70s music in one word, Schmaltzy! 60s music was groundbreaking. 80s music was the pinnacle decade of the pop-rock era as evidenced by the proliferation of 80s dedicated radio stations through the 90s and into the early 2000s.
Just found your channel. I love it. My favorite memory was being at my best friend's house, who's parents were very religious. We would sing Elton John's "Bitch is back" top of our lungs just leaving one word our. I guess we were to loud and bad that they didn't notice.
Earth Wind and Fire is my favorite group of all time. Most innovative group of the 70s and beyond. I went to see these guys in concert, and they were one of the few groups that actually sounded like or even better than their recordings. Thanks for the memories. As some said on another channel, "Listening to these songs makes you wonder what the hell happened to today's music."
The Doobie brothers song black water was actually released as the B side to the single another park another Sunday and the radio DJs actually flipped the record over and played the B-side and it wound up being a big hit
Remember these Songs and Days...Simpler times of falling in love every few months whilst trying to work out who I was, breaking hearts and having it broken...😊😊😊
Absolutely a very fun decade to grow up ! I was a teenager in the 70s and it was awesome ! A simpler time in life . I’ll never forget it ,great music, good Times 🙏🏻❤️
In 1975 I went to Texas twice with two different friends from Louisville , Kentucky . The first trip was to Canton , Texas with my friend "MARK" and the second trip was to Dallas , Texas with my friend "RICK" . Both trips were some eight hundred miles long and I was very exhausted afterward . I heard "PHILADELPHIA FREEDOM" by ELTON JOHN on the radio quite a lot of times ! I had fun though !

Love all the songs. They really take me back. I can't subscribe to your channel, though, because I don't want to be reminded every two minutes to hit the subscribe and like buttons. I think most people know how RUclips works. Once is plenty
I wasn't into that gaudy disco scene much less the music. I listened to Soul, Rock and remember 1975 was also the beginning of my interest in Classical and Smooth Jazz genres.
1975 was unfortunately a bad year for me as I lost my fiance "JULIA" , my job , and my apartment all within about a month . I was then unemployed for seventeen months as the United States was going through a depression . I finally got back to work in March 1977 .
Philadelphia Freedom was indeed written for Billie Jean King but there was far more than just the words sounding good together as it says in the video. Philadelphia Freedom was the name of Billie Jean King's tennis team in the Team Tennis League that was around at the time.
Sophomore year of high school. FM radio, Midnight Special, Dr Demento, Pacifica Midnight News and Monty Python. No videos. Just the Audio, headphones and your imagination. Don’t tell me what the song is supposed to mean. It means what it means to me.
Elton John diid write Philadelphia Freedom for Billie Jean King and it did involve Philadelphia and freedom. World Team Tennis was started by BJK in 1975, a team tennis league. The team she played for was the Philadelphia Freedom.
Like the quick run-thru of the #1s from these years, but some of the facts are off. Jerry Butler "He Will Break Your Heart" is from 1960, not 1964. Dave Mason played guitar on "Listen to What the Man Said", Tom Scott played sax. Facts not to hard to get right.
I still have to all my 45’s classics
Me too from 1974 they were $0.77 at Value Mart (pre FredMeyers) btw it's only RnR but I LIKE it. Only Women Bleed A.C.
Fly, Robin, Fly was so mysterious and so different.. I couldn't help but like it. How can you resist that thumping bass and the soaring strings.

I had the biggest crush on Tony Orlando. I was in third grade. Ha ha. And I was crushing on Freddie Prinz too.
I'm sorry/Calypso by John Denver wasn't included after "Fame" by David Bowie
I'm Sorry/Calypso was forgotten...should had come after "Fame" by David Bowie
Just graduated high school, pink floyd ,zz top kiss elo queen Aerosmith all time bands.
I wasn't into that gaudy disco scene much less the music. I listened to Soul, Rock and remember 1975 was also the beginning of my interest in Classical and Smooth Jazz genres.
I believe, for 1975, the Song of the Year was
_Dream Weaver._
1975 was unfortunately a bad year for me as I lost my fiance "JULIA" , my job , and my
apartment all within about a month . I was then unemployed for seventeen months as the
United States was going through a depression . I finally got back to work in March 1977 .
"A year that changed music foreever...."
Isn't this phrase used in each episode ?!
After all,a change forever there can be only after one single year
'Sweet Sticky Thing' by the Ohio Players is my fave from that group!!,💯❤️rekwife
I was the first to play Ohio Players at a school dance when I was 14. I enjoyed this very much.
Great songs and pretty girls!
Sister Golden Hair is quintessential 1975.

The constant interruptions to share, like, and subscribe are reallllly annoying. Consequently, I won't do any off the three.
F M radio dial, maybe 3 stations 1972 Seattle. Gradually more...
KJR KOL KYAC music on AM transistor pocket radio,s prior.

The music is fine but the video is laborious
