I never wanted the texture updates. I just wanted the original game to render at 4k and with modestly improved draw distances on the new console hardware. I rarely have an interest in altering the actual original artistry of a classic game. "Definitive Edition" should mean just letting the original work run at its best on modern hardware NOT rebuilding it from the ground up.
