Wow what a handsome RUclipsr 😍 It was a pleasure to make this, thank you so much for the opportunity again! I hope this is able to help new players out!😀
The only challenge in this game is learning the mechanics. When something finally does happen you can just smash through the enemy lines and walk to the victory points. It's boring. In my last game I defeated Germany by February 1939. The war isn't even supposed to start until September 1939. When Germany are defeated it's basically a waiting simulator. Italy join the Axis but for some reason Germany don't call them into the war even when I make it to Berlin with only 4 units of infantry.
Only 4 minutes in and I have learned more from this from almost 50 minutes of someone else's tutorial, an entire series of 25 videos 40mins to an hour long. Took 30 seconds to cover what that guy did in 20 minutes, no rambling, and no gross coughing and gobbing into his microphone, caught on face cam for all to see. Thank you for a tutorial that doesn't gross me the hell out.
I am already pretty good at HOI4, but i stopped by to see if there was anything new I could learn. And to my great surprise, the one doing the OFFICIAL guide is the same guy who taught me everything I know about HOI4. what a champion, Hammotime!
This has encouraged me to try HOI 4 again. Had real trouble getting my head around even the basics in the tutorial. Started again, so far, so good. Many thanks.
Did this seriously come out the week after I start making sense of the game’s basics. If only the game was 1% more complex, then it would’ve taken long enough for this video to come out beforehand. Jokes aside, and for the behalf of others. Good guide. It’s good to see one that’s official.
Should do a 30 minute lets play as a beginner country where you fight right away. As Germany I had no idea what to keep producing or remove from production. Also had no idea why my docks kept becoming available for use. Also how to keep ontop of armies getting supplies and having enough oil.
@jacobhansen718 It's not impossible to play. Just complicated, this tutorial seriously helped me out. Just pay a little more attention and you'll see.

Words cant describe how much I wanna love this game..... But man no matter how many times I try I can never past the insane amount of learning to do to simply understand wtf is happening.
Pace of this is a bit too quick for a beginner given the sheer depth of this game. So for someone who is completely new to the game I suggest the guides that take their time to explain each area. FlyingDutchy has a great series.
If you want to learn how to use ships and why… Look Mordred Viking Navy tutorial and/or his beginner friendly Italy play though. He talks all about different task forces how and why to use them and what kind of admiral is good to each type of task force. I did learn to love navy battles because of his tutorials!
Random question here for the fellow commneters. How many of your games have been runied through a random nation joining the faction you are at war with. And how many games were also runied by a nation you declare war on panic joining a faction.
Just bought the game. Didn’t turn on the historical accuracy thing and Russia + Germany has civil wars that ended in Stalin and Hitler’s deaths. So glad I bought this
