Dan, Thank you for all the demo's on different recovery tools. Im sure you've saved people thousands of hours deciding what and how to use the appropriate method.
A tie? Hee hee hee! It was still worth waiting for, Dan! It looks really awesome under the microscope, too. It is beautiful to see gold in its pristine condition, rather than water worn. Although it doesn't matter what it looks like, as long as it adds up! As I commented on Jason's video yesterday, I loved learning about the mechanics of dry washing. Amazingly great at separating heavies from the rest with no water needed. Then, you compared both of the dry washers to each other. Same principle; physical versus mechanical, really. I've watched the outback gold series and some use dry blowers. However, due to its huge scale, it is hard to explain the process in greater detail like this. Thank you so much for your explanation and adventure! Thanks to Harry, Ron, and your competition, Jason! 😉 I'm glad it was a tie and didn't get our countries into a war over whose gold is the biggest 🤣🤔🧐🤣 Have a beautiful and happy New Year 🎊 Blessings from Alabama ❤️ P. S. About 12 minutes in, you showed a close up of the pan. It looked like a bunch of tiny crystals in it. There was one clear crystal in the center of the pan which looked like a diamond to me. Was it my imagination, or can it be possible to find diamonds in the desert??
14:13 Don’t hurt the dirt, hurt the dirty baby! So great to see you back up with the magnificent beard again Dan! Been watching since before your heart surgery but have been so buddy with work I’m finally getting a chance to catch back up on the videos I’ve missed! Take care and I hope you and your family have a wonderful 2024!
Ok Dan, don't ya love how "crisp" this desert gold looks, totally different than Fraser River Flakes...loving the look! You all enjoy the New Year & see that shiny soon! ⚒️💪🤙🚌🤠
Dan I met Chris, Melissa and Logan robak, yesterday 12-30-23, I sent with him a large piece of obsidian from the rainbow pit on glass butte oregon, I hope it's beautiful on the inside, he said he would show you in Arizona, lol I also applied for a job with his company in Canada!!!! Next spring...maybe!!!!
Happy New Year Dan🎉 I already watched Jason’s episode and I love watching you and Jason working together. I had to watch your video to see who won the competition.
I’m from the area. These guys run their machines so hot and steep. The scheelite is a pain to deal with. It does light up nicely under blackight. Nice to see Dan in our neck of the woods.
My family has claims in South Pass Wyoming. For some reason we just kinda stopped going. I think you have just reignited the spark and I may have to plan a trip this summer 😎
Best wishes toward the New Year Dan, thanks for all the entertainment in 2023, looking forward to more in 2024. Take care and stay safe. ⛏⚒⛏ Howdy from southwestern Oregon! ..... But please, remember not feed the Geo's.😜😉😂😂 Heavy pans to Ya!
Good to see you getting out to see our friendly americans..im actually down in Vegas right now, heading down to Phoenix and Yuma area, gonna try some metal detecting throughout the winter...if you know of a place out here that pays in nuggets id love to hear from you..Thanks for the vids Dan!!
Next time head to Coolgardie Camp about 60 minutes East of where you filmed. You would have found much better gold than the Randsburg/Johannesburg areas.
Happy New Year. Thanks for the great content every week. Without classification there's no concentration.....that Harry says many smart things ;] Cheers
💛 I LOVE IT 💛 All you mining guys are THE BEST🌟 I once got to witness a fellow prospector's antique, wooden drywasher in action - it was an exquisite piece of equipment. And his collection of nuggets and pickers was awe-inspiring 😊
This is really cool. I've never thought of this concept of air and vibration sluice action. I feel like all those guys should have respirators on though. Silicosis is a real thing
That's the thing when u watch all these guys and they post the same thing. Seen this videos from them. Yes it is different but about the same stuff so now will watch Dan first before others I just didn't know the other guys put there video out before Dan does.
Hey Dan, great collab video. Are you going to add to your collection of Highbankers and get a DRYbanker? lol. Greetings from sunny Perth, West Australia. 33°C here today. Cheers, Frank.
I would not have the hose clamp on that mad mountain dry washer had already fixed it to death. It started shaking mine apart, and then the bearing went out in my shaker motor and I had to get a new motor. I got a variable speed one and you can adjust the weights. It works so much better and doesn’t shake the thing to pieces. I’ve had to do so much work putting it back together from the original motor, if you run yours a lot, it’s gonna shake the rivets right out of the machine. That’s what it did to mine now that I got this new motor and it’s variable speed. The weights are adjustable. I have the weights at 80%. I’ll tell you what it works way better than the original motor.
I haven't done dry washing yet, but A lot of people in my club do it. I bring my highbanker out to the desert and it works just fine. From what I hear H Bankers are not allowed in the streams of Calif just because of the motors on the bilge pump. @Danhurd your thoughts on drywashing over all. Happy New Years
Been watching…. I have found gold here and there North of LA but never spent time to collect. Now I need the outdoors and exercise so here I go again. Going to search down hill from old gold mines, just for fun 😅 Getting out my books and maps ❤
Dan, when gold is rounded by water action is this the gold being abraded and smaller particles are being ground off the edges, or is it being hammered into more rounded shapes by water and rocks due to the malleable nature of gold?
These videos with everyone are what i love. You guys are some of my favorite people.
Dan your channel is so fun and lively. You are a great example to the gem industry. Thank you.
My brother and I went panning for the first time. Thanks for the inspiration Dan!
You are welcome, hope you found some!
2 specks 😂 and lots of black sand. But we had fun. And will try another spot next time. Thanks again.
@@garretthartle4509 That's a lot more gold than any of us who haven't tried panning have ever found!

Very educational. I didn't know drywashing, was a thing 👍 great video man, nice to see.
Saw some lake county diamond crystals in your pan. I used to sell qts of moon tears when I lived in Cobb CA.
Love your show.
I’m from the area. These guys run their machines so hot and steep. The scheelite is a pain to deal with. It does light up nicely under blackight.

Dan, this is really cool. I learned something new today.
Great video!😎
As an Australian knowing full well how they used the dry paning in the rush days, Good to see a type of evolution to 2023
Looks warm for winter. hope you get the gold.

You can sure tell the fines are right out of the quartz.

4:17 build a treadmill and make it dog powered. Lol
Obligatory geo- pun... That looks like some good schist.
Puns are always good for Schists and Giggles.
Very interesting. I never knew dry washing was a thing. Thanks for sharing.
Happy New Year to you and yours Dan, cheers!!
Gotta love all the RUclipsrs stand to attention when they here a video intro starting...

Or Cocci
You would love the Fort Irwin Claymore range. An old stream bed is loaded right next to it.
Awesome! Happy New year!
Looks like a great time
Scale up and dig that area up brother
Sheeleite from the Swedish chemist von Scheele who discovered it. Also known as Tungsten, literally "heavy stone" in Swedish.
Would be nice to get out to places like that during fairly heavy rains, when the washes have water flowing. Run a river sluice.
That's the thing when u watch all these guys and they post the same thing. Seen this videos from them. Yes it is different but about the same stuff so now will watch Dan first before others I just didn't know the other guys put there video out before Dan does.
Let's find some gold!!!
Yes, lets do it!
Good afternoon from Southeast South Dakota
Maybe you should mine for Scheelite?
very nice looking stuff!
With all that gold I hope someone else is buying the beer. 😂
top show Dan!
I just noticed your using a plastic container for the tailings.
My buddy had a claim in Mojave, a old waterfall and found 105 ounces in the size of a swimming pool 30 feet down. Largest 5 oz quartz gold nugget!!!
I hate to say it, but you needed more of Ginger. Dogs are awesome.
That tungsten ore is cool. Love me some tungsten.
happy new year to you and yours
Чтобы пыль не глотать, сделай составные сита, как детские качели-качалка с крышкой. И не надо электромотора. И пыль не летит по ветру.
Hey Dan, great collab video. Are you going to add to your collection of Highbankers and get a DRYbanker? lol. Greetings from sunny Perth, West Australia. 33°C here today. Cheers, Frank.
Good work in Australia you would do that under lights..To Hot here.. well done .happy new year❤😊
You guys must be in the Randsburg/Atolia area with so much sheelite... 😎👍
I'm surprised that you didn't just dry pan. I've dry panned before, it's a lot of arm work, but gets the job done.
I would not have the hose clamp on that mad mountain dry washer had already fixed it to death.
