The way you portray it at the beginning of the video is not actually how such DNA results usually work. It is not where your ancestors must have lived, but where the current population matches some sections of your DNA. So if your ancestors have some DNA markers (probably STLs) common in southern Italy and Greece which are otherwise rare, the test will show you this ancestry. Some of your ancestors might have left the region 2000 years ago and settled in Dakia but this (non-coding) mutation remained unchanged in your village/population, as well as in the Greeks. Similarly it could be, that a subgroup of Wallachian farmers (or so) carried a mutation, but most of these exact farmers with the mutation were enslaved by the Ottomans and sold to the Barbary Coast. Proportionally way fewer people with the mutation stayed behind and the test now counts the mutation as North African mutation. That is probably less likely than some regional immigration from North Africa (maybe with intermediate steps), but it cannot be ruled out, your ancestors might never seen the Barbary Coast.
@@j1r2000 Maybe, but todays Hungarians are almost not at all related to the Magyars which came there and introduced the language. For your theory, the "Hungarian" part would have had come to Romania before the Ottomans depopulated Hungary, possibly even before the Mongols depopulated Hungary. That is a long time ago. 7% seems like a lot.

Maybe it'll be a sleeper hit of 1.35 I think it's time to start a cursed empire run and, as Inca, become Emperor of China and Rome and restore the latter's historic borders
I may have an explanation for the Finnish portion. During 19th century, the Finnish Guard who served as the lifeguard for the Tsar were deployed in Poland, Hungary and Crimea, with their latter deployment being during the Russo-Turkish war of 1877-78 in Romania and Bulgaria. So a soldier may have gotten frisky with one of the local women. This is purely speculation though as the test doesn't seem to give timeframe for each portion, but the size does imply a relatively recent influence.
@@vasileandreichirila1880 Fair point. Although that would mean the test is absolute garbage as the genetic separation point between ethnic Finnic peoples and Hungarians is far distant than with Baltics to either of the group and they're listed as a distinct group.

Might be a bit late, but here's a little tip for the HRE. The ability to have subjects in the HRE that don't take up diplo relation slots isn't gained with Revoke the Privilegia, you actually get it with the reform before that. So you can diplomatically subjugate all the HRE princes (or militarily if they don't agree) and you'll get the full bonus of Revoking. This might be easier and faster than getting enough support for the reform
It might be a "weird" one but I found that you can become Banten as Sunda and I find it exceptionnaly strong especially in this peculiar area because you can unlock Buddha as a hindu deity and get a LOT of monuments with this kind of thing + you've got amazing military ideas in my opinion and you're near cloves, which are very nice to have.
