Fantastic stuff, really interesting ............... in a word "Polaroid".
Great interview.
People are influenced by their environment but evolve and make changes due to changes in life experiences.
I find it interesting that right after the desert discussion, Dennis quickly changed the subject to women and sex. LOL! And then toward the end when the talk sways to the topic of meaning and sex, you kid him a little by saying you're giving him a hard time. I'm not sure whether or not that pun was intended... 😂
John wayne gacy Such compelling lucid arguments! Have you considered a career in debate?

This interview was four years ago. I wonder how you feel about this interview now Patrick. As someone who has been on both the right and the hardcore left, I can tell you that Dennis is 1000% correct. I’ll never go back to the left again. The agenda is dangerous to the black family and society as a whole.
Good for you. 👍
I am so encouraged by reactions like yours! Back in the '60s when I was an undergrad, I was a "closet conservative" because faculty and most of my fellow students were hard core leftists. I was very sympathetic to the Civil rights movement and appalled by what was going on in the South at the hands of white ruling class Democrats. Following the Voting Rights Act of 1964, resisted and filibustered against by Southern AND Northern Democrat Senators, I was shocked by how Johnson's paternalistic Great Society poverty programs began to destroy the integrity of black families. I'm thrilled at the growing political emergence of prominent conservative African-Americans like Starr Parker, Winsome Sears, Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams, Leo Tyrrell, Candace Owens, Jason Riley, Shelby Steele, Burgess Owens, Tim Scott, Larry Elder, Deroy Murdoch, Kevin Cork, Lawrence Taylor, Ben Carson, Clarence Thomas, Glen Loury, Hershel Walker, the late greats, Herman Cain and Walter Williams, Dineen Borrelli, and you add more, the bench is deep and getting deeper. I think Frederick Douglass, George Washington Carver, Dr. King, and maybe even Malcolm X would be pleased.
@@bearowen5480 I concur.
@@bearowen5480 Great comment however please stop saying “African American”. This is a nonsense phrase made up by race hustler Jessie Jackson to divide us. We are all Americans. No modifiers needed.
I absolutely agree with you. I too was once on the left. Now that I'm older, wiser and with life experience, I see through all the smoke and mirrors that the left uses to keep a strong hold on people. No more! They are destroying everything around us and as a free American, I will not tolerate that. As a once newly arrived immigrant, my family arrived here because of the greatness of this country. Now people are LITERALLY thinking of leaving because of how bad the Democrat party is stripping us of our freedoms and destroying everything they tough. At this rate, it will not end well for this once great nation.
I'm a black woman and I grew up in a house that was Democrat and I listened to all the rhetoric, but at some point in my life common sense came into play.

A retired teacher literally wasting your money on something that absolutely doesn't even need your financial support.... People like Dennis Prager prey on people like you just like every other phoney religious figure out there asking for money
I left my own comment here, which would serve as a good rebuttal to your statements. You can look for it and read it if you like. Prager is just a foghorn for BS, in my not so humble opinion.
I love listening to people whose thoughts all tie together harmoniously. “Preach what you practice” is brilliant. Prager is and unflinching, honest leader.
i am 19. I grew up in a Nigerian Christian family. Found Jordan Peterson at 17 and Thomas Sowell (an other like minded economist) at 19. I had been introduced to other intellectuals before that were left leaning or liberal but Prager is correct. When you hear something that just makes sense, it stays with you and changes your values
TRUTH HAS A CERTAIN RING...
I was the same way, minus the Nigerian part but I was liberal when I was young. My Mom drilled that garbage in my head from pretty much day 1. But at about 22 I had a good friend DESTROY all my backward Liberal beliefs in a conversation that opened my eyes and really changed my life. Sometimes I wish I never knew the truth and was still blind because the left is so Frustrating DUMB and DESTRUCTIVE. But then I'd be part of the ignorant problem in America that alows the Left to do what they do.
Well then complement your journey with mark Passio
That is exactly why the left fears conservative speakers in colleges and protest them. They know logical thinking instead of emotionally thinking will eventually click with a lot of their students. They have to keep it away from them and control the flow of information.
You are brainwashed. Go get help.
It changed my life when I heard, "facts don't care about your feelings".
google "truthiness"
Fact: The founders of America defined Americans as "WHITE persons of good character.". Race AND values are both essential. Prager and Shapiro deny the founding values of America and hold in contempt anyone today who agree with the 1790 immigration policy. They are liars and revisionists.
lorem ipsum " This law limited naturalization to immigrants who were free White persons of good character. It thus excluded American Indians, indentured servants, slaves, free blacks and later Asians, although free blacks were allowed citizenship at the state level in certain states." Yes, founding value of America was racism and slavery, which some of you still cherish, even after all this years.
It changed my life when I found out you don't have to have any academic creds to start a fake university spouting propaganda. All you have to have is backers with deep pockets.

@@kanal9_ -- Let's pretend there is such a thing as racism, as you claim. Okay, then why does Prager lie about America and pretend it was founded on "values"? Because Prager is a liar as I already said. You agree. Conservatives today are liberals just as Prager says. Prager is a revisionist and liar.
Dennis Praeger , Jordan Peterson and Thomas Sowell are one of the most brilliant minds of our times ...and doubled by outstanding characters ...a brilliant mind is nothing without a good heart and character

I was a born, raised 3rd generation liberal until I grew up and started listening Dennis on the radio on my way home from work. It took a couple of years but I’m now a conservative.
Good for you, glad to have come of darkness to the Light
I used to be independent, I didn't like politics and I still don't. There's corruption on both sides. I liked JFK & RFK (but apparently, both were morally corrupt). I loved Reagan but couldn't stand the Bush’s.
I didn't care for Trump but voted for him to cast my vote against Hillary, but now I love Trump. This administration has opened my eyes for the first time when they let their true colors be known. Thank God for DJT; I can't believe how he has hung in there after all he's been through. He's revealed things about this administration that have shocked us all.
Trump has done more for us than any President in my lifetime. O’Biden and this communist regime have committed treason over and over again. We have to stop this Tyranny, that the left has us put us under before it is too late. I just pray that America can hold up until 2025. Biden’s administration is the most corrupt evil regime in history. Stop Vanguard, State Street, Black Rock; Fink, Soros, Schwartz, Schwab, Zuckerberg, Bezos, Gates Pelosi, Obama, Clinton, Bush, Mayorkas, Garland, Wray, etc. from destroying our Constitution, and our Country.

May God have mercy on America & and open our eyes. 🇺🇸
Four years after this conversation. I was interested in Pat's observation of 'artsy' people being more emotional and liberal leaning. I would have classified myself this way, especially an art studio major. But after having kids, I was assulted with the harsh reality that the state wants to claim ownership over the next generation. This passion for protecting my family he as absolutely propelled me into the 'right' camp.
Everything I do is in the arts , but I've never leaned to the Left. And I have noticed that most of my artist friends are either strong Left or Strong Right, though far fewer on the Right. However there is something else I have observed about those that lean Left, because I've always wanted to understand what makes a person lean to 1 side or the other, which is what Pat was trying to get at in the video. But I think Patrick was unprepared to hear the answer, and Dennis knew better than to go there [ if he understands what it is].
There is a short-sightedness, and stubbornness, much like a child having a tantrum, where they insist, and want something all the more, as you try to explain why it's not a good idea. They become offended, and resort to accusing you of only wanting to deprive them of something, rather than trying to understand that it's in their best interest. Thus they equate disagreement with 'hate'. There's a refusal to consider any possibility that there's a good motive behind the disagreement. I doubt that anyone on youtube will ever really get into the bottom line differences, because it's too polarizing and hard to convince anyone on the Left of the basic psychological deception involved.
@@jameseverett9037 Using Prager's analogy...the left is the child that would eat the cheesecake, but have a tantrum if the wise dad (right) does not allow it. So blinded by their craving that there is no possible reasoning with them.
I love that when the pressure is on, Dennis doesn't reverse himself. Very good interview, all politicians should be interviewed this way.
Instead of dancing around the issue, like Trump, he digs right in and defend himself.
Like trump and like Biden and everyone else running for president. You should look at what the current administration has done to destroy this country since they are the people currently running the show

@@michaelkraus4135 I do, Michael. I treasure the rare private conversations I had with him when I was a young, still somewhat rebellious young man. It was then that he shared some of the painful events he had endured after the loss of his father at age 7, and during the Great Depression when he had to drop out of medical school without attaining his MD in order to support my mom and older brother. In those talks he refrained from giving me advice for my future life with two exceptions: as a mayor in a small farming town of 3,000 souls, drafted into the position by the city council when no one else would run for the position, he advised me: "Don't ever get involved in small town politics!" And in another conversation he told me that whenever life hands you lemons, make lemonade out of them. Both turned out to be solidly good advice!
We moved away to the big city when Dad got promoted to CEO of a large insurance company. Nevertheless, I have always attended class reunions with the people I grew up with in that small town. At one of those reunions I was approached by a member of a graduating class two years ahead of ours. He introduced himself as the son of one of my father's business competitors from the time of my childhood. I remembered both him and his dad. He said, "I just wanted to tell you that when your family moved away, my dad said of your dad, 'this town will never be as good without him', and he was right". It made me very proud, and we both teared up. It was one of the greatest accolades of many I heard addressed to my dad over the years of his service to industry, community, and church. I just wished he could have lived long enough for me to have related it to him.

Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit, wisdom is knowing not to put one in a fruit salad.
Haha mmmmm tomato fruit salad
Tomato is a vegetable
@@husseinali-ei6ft @Christopher Freeze: An interesting example to choose. WHY? Because a tomato has a combination of aspects of both vegetables and fruits.
Also, who says tomato does not go together with fruits or which fruits.
Example: Avocado is a fruit, clearly. Tomato and avocado go together well. Would You put avocado together with peaches, nectarines, pears, apples citrus??
Which other fruits would You put together with tomato? Some would put pineapple together with tomato and some will not. Also some have differences in tastes and combinations.

Perhaps We can conjure and conceive of better examples to show knowledge compared with wisdom
Dennis used a different word that knowledge, but could include it, as the Patrick used "Smart", which is often similar to intelligent [actually a potential[, not of just knowledge rather of thinking abilities. There is more details to describe and define the differences Dennis is explaining. He knows also there are several types and aspects of thought and thought processes. He is attempting to simplify them into one as used; "Smart". Wisdom is one of the types of thoughts which also has aspects of combination of others and also coming from The Creator, specifically in certain ways and paths. Actually, all forms, types of thoughts, thinking, thinking processes come from the creator including the thoughts themselves. However, this is probably difficult for most to accept, just yet.

Prager is right the leftists don't make sense and ade now devoid of reason. It's all about disrupting and tearing down.

Patrick, you are one of the most important people in relation to saving America. We will either have a war or people will just give up.
When the War starts it will take men like you, Tucker, Musk, Trump, Vivek, Bongino, Prager and many more to forget their passions and fight for America.
Pre-War right now your show is so important it is unimaginable for the future of the Western world..
Fantastic discussion. Strong person yet no ego. Great questions, really good questions , sensible responses. Love these guys together.
Now everyone is wondering what the original comment was.
That is no big deal .. you can have a meaningful dicussion with pretty much everyone as long as you dont represent, for example a country like Iran that threatens to wipe your nation "off the map".

Because of Dennis Prager, I am reminded to phone my elderly parents at least once a week.
Great interview! Highly respect both gentlemen… off topic.. seeing the Book Beautiful Joe in Dennis’s library warmed my heart, one of my favorite stories growing up ♥️ 🐶
Patrick, you should be commended for the guests you have on. Not many business-related content producers would welcome potential controversy - Prager, Alex Jones etc.
These are fair, balanced discussions where people can take away their own conclusions.
I could listen to Dennis Prager talk for hours. Non-stop wisdom flows from him.

Seriously the greatest interview ever. Thank you B. David. Luv Dennis!!! Someone who politically aligns with me so specifically I'm literally astounded. I just gave up and thought I was either weird/insane, or a total genius. I feel comforted now that Dennis Prager even exists on the earth. Love this interview so much!❤
I am 60 years old Dennis Prager is one of the coolest guys I've ever seen
This was a great discussion. They agreed on quite a bit but pat does an impeccable job of pushing who he interviews, not to insult or bully, but to test. I feel he wants to just get the best and the most certain responses out of people. Very important episode.
Dennis Prager is the man for all seasons. Great intellectual with common sense, speaks with confidence of his beliefs. Thank you for this interview!🙂🇺🇸
?
Lol
Agree, he is sharp
Prager got me to switch . Prager U started the process.
His comment about humans not naturally being good, gives great insight into him. With his knowledge and experience one would suspect that he has found others who proclaim the opposite. I personally found my foundational instincts and that of my family to be very good. They are poor people but very honest and good overall. It was very difficult for me to realize that an equal amount of people probably are inclined to be dark or driven more by fear. Mr Prager is one of them.
It's true that I saw a lot of democrats live a conservative lifestyle but advocating democratic ideas and values.
Their called bluedog dems and they are.ok for the most part

I was raised by Democrats, and I agree with Dennis, being on the far right is common sense. It’s an IQ thing.
Is far right free market capitalism or WW2 German dictator?
@@franknuzzo2576 WW2 German Dictator was a Socialist haha... so..
Present Day example? Prime Minister JustinTrudeau. A bona fide Dictator, wearing a "Liberal" facade.
Might want to do some research... but again.. it IS an IQ thing so... ;)
@@20LookInside12 I know that. I’m richer and smarter than you.
As a POC who was raised in a very left leaning family. I was raised with very left leaning ideals, and believed them until my mid 20s. In my 20s I began to challenge my own ideals and investigated both sides of the debate. I intentionally looked for the best arguments from both sides on every topic and I weighed them against the results of the differences in those ideals.
At the end of the the day I became a very strong Constitutional Libertarian, who is very Conservative friendly. I also went from an atheist to a Christian.
I genuinely believe a person willing to look at the data and analyze it, look at the results of the differences in ideas, weigh which of the ideas are consistent with logic and reason.
If you do that it will lead you toward more conservative ideals.
The Bible makes sense; Christ is the way. We need to remove ourselves out of the way. Thank God for America & our Constitution.
@@1stockdale159 "Christ is the way. We need to remove ourselves out of the way." I'm not exactly sure, what you mean to say by this ?
@@carlosidelone8064 We’re raised with certain personal beliefs; and political, social, and religious customs. That can interfere.
We need to let go of our past, die completely out of this world, and sin.
Some people are raised that you have to wear a tie, and some believe that it is to wear a tie. Put these personal prejudices aside; pray and read the Bible, let it be your guide. We need to seek God first with all our hearts; He will show us the way. He’s the truth, the way, and the life.
May God bless all that seek Him, and do His will. Praise the Lord.

Awesome interview as usual Pat, thank you for your pursuit of understanding and wisdom.
I was raised in a small Maine town that has a paper mill. A democratic area. I was raised in a democratic family and was a strong Democrat. Then I had a miraculous change and am now a born again believer in Jesus. That changed my political views because it opened my eyes to true morality.
I’ve been listening to Dennis Prager since the 1990s on KABC. Dennis Prager is among the most insightful/wisest people in the world. He’s on 870AM Monday-Friday. Patrick is one the best interviewers and also a wise man like Dennis Prager.
Prager is a "Israhell First" Zionist NeoCon
Interestingly enough I encountered Dennis Prager on my first day at college. Probably saved my life. He has been and continues the most wise man in America, from my perspective.
Love Mr. Prager!!! Wonderful human being with the values I share. God bless you, and yours!!!
This conversation makes me think more about what to base my decisions on. I am a Christian and I want to make good decisions on voting for the right person. Thank you for having this discussion.

Who are these people below? Weird, Dennis is the man!
I appreciate this man understanding the difference between a liberal and a leftist. I also appreciate that he acknowledged the lack of actual liberal representation when it comes to well known people having a voice on media. We are literally not represented. Instead we deal with leftists using the liberal umbrella and then I get to hear fox going off blaming liberals for everything.
This interview is from a few years ago and for many of us we saw the difference between liberals and leftists . most conservatives I know today are more liberal than those that claim to be liberal democrats today! They are leftist/progressives in reality!
Yes, Yes, Yes! I’ve argued this for years now! The democrat party is no longer a liberal party, at least not using the classic liberal definition. It is still remarkable to me but over the last 8-12 years I have found more in common, politically and culturally, with those running/following republicans than those running/following democrats. Which is completely unbelievable to me.
Strange none you wanna do anything about it
I was liberal until trump one, now I'm considered far right because I don't believe men can be women.
@@unbroken1010 What do you propose?
"Love thy neighbor" does not mean or say that you have to "LIKE" them. It means compassion for them whether you like them or not. Compassion is flawless. Love is a tricky concept and can in fact create anything from jealousy, to the self-goal of becoming loved in return. TRUE love however, is not self-seeking but rather it is self-giving and with the element of compassion within it.
By far the best interview I've seen on this channel.
I really genuinely thank God in my heart for Dennis Prager. He is a gift to Western civilization in our time. And I respect Bet-David for respectfully debating and arguing with him. That gives me hope that the wisdom of men like Prager will be passed on, even if the West doesn't survive.
"Preach what you practice" Dennis Prager, you're a genius! I can relate so deeply with this. You just gave me the right words! Thank you!
