6:30 onward is outrageous! This album is my favorite thing Chris Potter's ever done... The solo on Train is possibly my favorite sax solo ever. God I wish he'd do another live album with Underground. Studio recordings are great, but there's nothing like their balls-out live shows.
This is a killer tune. I love it from the first notes. It comes from somewhere and goes somewhere instead of just dropping you in the middle. That's what makes life interesting...the journey...night to day, peace and calm to frenzy, etc. I'm havin it.
Adam Rogers has an amazing solo--one of most distinct and original "voices' on the electric guitar.
This will always be one of my favourite tunes to listen to. Also - the solos are absolutely stunning. It's like listening to a painting.
