Best lessons on the web for songs. Mixing in the theory above the fretboard makes it so much better than anything else. Thanks for making me excited to play over the years!
@@sc3ku to hear that it inspires you and brings some new excitement to your playing is such great feedback. Thank you for you comment! Happy playing :D
Well I got to say, when I learn a song I start out by just listening till I feel like there are no more surprises. Then I check out no less than 5 lessons and take the best of each that fits with what I'm hearing and feeling. That said, this is beyond useful. Thank you, so much. You have raised the bar for You Tube lessons. No you shattered the bar.
I'm learning little wing on my own, and this video is the best among all RUclips videos. I think it should be chosen by the algorithm. From Korean subscribers. thx
I've taken Gary's fretboard mastery program. And he has such an amazing way of teaching and helping things to stick. If you want to learn more about music theory and how it all comes together I highly reccomend taking his courses. There's a little something for everyone regardless of your skill level. I plan on taking his course again now that I've progressed. Thank you Gary!!
Thanks for doing this! I feel like I've learned ten different things at once. The most interesting part being how well Jimi knew his instrument. That just should just end any debate on whether he knew theory or not. He mastered his instrument, he was perfectly aware of everything that was going on musically. He could hear with his fingers, he really was a genius.
Quel travail monstre ! J'ai rarement vu une précision pareille. Au lieu de placer des points noirs sur le manche tu mets les notes et c'est bien bien plus intéressant et utile ! Respect ! Merci
Gary , I’ll have to study with you soon. I know it takes hours and hours to make any video so I appreciate your work . Now that I’ve found you I’ll finish up my other classes . Maybe start with soloing course .
Nice guitar effect that sounds so full throughout a room and nice work keeping the melody pleasing as well as emotive to the ear! As a guitarist for bk trailers looking for inspiration, your performance here is great since you sound so heartfelt while skillfully keeping time. And your background info about your cover is useful, plus its great to hear Jimi's work live on during these days.
Damn I'm loving these animates fretboard vids just like your pentatonic scale exercises. Thank you so much for everything and I'll make sure to check your website and patreon.
Hi Gary, great transcription but would you consider making a video suited for left-handed players? And ideally shooting the live video from the player's POV so it matches the tab and fretboard animations (ie. high e string on top). I'd buy the lesson but I can't quite wrap my brain around it, even after decades of trying with these righty perspectives. Thanks.
Hey Gary, I'm considering joining the patreon. Should I wait until the 1st May to subscribe in order to get a full month or can I subscribe now? thanks
WTF! Awesome! Savage! I just discovered this amazing Chanel and hope all enjoying will follow me to Patreon to sponsor this artist. Nice comments are great from him to receive, but it would be better to couple that with action in the form of kicking in to keep the quality content that we enjoy coming.
Awesomeness 🤘 And is it ok if a tear was shed listening while u jammed 😅. This tune brings up so many enotions Thank u for this man ✊️🎸awesome lesson kick azz channel , subd !
wow! I really appreciate that! For me too....I remember when I first kissed the girl I first loved, I was on cloud nine, listening to Hendrix on a walkman in a park!
Pow, you are the best man. This FRETLIVE help me alot as selftaught guitarist who still learning 😭 Im sorry cant help you from patreon cz i dont have CC, i only can help you from ads with not skip it Do you mind to transcribe Mateus Asato - Dont dream its over ? Thanks pow 🙏
watching the solo transcribtion i have noted that, among the other notes, for instance over Am chord he play g,a,b t not belonging to the chord. is it for follow the melody? is it possible to technically understand the notes to choose to follow the melody ?
@PowMusic At the 0:09 mark the visual tab is wrong. You play b3-b7 with a hammer on the R. The visual indicates b7-4th with 5th. Thank you so much for helping average Joes like me learn iconic pieces.
If you dont mind letting me know, how long have you been playing? how many hours a day and how experienced should i be for a song like this? thnks for your help i only wish i could afford the patreon stuff!
Hi there! I started playing when I was in elementary school, but by the time I graduated high school I was only playing basic riffs and power chord grunge rock. I started practicing intensely in my early twenties. I'm 39 now. I worked on this song every day for a couple of months before making this video! I learned the most by joining cover bands and playing various songs live...that forces you to really get things together because you have bandmates and an audience that you want to make happy! :D
I managed to learn the intro in about half an hour this morning. But damn the rest of the song has so much going on.. gunna be a few days i think.. can do the solo and intro so its just.. the rest 😂😂 and i dont have shovels for hands like Jimi.
fretLIVE and RUclips's playback speed control are a match made in heaven! Try it out!! :D

Those scale animations give so much insight just by themselves, that's fascinating
That tab system has to be the best ever in RUclips. Astounding. Finally I feel able to understand Jimi’s. fingerings.
I totally agree...
I've never heard anyone get Jimi's tone and feel so perfectly.
Thank you Kevin! 🙏
Its true
This guitarist is flawless and brilliant --the flashing notes are an immense & invaluable help --thankyou!

Your lessons are easily the greatest on RUclips , especially for an advanced guitarist , it's a pleasure to watch 👍
thank you brother
I agree. For when you are coming out of intermediate this kind of material is just perfect
Your videos are my favorite format for learning the guitar. I matches up perfectly with how I think about playing. Thank you!
Love that your able to see the fingers on the fretboard
Love the presentation with the close up of the hands and the tabs next to each other, and the way the tabs light up in real time. Great job.
Yeah the editing just the way this vid is put together is on point

THIS IS FUCKING AMAZING
Perfect
is that a chorus pedal???if so wich one?
What effects are used here? Sounds so good
A vibe pedal which is sort of like a mix of phaser/chorus, and some reverb :)
@@PowMusic appreciate the response! Might need to find a good vibe pedal now.
is it just me ? or is the tab neck the wrong way .. ? dont tell me its coz . jimi played upside down
this make me the earlove
Well she's watchin through the clouds...

You work hard
Just in case no one has told you yet
🙏🎸
The two dead strokes at the beginning are actually both down strokes, not a down and up.
what is eembalisment and trill ??
How is your instrument so steady?😄😄😄
Where do the lyrics begin ?--would be helpful --outs it all in context !
that's a good point...maybe I'll reupload with lyrics!
