I have a couple of thoughts on this case: 1. I think that they put the 4000x model number in the filter, and made it nice, silver, and rounded off, is precisely because people are going to want to remove the front panel when they aren't expecting visits to show off their build (or taking pics). So they made it nice, because it can act as a front panel (sort of). 2. I think that sacrificing 5-ish degrees compared to a full mesh case is worth it for the esthetic factor, if it was more, like 10 degrees, hitting max temps, then it wouldn't make sense. But yeah, I think it's not fair to compare this with a full mesh front case, because of course it wouldn't win. Also, I bet that if you left the glass panel but take out the fine dust filter (let's face it, many X-treme airflow cases this day don't even bother with a fine mesh, more like a grate to keep little fingers from getting hurt by the fans, so they are going to take in some serious dust), it would be more comparable to the airflow optimized cases. 3. This case is the first case that has truly impressed me with a simple yet cool design, since the original Phanteks Enthoo Evolv. Case esthetic design has been going slightly downhill for the big brands as of these past few years. Airflow is necessary, but come on, surely we can arrive at a middle point between design and performance? Well, this seems to be awfuly close to that middle point it you ask me...

From what I gather from watching some videos, shouldn't you have at least one or two exhaust fans if you have three intake fans? Or are the three that it comes with enough?
Got this case and I'm happy with it. I'm running a micro ATX board and got a 280mm AIO top mounted. Corsair says you can fit a 280mm AIO which you can, however it is an extremely tight fit against the ram so be cautious when deciding to get an AIO. I got the kraken X63 btw.

I read recently the 4000 series have interchangeable front panels with the 4000D Solid panel version and 4000D Airflow Edition being interchangeable with the 4000X front panel on any of the other 4000 series cases. If the 4000D Airflow part is available (currently out of stock for both black and white variants) it can be had for $4.99 off of corsair's website. If you have a pre-built with a 4000x case or non-airflow edition 4000D you might just want to remove the front panel while you wait to replace it with the 4000D Airflow edition front panel (to basically make it a 4000D Airflow in every respect that matters) if you are concerned about thermal performance. It may not look as nice as the glass front (Which I prefer to the solid panel 4000D), but it could be good enough for the moment. Especially if you plan to invest in LL or ML RGB Fans to make the build quieter than the SP series RGB fans included with your 4000X, this small change is a must to not choke the fans.
@Ladioz you can have silent PC with mesh because you can run the fans at lower RPM. Throttling your case / internal fans due to higher thermals actually makes the system louder.

Looks neat and all, but I still don't get why in 2020 companies keep choking cases with blocked ventilation just for the sake of esthetics, I guess a lot of people like the idea of a pretty oven...at least they released a ventilated version of this. Great video as always!
Question about the RGB hub, does it have a 4 pin RGB connection to the motherboard or a 3 pin aRGB? I am trying to do an Asus Tug build but my Z390 has a 4 pin RGB header whereas the other case I'm looking at, the Asus GT301 has a 3 pin from the hub. If this is 4 pin I know what case I'm going for.

My 4000 Airflow will be here tomorrow. First build in 2+ years, quite excited. Saw this case and the spec list was quite impressive for the price but one of the big selling points for me was 280MM top AIO support. I don't know why more companies aren't doing this! I don't want to front mount my AIO and have my CPU heating up all my other components and even if I was going to most of them you can only mount tubes up which makes for annoying gurgling anyways. Glad it has a nice muted design too,. I wish the tinted glass was a bit less tinted however, I like good looking internals but I have decide to go almost no RGB so I guess I'll need a white LED strip or something to illuminate it a bit.
Do I need to purchase a fan controller if I'm getting this case, want to toss an additional corsair RGB fan in the rear, and have a RGB AIO? I haven't done much with RGB yet
Still happy owner of silverstone rl06. Great case for money with all fans included. Have black version with red fans. Also those 4k series doesnt look bad at all.

4000x rgb - it says maximum 6 fans - i want to have 3 on the front, 1 in the back and then there is the h150i processor cooling and it has 3 360 radiators. So i would have 7 fans. Now my question is, are the radiators from the cpu cooling "3 of 6 fans" or how is this to understand? Do they count as fans or not? sorry for my englisch and i am absolutely noob and i wanted the h150i but now i am not sure if i should take h150i or h115i (because it only has 2 radiators). thank you for you answers
I wish you would have went over AIO installation concerns. You touched on the power supply shroud cutout not being big enough for a radiator, but I would have also liked to understand how feasible it would be to mount an AIO on the top of the case, and how tight that fit would be.

the 4000D looks very interesting... really looking forward for that review
A true beauty that case.
But that glass front panel is a bummer.
Looking forward to the airflow case review.
Wonder if the front panel of the airflow fits the RGB case.
Just curious, was the test done without any exhaust fans? Would that effect the results?
Thanks for the Video. I will get this Case in a few weeks. First i wanted the black one but now i decided to get the white model. Build with a i9 10850k, RTX 2080ti and a Asus ROG Strix Z490F Gaming MB and Corsair Vengeance PRO DDR4 3000 mhz. Can't wait.
Can we sync the rgb to motherboard ?
yeah
Are the fans able to be purchasable separate from the case or are they hardwired into the ase like the previous sp series in the 470 and 570x ?
I really like the look the corsair icue 4000x rgb ... Would u recomend this for streaming ??? I have a r5 5600x .
A mini ITX version of the 4000D or 4000 airflow would be perfect
I looked into the 4000D, and it looks like its gonna be my next case, I will wait for you guys to review it ofc. But at 80 bucks, the price is right!
I have the white 4000 rgb absolutely love it
ooo that 4000d airflow sounds real tempting, i was looking at the lian li lancool 2 mesh at first but now, not so much
My 4000 Airflow will be here tomorrow.
I just bough the 465x RGB, RIPPP I didn't think there was going to be a lot of case releases this year
Probably have 10 hours watching this video, thank you so much for the help
Still happy owner of silverstone rl06. Great case for money with all fans included. Have black version with red fans. Also those 4k series doesnt look bad at all.
4000X RGB means Corsair didn't understand the market is changing.
The airflow version is of course better, but O11 or P400A for example have better temps.
Especially with RTX3000, we need airflow.
what about the size differences between the cases at the end? is the 4000x/4000d smaller than the rest?
The 400X has 2 fans or 3 fans included ? As I read the specs in my nearest computer shop near me it has only 2 fans. Is it different in every country?
Can’t wait to upgrade from my 450d airflow to the 4000 airflow!
From the KitGuru review, you need to use low-profile RAM (which Corsair conveniently makes).
@@donkeysunited considering that they also make rgb ram, you would think they might just make the case a tad taller.
hello I have a mobo msi x470 gaming plus but they do not have a 3-pin 5v input, will there be a problem or does the cabinet already have an adapter?
just bought the corsair 465x rgb and cant say that im mad about it tbh its a great case
With that case you can use a Celeron and MOBO's igpu for RTX ON
The useful one that doesn't block air is the cheapest. Good value.
I have a 4000x case and I really like it. What kind of rear fan do you guys recomend me for this case? 120? 140?
This is why I own CRSR stock
Hope they could refresh graphite line cases as well..
Contemplating between the Corsair 4000D Airflow and the BeQuiet Pure Base 500dx. Both white versions. Looking forward to build my Ryzen PC. Brings me back to my AthlonXP 2500 Barton AMD building days again!
Umm a question, I have an asus x570 pro ace motherboard which has no rgb headers. will this case with the node connector work on my motherboard?
I’m a fan of my 460x RGB. Only complaint is it could use a tad more cable management space
That's why I went with Crystal Series 680x RGB lmao. PLENTY of cable management space (i didnt manage mine though hahah, and i even have sleeved extensions), AND the PSU is in the back compartment and I prefer that so much.
will a top mounted 280mm radiator clear the ram? I have corsair vengeance rgb ram and a kraken x63 and im worried it wont have enough clearance
I'm 50/50 between the phankeks p500 and this one? which one you recommend guys?
thanks for the answers in advance
Can you use the front corsair fans in place of the NZXT Kraken fans, im planning on building a pc soon and this case is catching my eye but I'm not to sure about compatibility.
built my pc not yet got my graphics card so i have no display however my fans work but no rgb. Have i done something wrong or do i have so have the software to turn them on or should they just turn on automatically?
I have a problem, do you need to plug the usb 3.1 in the motherbard or nöt?
