Eh, I can't even think of one fashion designer who was well-dressed all the time except maybe for Tom Ford. You don't have to be gorgeous yourself to be have creative and gorgeous ideas. Plus, his personal style was eccentric and intentionally outrageous so it was automatically gonna have polarized reactions.

I don't think you realize the cultural impact this man had , he literally was making decisions at vouge which at the time of Vreeland , Mirabella and Wintour at their height decided the fashion direction of billions of dollars in jobs , consumer spending and industries . This man was very relevant and his impact will still be remembered until today .
