I find it interesting that right after the desert discussion, Dennis quickly changed the subject to women and sex. LOL! And then toward the end when the talk sways to the topic of meaning and sex, you kid him a little by saying you're giving him a hard time. I'm not sure whether or not that pun was intended... 😂

This interview was four years ago. I wonder how you feel about this interview now Patrick. As someone who has been on both the right and the hardcore left, I can tell you that Dennis is 1000% correct. I’ll never go back to the left again. The agenda is dangerous to the black family and society as a whole.

I am so encouraged by reactions like yours! Back in the '60s when I was an undergrad, I was a "closet conservative" because faculty and most of my fellow students were hard core leftists. I was very sympathetic to the Civil rights movement and appalled by what was going on in the South at the hands of white ruling class Democrats. Following the Voting Rights Act of 1964, resisted and filibustered against by Southern AND Northern Democrat Senators, I was shocked by how Johnson's paternalistic Great Society poverty programs began to destroy the integrity of black families. I'm thrilled at the growing political emergence of prominent conservative African-Americans like Starr Parker, Winsome Sears, Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams, Leo Tyrrell, Candace Owens, Jason Riley, Shelby Steele, Burgess Owens, Tim Scott, Larry Elder, Deroy Murdoch, Kevin Cork, Lawrence Taylor, Ben Carson, Clarence Thomas, Glen Loury, Hershel Walker, the late greats, Herman Cain and Walter Williams, Dineen Borrelli, and you add more, the bench is deep and getting deeper. I think Frederick Douglass, George Washington Carver, Dr. King, and maybe even Malcolm X would be pleased.

Now that I'm older, wiser and with life experience, I see through all the smoke and mirrors that the left uses to keep a strong hold on people. No more! They are destroying everything around us and as a free American, I will not tolerate that. As a once newly arrived immigrant, my family arrived here because of the greatness of this country. Now people are LITERALLY thinking of leaving because of how bad the Democrat party is stripping us of our freedoms and destroying everything they tough. At this rate, it will not end well for this once great nation.

I didn't care for Trump but voted for him to cast my vote against Hillary, but now I love Trump. This administration has opened my eyes for the first time when they let their true colors be known. Thank God for DJT; I can't believe how he has hung in there after all he's been through. He's revealed things about this administration that have shocked us all.
Trump has done more for us than any President in my lifetime. O’Biden and this communist regime have committed treason over and over again. We have to stop this Tyranny, that the left has us put us under before it is too late. I just pray that America can hold up until 2025. I would have classified myself this way, especially an art studio major. But after having kids, I was assulted with the harsh reality that the state wants to claim ownership over the next generation. This passion for protecting my family he as absolutely propelled me into the 'right' camp.

Everything I do is in the arts , but I've never leaned to the Left. And I have noticed that most of my artist friends are either strong Left or Strong Right, though far fewer on the Right. However there is something else I have observed about those that lean Left, because I've always wanted to understand what makes a person lean to 1 side or the other, which is what Pat was trying to get at in the video. But I think Patrick was unprepared to hear the answer, and Dennis knew better than to go there [ if he understands what it is].
There is a short-sightedness, and stubbornness, much like a child having a tantrum, where they insist, and want something all the more, as you try to explain why it's not a good idea. They become offended, and resort to accusing you of only wanting to deprive them of something, rather than trying to understand that it's in their best interest. Thus they equate disagreement with 'hate'. There's a refusal to consider any possibility that there's a good motive behind the disagreement. I doubt that anyone on youtube will ever really get into the bottom line differences, because it's too polarizing and hard to convince anyone on the Left of the basic psychological deception involved.

@@michaelkraus4135 I do, Michael. I treasure the rare private conversations I had with him when I was a young, still somewhat rebellious young man. It was then that he shared some of the painful events he had endured after the loss of his father at age 7, and during the Great Depression when he had to drop out of medical school without attaining his MD in order to support my mom and older brother. In those talks he refrained from giving me advice for my future life with two exceptions: as a mayor in a small farming town of 3,000 souls, drafted into the position by the city council when no one else would run for the position, he advised me: "Don't ever get involved in small town politics!" And in another conversation he told me that whenever life hands you lemons, make lemonade out of them. Both turned out to be solidly good advice!
We moved away to the big city when Dad got promoted to CEO of a large insurance company. Nevertheless, I have always attended class reunions with the people I grew up with in that small town. At one of those reunions I was approached by a member of a graduating class two years ahead of ours. He introduced himself as the son of one of my father's business competitors from the time of my childhood. I remembered both him and his dad. He said, "I just wanted to tell you that when your family moved away, my dad said of your dad, 'this town will never be as good without him', and he was right". It made me very proud, and we both teared up. It was one of the greatest accolades of many I heard addressed to my dad over the years of his service to industry, community, and church. I just wished he could have lived long enough for me to have related it to him.

Dennis used a different word that knowledge, but could include it, as the Patrick used "Smart", which is often similar to intelligent [actually a potential[, not of just knowledge rather of thinking abilities. There is more details to describe and define the differences Dennis is explaining. He knows also there are several types and aspects of thought and thought processes. He is attempting to simplify them into one as used; "Smart". Wisdom is one of the types of thoughts which also has aspects of combination of others and also coming from The Creator, specifically in certain ways and paths. His comment about humans not naturally being good, gives great insight into him. With his knowledge and experience one would suspect that he has found others who proclaim the opposite. I personally found my foundational instincts and that of my family to be very good. They are poor people but very honest and good overall. It was very difficult for me to realize that an equal amount of people probably are inclined to be dark or driven more by fear. Mr Prager is one of them.

As a POC who was raised in a very left leaning family. I was raised with very left leaning ideals, and believed them until my mid 20s. In my 20s I began to challenge my own ideals and investigated both sides of the debate. I intentionally looked for the best arguments from both sides on every topic and I weighed them against the results of the differences in those ideals.
At the end of the the day I became a very strong Constitutional Libertarian, who is very Conservative friendly. I also went from an atheist to a Christian.

If you do that it will lead you toward more conservative ideals.

"Love thy neighbor" does not mean or say that you have to "LIKE" them. It means compassion for them whether you like them or not. Compassion is flawless. Love is a tricky concept and can in fact create anything from jealousy, to the self-goal of becoming loved in return. TRUE love however, is not self-seeking but rather it is self-giving and with the element of compassion within it.
