Thank you!! This hobby would t be near as fun without them!! Through our channel we hope to inspire other kids and families to get into this wonderful hobby!!
Pretty cool that they sell this plane without any paint or markings - since I like to custom paint my planes that was an instant SALE for me !!! Beautiful paint job !! LOVE it that you have your adorable girls so involved and enthusiastic - you probably created three aviation maniacs.
Thanks you!! It was so awesome to see they created a blank one!!! I look forward to seeing everyone’s work as people paint them!!! I really hope that they keep with aviation as they get older, we shall see!!
I thought about that, but since I had to mains I figured it would be less paint damage to land as I did. It’s all about not having to mess up the paint 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Congratulations! This plane files great. I thought try to pull a positive G when dropping the gear to get the three greens…..sometimes this helps. Thanks for sharing your experiences and advice. Beautiful scale modeI, fantastic finish.
Nice looking plane - excellent job with the painting - nicely filmed, looks beautiful in the sky - I was figuring it would be a bit less risky to pull the gear up, flair as much as possible while landing on the grass, perhaps save the props and nose - regardless, no harm done - great job! Thanks for posting.
Take the battery tray out and place 10mm spacers underneath it. You will need longer screws to re-install it. The nose gear hits it when retracting and does NOT complete the up cycle therefore will not come down.
I have this model too and i'll point out that every single time on the first gear cycling my nose gear does not come down. I cycle it 2-3 times before flying. I do that with most of my models with retracts. Also I do a "gear pass" before landing unless I can clearly confirm that all three are down.
Great video! Have the same problem with the poor connection on the wing panels. Will try your method first and determine if that works for me. No excuse from HK on this issue, a disappointed on a $400 plane!
It looks like you must have painted it and if so the tail moment is so long that I don't doubt that that extra weight back there caused the CG issue. I am having the same issue with my AL-37 where it is the nose that is very long and my paint job is also causing a CG issue but in my case it is a too far forward CofG.
@@thercjetjock6571 Myself and others are actually having to move the CG aft of the stock location to get rid of excessive "Up" trim in the elevator after a flight. I have seen one such example where the best flight CG is up to an inch aft of stock. A little scary. My BUSA 1/4 scale WW1 warbirds are the same way and fly really well at an inch behind stock. I will be getting back to the AL-37 soon to start this scary process. Hopefully I won't need to go back an inch.
Really looks nice, Shame about that rudder & nose gear! I will pay particular attention to those areas when I put power to mine? (Those flap servos will be a bear if they ever need replacing) But Kudos on that finish, as it's the best I've seen so far! Doesn't even look like a "foamie" anymore? Edit: Also thanks for the workaround on the wing panels, as I also noticed that they need to be shaved a bit?
Thank you!! Yes all the issues were unfortunate but in the end I’m happy with it. You are very welcome, im surprised that made it past QC with the plane entered production.
I had absolutely no problem getting the correct forward CG on mine using a 4000mah battery and could have pushed the battery even forward more!! Absolutely NO additional weight added!!
They still may not be making good contact, I’d try sanding down till you don’t need pliers to snap them in. And yes I was plugging power into the Batt/Bind port.
Nice looking plane in the air but on the ground the landing gear look cheap (proved true in the video) and it's obvious that the canopy is not a good fit and it totally doesn't match the color of the fuselage. After watching the assembly and all the trimming and sanding you had to do just to get things to work, Hobbyking needs to rethink this disaster of a plane.
Your observations are very true. The color match is on me, I did a custom paint scheme and just haven’t gotten to it yet. However the canopy is slightly larger than the fuselage so it’s not a perfect fit. Ive got new gear on the way. It may not be worth it to everyone to do these mods but having flown the real plane for years it’s a must!!!
I had to add 3 full ounces of tire weights to my Eflite P47. Sometimes you just have to. It’s weird. But I’ll tell you what, it’s a joy to fly now that it’s CG’ed right.
Lol, it’s been every repaint for me!! I discovered that after my first repaint. Ironically it was a P47 as well. It was really heavy and I barely got it back. So yes I absolutely agree a good CGed aircraft flys amazing 🤣🤣🤣
Wow, gorgeous plane flying and shining in the sun!
Thanks buddy!!!
Beautiful airplane! It’s cool you include the girls too! All the best!

Very nice flights and information. The commentary from the co-pilots is especially appreciated. Russ NC
Thank you!! 😊
Great flying and landing of your beautiful King Air Jet Jock after your tweek with the nose gear! Congratulations sir! 😃🛩️
Thank you!!
Great job my friend. Loved that landing without front wheel. Oh yeah. Big salute from Slovenia, Pilot Robert
Thank you Pilot Robert!!! The girls and I really enjoy watching your channel!!!
Great flight just received mines can't wait too fly it,thanks for all the advice on this plane..
Thank you, glad we could help!!!
Nice flight! Awsome paint. I would have bellylanded on the grass myself but it worked out well anyway. :D
I thought about that, but since I had to mains I figured it would be less paint damage to land as I did. It’s all about not having to mess up the paint 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Great job on the re-paint and some nice flying and good pointers for all. Thanks for sharing and appreciate the work you put in 👍🏻
Thank you for the kind words!!!
Looks amazing!! Great flying, and maiden!!Love this plane, thanks for sharing 👊🏼👊🏼
Thanks buddy!!
Great video!
Thank you!!

Thank you!! Yeah good point, should have tried that. Hopefully thought there won’t be a next time 😉
very nice flying i liked the low passes and yes it needs better Retracts . im looking forward to flying mine
Thank you!! I love low passes too, actually addicted to them lol!!! The retracts are ok the struts are cheesy. It’s a great flyer you will love it!!
ME 262 Retracts from Freewing are almost a direct drop in. You will need to rotate the mains 90 degrees though. Same lengths and much better retracts.
Great advice, I’ll move that direction if I decide to keep the plane!!

Thank you!!! I considered that, but I had bad luck ditching out there

Luckily for mine it was just excess foam interfering with extension. They problem you are experiencing seems extremely frustrating.

Thank you!! Unfortunately I feel like $400 is the new $250 😔
I love that plane.
Just curious, why are buildings that are clearly visible to the public, pixelated in the video?
Thanks!! It was an agreement with the land owner.

Had been the case for every repaint we’ve done so far!!

You needed to take about 1 mm of foam off from one side or the other to get that wing panel to clip in right. Avios could fix their moulds for this!!
It’s amazing that they released this plane with that issue isn’t it?

I believe the only reason I had to add weight was because of the paint job. Every paint job has consistently moved my CG aft.
a lot of work but she turned out beautiful
Thank you!!
@@thercjetjock6571 A TCAF pilot just got one and really loves it
It’s truly a wonderful plane!! I hope my big one flies as good
Hey! What's going on with this dog? Hasn't drunk its coffee?
Lol!! She thinks she’s a lap dog for some odd reason. 🤣🤣🤣
My ailerons don’t work. No instructions on the esc hook up. Looks cool tho.
Did you shave the wings down like I did in the video. If those plugs aren’t making a solid connection your ailerons won’t work.
@@thercjetjock6571 I was just able to click them using a pair of needle nose. Where you plugging in the power lead? To the bind port?
My props are all whacked out of balance too. Had a similar problem with my c130 but only on one of the motors. Gotta work on that a bit.
They still may not be making good contact, I’d try sanding down till you don’t need pliers to snap them in. And yes I was plugging power into the Batt/Bind port.
Unfortunately I believe a lot of us are experiencing QC issues.
BTW you know how to "dad" staf :D. There goes another sub
Thank you!!
😢a shame about the front gear
It was surely unfortunate, but I guess could have been worse 😊
