I don't understand why Bareminerals doesn't get more recognition among the beauty community, including RUclips. It is such an iconic brand, not to mention that is free from talc and parabens which is better for the skin. Thanks for recommending the brand, you are one of the few RUclipsrs who still mentions it

At 64 years old, thanks to you, I've re-discovered BM by purchasing the starter kit and a gorgeous pink blush (Floret). I have been using Well-Rested for years and years. It's my HG to use as a base for my eye makeup. I love it so much that I'm on auto-delivery. But I was always a bit neurotic about the powder foundation until I saw how you apply. Happy to say that with the lightest touch, my old lady skin is looking rather fetch. Thanks for rekindling my interest. I'm also so in love with the Laura Mercier Caviar sticks that I saw you use! So...many thanks! (ps My blog followers and IG followers are also thankful)!

Thank God the loose products don’t expire. I used to wear BM back in the early 2000’s and I bought so much makeup! I need to dig it all back out!! 😆

I still use my bare minerals liner shadows that I bought back in 2004 - 2005. The pigmentation is amazing and they last all day unlike a lot of products on the market these days. I went back to using the original foundation a few months ago after years of being frustrated over liquid foundations. Powder is just so much better.
Thank you for your videos, especially the ones about Bare Minerals. I’ve had the original foundation powder, and bronzing mineral veil in my stash for years. I gave up on trying to get it to look right on me. I’ve used it a few more times now that I’ve watched your videos with great success. Also, good to know that the loose powders don’t expire!

I love bare minerals for so many reasons. They have the best color match for me (golden fair) and I’ve recently renewed my love for the foundation over my current sunblock. The sunblock is a glowy kind and liquid foundation just wouldn’t work well on top but bare minerals is so beautiful on top.

I just finished my container of warmth (this past year), from their starter kit from 2007. Stuff lasts forever.
I still have my original warmth too from goodness, early 2000's. Warmth oxidizes on me so I never wear it. I use True and Glee. I LOVE Soft Focus Glee but that was discontinued years ago. I still have just a little bit left from a monster sized QVC jar. Still remember my first. Bare Minerals eye shadow, Queen Tiffany, gorgeous color!! Oh and it took me 5 years of almost daily wear to use up a monster sized jar of soft focus True. That stuff lasts forever!!
Yay new bareMinerals content! I’ve tried tons of foundations and always go back to the original powder no matter what. I also love the complexion rescue defense for sun screen and add a little bronzer to it for no foundation days.

I’ve had some of my bare minerals foundation loose powders for years. Good to know they won’t expire!
I was wearing Bare Minerals back in 2005-2006 or so. I bought it off of QVC back then, because there were no boutiques in my area. (I think they maybe only had them in SF and maybe NYC at that time?) I amassed quite a few different shades of shadow and blush, but they were really great products!
Anyway, I haven’t used the original foundation in a LONG time, but I might need to grab some to try again. I loved a shade of blush called “hint of truth” that was a mix of the two. I currently use the Bare Minerals pressed bronzer and love it. Thanks for the trip down memory lane, Shelby! 😉😉

I pulled up this video because I’m going through all my old Bareminerals. I use liquid foundation now…it just suits me better for what I need. But….Do you find the loose bronzer and blush go on more easily and blend so naturally compared to those in a compact? Not streaky or clingy, but just blurring because with a looser brush it gets so evenly distributed and melts into skin. I really think I’m going back to using my old school warmth and hint blush!! I also have clear radiance that they don’t make anymore and I love it. It all goes on so softly. Weird how we get away from makeup we love to try other things, but I’ve gotten so many compliments about how good I look. I have combination, textured skin. 62 yrs old and this is so natural and pretty on my skin, and lasts all day. So glad to have your videos to pull up, give that little boy a 😘. Thanks for being here.
I'm so glad to have found someone demonstrating how to properly use power products. I have oily/combo skin and I have been back and forth with powder foundation because of the frustration of not getting enough coverage with the application. Thank you!

Love this! I bought my first kit of Bare Minerals from QVC when Leslie Blodget (?) did the presentations. I even had the Buzz lipgloss stick that you could dip in warmth or glee and use it like lipstick. Simpler times. Good times.

Hi, before Baremineral, I only knew “sheer coverage” from their informercial tv ad. Then Baremineral became available inside my local Macy’s. I remembered purchasing my 1st kit after getting color match from the ladies. The swirl, tap and buff was the fun part of all. That all happened 13 years ago and I still love baremineral makeup always. Thanks for sharing this video.

Giiirlll i was just playing around in my makeup last night and found this little bareminerals sample that my moms friend got me for my birthday. I haven’t used it because it wasn’t my shade and I didn’t have good enough skin to get away with it. But NOW my skins improved, I’m a bit tanner and the way it lays on my skin is just a dream. Powder foundation is so slept on and under developed. I hope it has its chance to shine

Super happy that you did this. I repurchased the bareMinerals Original foundation a couple of months ago, and hadn’t used it for sooo many years. I forgot how fabulous it is. It’s honestly still around for a good reason! But yes, looking at you one would never guess that you had used all powder products.

Bare Minerals is great for us guys too....it looks like I am not wearing makeup and looks very natural on me. The trick is to buff buff buff....the Well-Rested powder for under the eyes is a game-changer!!

I tried well rested over Becca under eye corrector and it blew my mind! I’ve previously tried it to set concealer and hated how heavy it looked, didn’t wear really well either. Think the application makes all the difference, used your method with a larger tapered brush and just a small amount really worked into the bristles and these results are amazing!
I just purchased BM Original loose mineral powder after not using it for years. I am 56, and was nervous about it looking bad on my aging skin. I prepped my skin with my favorite hyaluronic emulsion and Benefit poreless primer. To say I disliked the application is an understatement, however, I had to roll with it because I was going to work.
I feel like it was the prep that doomed me. The powder looked extremely pearlescent and it was very hard to blend and cover some pores on my nose. It took quite a bit of work to smooth it all out, especially under and around my mouth. I was bummed.

I am not giving up just yet. Will need to find a skin prep routine that's different if it's going to work though.
In the past BM Original was my go-to to even out my skin tone in just a few swipes. Especially in the summertime. Which I live in year round here in FL. I was hoping for that similar experience and EASE. Working harder to look presentable at my age is becoming a bit of a challenge. Even with less-is-more.

When I was going through hot flashes, this was the only foundation that would stay on all day and not melt off. People would always comment how flawless it looked-little did they know what was going on in my life. I still buy there products- eye shadows, blushes, lipsticks, great mascara , and some wonderful brushes.

I just love their original powder foundation! That’s all I use as foundation. I hope they never stop making it. I have big jars of them that I bought a while ago, and they definitely do not expire!
I have a hard time with the original powder foundation most of the time, maybe due to combo skin,so I usually use the Complexion Rescue and will sometimes use my original foundation as a spot concealer afterward, and follow with the well rested under my eyes. Makes such a difference in my undereye color.
Every time I want to fall in love with bare minerals again I watch your videos and I’m hooked! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I LOVE the Bare Minerals Faux Tan liquid bronzer. Very fool proof even if your not used to liquid/cream products like that. It’s a similar shade to the drunk elephant d-bronzi stuff I have a travel size of that and they look so similar when I put either on before or without foundation.
