    So I dunno if you have noticed but I have been watching your channel for a long time now and this video has left me with a question.
    You have shown over and over that over time creeks and rivers get deeper change course etc.
    One thing that remains consistent is the bedrock on the bottom. In your vids we have seen it corrode, we seen it get big boil holes in it and we have even seen it found not even in the creek.
    So here it is, how does bedrock actually stay at the bottom while the creeks on the move? Is there multiple layers in the ground and IT corrodes and breaks down over time to expose the next layer, or do floods just move it about and deposit it further down stream and compact it back together? Or is there some other process happening that I haven't thought of?

    • @VoGusProspecting
      @VoGusProspecting  2 года назад +11

      Ok here's the answer as far as I understand it.
      BED ROCK (this is different to what you're talking about) is rock that does not move off the bed of the stream. That is the tock that grinds and destroys the bedrock.
      Depending on the geology you can have different layers of bed rock under each other. So to answer that part of your question, yes. It could be in layers.
      The BED ROCK breaks apart the bedrock and creates float. Float is bedrock chunks that break off the host in place and over time this is worn down into the river gravel you see in the creek.
      Hope that helps.

    • @VoGusProspecting
      @VoGusProspecting  2 года назад +4

      You're going to feel fear wether you go or not. Some of the best things you'll ever do are just behind that fear.
      Go, be anxious the whole time, when you get home you'll realise you didn't die and you had a little fun. Makes next time that little bit easier.
