though much slower action. Still have the same thoughts every time I go to use it, this thing is nuts.
I use the M12 pruner with a 2.5ah HO battery, I can't live without it. It does give me anxiety every time I have to hold a branch and make a cut. I torture tested it with various hard large branches that require multiple bites of the blade, it gets through eventually. I just received the M18 pole pruner too.
I LOVE my DeWalt pruner (DCPR320B)… it is so handy and easy to use. Just don’t stick any body parts between the jaws if you like them attached to your body where the Good Lord placed them.
Just had one delivered about 2 weeks ago. It could take off a thumb in a trigger squeeze with zero issue.
Great tool for $89 , best value as you use it once a year no point buying something fancy
That thing is cool
Danger Will Robinson, this is the next toy on my shopping list but it will be a blemished Ryobi version from Direct Tools. Until then a Skil recip does the trick.
🇬🇧 Hi Doc. I saw an advert on TV for a very similar Rybi device last night and thought how dangerous is that?
Obviously if you are careful with one they are fine just keep you fingers out of the way 😳 That one appears to work very well indeed.
Scary thing indeed.
Makita also has as similar one that is a lot smaller. Not sure if it lacks power compared to this DeWalt one.
It looks less dangerous than the cute mini chainsaw that my wife wants.

@@lastbesttool You make it look like it's easy to control but you aren't a 64 year old woman with arthritis in her hands!
How about that large M18 shear?
What are your favorite hand pruners?
I’m 100% convinced that this type of tool will be banned within the decade. So sure that I bought a backup for my backup…
The Stanley V20 (Craftsman V20 in the States) version is identical. Same internal parts numbers. It’s cheaper over here in New Zealand. Have had one for a couple of years now, love the tool. Terrified of it too, definitely a “gears before beers” unit.
You can't tape the safety down, it has a timer on it....
That’s perfect for the cartels.
Oh, for crying out loud. Stop with the stupid reading of the safety instructions. I’ve been using tools for over 60 years and I can say that almost every tool is dangerous, especially for stupid people who refuse to read the manual. So, yes, the government here and pretty much everywhere requires these safety notices. It’s nothing new. Read the freaking manual and don’t do something stupid, such as holding a branch right near where you cut. Hard as though it may be to believe, people cut fingers off using long loppers!
