Hi everyone! In tonight’s video, I will be helping you wind down with some gentle personal attention and relaxing triggers. My goal is to make you feel safe, deeply relaxed, and assist with a night of great rest! I will be recreating one of my favorite childhood memories on you and adding some pleasurable sounds as well as an element of white noise (one of my biggest triggers). This video is really special to me because it reminds me of my Mom, who would often put me to sleep in this way when I was very young. She also loves ASMR and watches all of my videos (👋🏻❤️). I've tried to recreate the experience for you with the care she would show to me that made me feel so safe and relaxed. I've also included some of my favorite sounds and gentle white noise - one of my biggest triggers. Hope you enjoy! ❤️

when i was little i would sleep in my moms bed with her, and if i was having trouble sleeping she would "make sandwiches" on my back, like trace cutting the tomatoes and lettuce and spreading the mayo and everything while whispering what she was doing. it was definitely my intro to asmr and it would knock me tf out. moms are the best

There is always something different about your videos compared to other ASMR creators. I'm not bashing them, but it just feels almost like an entirely different experience versus others. There's just so much empathy and compassion coming through each and every one of your videos I've watched. It helps soothe the anxiety the best because I feel like I don't "have to impress you" if that makes sense.

When I was a child, my dad used to relax me by tracing my face and eyebrows with his finger and saying the names of different Disney princesses while doing so. My mom would always brush and braid my hair too. Funny how creative our parents get to calm our nerves and get us to sleep :)

My mom used to do this too! She would take the colours from my bedsheets and use them as the imaginary makeup! This was so nice and nostalgic and amazing to discover that other moms did this too x

What a fascinating channel. I stumbled here for the ASMR, then dove into years of varied content. I found it to be eclectic, honest, and personal. A visage into a life of sharing feelings, advice, and thoughts on the mundane and the profound. Yet under it all is a human being, with struggles and rawness, who’s just trying to make their way, as are we all. I’m not sure I can define this past hour or so of browsing here, but it wasn’t a waste of time.
This is exactly how I found Julia, and this was a great explanation! She is real, she is honest and always shares such caring content.
Totally agree, I had watched videos by Julia for some time before more recently seeing some of her more more personal content detailing her own struggles. If anything this made me feel more of a connection to the videos having more of an insight into her as a human being with her own ups and downs

This reminds me of my mum too. She used to trace each feature of my face with her fingers repeating the name of each part (eyes, eyebrows, nose, lips...). We are living in different countries and due to Covid we haven’t physically seen each other for almost a year. Next time I see my mum I’ll ask her to trace my face until I fell sleep.

Tier 4 restrictions in the UK have me feeling very isolated. Missing my friends and family a lot, very frustrated and sad about everything, and when you asked if I needed to vent, I didn’t realise how helpful that would be. My mom and dad never really cared of my anxiety, I couldn’t sleep for hours and I always went to their room asking for company, but they would shake it off saying “you need to grow up, is a thing we all go through, just don’t bother us anymore. OMG when your hands came out from behind the camera it was like a whole new sensation. And then I was mesmerized watching your hands and the shadows, and then the freaking bottle sounds?!? Worth. The. Wait.
This was so comforting and relaxing. My mom would sing “doe a deer” to me at night. She would also use this special hairbrush (that I still have) which felt like a scalp massage to brush my hair every night. I first experienced ASMR then during those night time routines! This was such a nostalgic and lovely reminder.

I use my fingertips to write words, names and letters onto my son's back and arms when we lay in bed together at night or first thing in the morning, or when we watch TV together. He asks me to do it all the time. I hope when he's older it will be a special memory for him. I treasure our little ritual more than he'll ever know.
