I know this is 2 years old but after watching 3 other videos THIS IS THE ONLY ONE THAT WORKED ! thanks a million 👍👍👍

You and a few other RUclipsrs who helped with this issue are life savers. At first these instructions didn't work for me but after I soft reset my Xbox it works perfectly. I knew something was wrong because my old Xbox was not connected and would not connect to the app. Which led me to the idea of doing a soft reset of the system
I wonder if I need to do that, cause my gf and I have our profiles set to home to each others consoles as laid out in this vid, but still we get kicked out of a game if we try to play at same time.
Also, do you mean soft reset as in restarting console, rebooting?
Setting- system- console info-reset console- reset and keep my games and apps.
Oh make sure both of your Xboxs are connected to the Xbox App. That's what also led me to do the soft reset.

Just Tried it. Gave my First Gen Xbox to My Dad so he could enjoy campaigns and I could enjoy multiplayer On New Gen Kept Getting Kicked . Came across this and worked like a charm. Thanks!

@beerbellysports1194 oh no doubt. I'm sure it's something on my end! I'm trying to use two xboxes in the same house. Maybe I need a second gamepass acct. Your video is the best one out there. Easiest to understand. Reiterates the crucial points. I've watched them all lol! Once or twice a year I give it another shot because I either want to play a game while my kids want something else or each of them wants a different game so I give it another go.

Man you're a savior... I tried figuring it out for months Now i can gameshare with my sister and friends either up to 4 players split screen which i need 2 controllers for both xboxes or 2 across 2 consoles which split screen is not supported... Thanks so much for the help

So this will work for say nba 2k22 in play now mode or black top where there is only split screen available? How are you making sure the 2 users are looking at the same screen like a screen share?

Bro thank you I was not trying to pay Xbox live for both Xbox’s for the game. I was confused at first but make sure you sign out of Other account for both Xbox or it won’t let you play the same game at the same time.
I tried that but when my girlfriend tries to play the same game while signed out of my account it says the person who bought the game needs to be signed in smh

Person 1 buys DIGITAL game. Person 2 sets his console to yours to download game. After download, you set your home console to person 2.
Person 2 loads the game FIRST then person 1 loads theirs SECOND

So once we've both switched homes we have to log off of theirs

You can only do this if you have digital copies. Download the digital copy on both systems. You need 2 game disc to play coop on your own individual screens.
