There is NOTHING on this Earth, quite like European Starling love. They are the most magical creatures… and their reciprocation of love to their humans / rescuers is unreal
Im back again because of the recent comments sending me alerts 😁.. the man reminds me of my daddy who passed away 10 years ago. He made wee videos when my daughter was a baby and in one said "these ( camcorders) will be a thing of the past when she's older" . I took no heed of him..he was right 😊. This video shows a really lovely warm family.
You're welcome anytime Donna and i'm sorry to hear about your daddy, mine passed a few years ago completely out of the blue, no warning. That's me doing the "slabbering"..lol😁 and that's my Ma and my wee neice who's a big girl now, 8 I think. Lot's of ❤️ again.
I am so sorry that you lost your beautiful bird. I have a talking Starling named Tweeters. I almost can't stand the thought of when he is no longer with me. He turned 5 May 1.
@@tweetersthetalkingstarling5147 Thank you so much our little Rascal was born on May 1. We worked that out because they take their first bath on day 18 in captivity for some reason. Just remember a pet Starling in Canada lived to 19 years! I think the world record is around 22! Enjoy every minute with Tweeters!❤️
The european starling introduced as an invasive species to North America in the late 19th century. It affects native species (chickadees, nuthatches, woodpeckers, purple martins, other swallows) through competition for nest holes. It's role in the decline of local native species and the damages to agriculture, the common starling has been included in the IUCN List of the world's 100 worst invasive species.
Look up how many tonnes of destructive insects they eat per year. I doubt many arable farmers would take the same view as you. They're a protected species in the UK thanks to common sense.
@@mbkillops 120%. So so glad Starlings are protected in the UK; -I pray the USA will add them to protected in the future, and add humans to the invasive list. -I had my Timmy Starling from 2 days out of his egg, to 13 years. He was my best friend, and my family. He saved my life… Starling love from KY, USA… 💘
Would it help if they were given citizenship? Nothing is more destructive to any native songbird species, among dozens of other small animals, than a common house cat allowed to prowl. The amount of pesticides these birds eliminate the need for would drastically change how you eat if they were eradicated. Starlings couldn't hold a light to the amount of destruction humans cause so I fail to see the constructive point of this statement. These birds are so much more than a species that is hated for sport.

Not talking much this time?
The video is 7 years old and Rascal is no longer with us.

@@mhz-yn9gh wonderful to hear, they really are like little people and unless you've lived with one you won't understand.
@@sawyerthestarling well said. The thing about cats is they kill for fun...like humans.
