MELTING CRAYON PUMPKIN
MATERIALS
Crayons
Hot glue or fast-drying tacky glue
Hair dryer or kitchen blowtorch
White pumpkin
INSTRUCTIONS
White pumpkins work best with this look to allow the crayon colours to pop. If you’re unable to find a white pumpkin, paint a regular orange pumpkin with white primer. Allow paint to dry.
Remove the paper coating from the crayon and snap the crayon in half.
Glue both halves of the crayons to the top of the pumpkin. Repeat until you have covered the round top uniformly.
Allow the glue to dry.
On a low power setting, point the dryer downwards and blow dry the crayons. Be patient with the low heat -high heat may melt the crayons faster but it will be messier and look less defined.
Glue additional crayons to patchy areas and melt as above to finish off your pumpkin.
Allow the wax to harden. You may also use a finishing coat to seal in the crayons. Once dry, this will no longer be just a pigment of your imagination!
SPIDER PUMPKIN
MATERIALS
1 large pumpkin
1 medium pumpkin
1 small-medium pumpkin
Toothpick
Pipe cleaners
Wiggly eyes, construction paper or cardstock paper
Staple
Staples
Glue
INSTRUCTIONS
Bend pipe cleaners into the shape of a spider’s leg.
Attach pipe cleaners on the bottom of the large pumpkin. Attach 2 pipe cleaner (legs) on both sides using a stapler.
Attach large and medium pumpkin together with a toothpick. Glue together to reinforce.
Attach 4 pipe cleaner (legs) to the bottom of the medium pumpkin.
Attach medium and small-medium pumpkin together with a toothpick. Glue together to reinforce.
Create eyes using paper or use wiggly eyes. Glue them on.
Use the pipe cleaner to create fangs. Glue it on.
CAT PUMPKIN
MATERIALS
Spray paint or paint
Paint gloss
Different size squashes
Paper for eyes and ears
Glue
Toothpick
INSTRUCTIONS
Paint or spray paint the cats to the desired color.
Let paint dry.
Assemble the squashes together with toothpicks and glue to create the body of the cat
Use paper to create eyes and ears
Glue the eyes and ears on
GLOW-IN-THE-DARK PAINTED PUMPKIN
MATERIALS
Black acrylic paint
Painters or masking tape
Glow-in-the-dark paint
Gloss finishing paint
Pumpkin
Paint brushes
INSTRUCTIONS
Mark and cut out shapes on the tape to create stencils for your design.
Tape to the pumpkin before applying the black acrylic paint. Let paint dry before applying additional coats if needed.
Once pumpkin is dry to the touch, gently peel off the tape to avoid pulling off any of the black paint.
Using a small paint brush, carefully paint on the glow-in-the dark paint to the stenciled areas. Several coats may be required - allow to dry between coats.
Optional: apply a gloss finishing coat.
The glow paint works best if exposed to light before use, and it can also be recharged over time with light exposure. And thar she glows!
OWL PUMPKIN
MATERIALS
Felt paper
Sticky tape or sewing pins
Hot glue
Scissors
Pumpkin
INSTRUCTIONS
Mark and cut out your shapes on the felt paper. If you prefer, you can also create stencils first, and tape or pin to the felt before cutting out the shapes.
Glue the shapes to the pumpkins. You’ll be staring at these cute pumpkins owl night long!
FLYING BAT PUMPKIN
MATERIALS
Cardstock paper
Black acrylic paint
Paint brushes
Hot glue
Scissors
Pumpkin
Small eye hooks
Fishing line
INSTRUCTIONS
Paint pumpkin black. Let dry.
Mark and cut out wings, eyes, and ears on the cardstock paper.
Glue the shapes to the pumpkins.
Screw eye hooked to the top of the pumpkin. Use two to equalize the weight.
String fishing line through both hooks to hang the bats. Bat you’ve never seen a flying pumpkin before!
SPOOKY EYES
MATERIALS
Hot glue
White primer or acrylic paint
Green acrylic paint
Adhesive wiggle eyes
INSTRUCTIONS
Prime your pumpkin with a white undercoat of paint if necessary. Let dry.
Apply acrylic paint coat with the color of your choice. Let dry.
Glue the eyes to the pumpkin in any configuration of your choice. Let glue dry.
Experiment with different sized eyes and patterns. All eyes will be on these pumpkins!

you want to have good looking pumkins, but dont want to go to the trouble of having to carve it? well no poblem, you'll just need wood, hay, drill,screwws pumkins, the clothes your wearing, and in no time you could spend longer to make a mess, than to actually carve the dam pumkin😂

I really like those ideas btw, it's something different then just craving. In Germany we do this too :) we don't just crave the pumpkins we like it to be creative with the season stuff, we like it to decorate and DIY things :) really good idea buzzfeed

Carving is too hard. I mean, I've never carved a pumpkin in my whole life but it seems hard haha.
Dad's on a hunting trip and I lost my shoe. Lol, try it! It's super fun if you have the right kind of knife and it slices easily. Otherwise it's a pain and a risk for fingers 😂
@@sylvanabrewer2347 Plus I'm pretty sensitive to the smell of the pumpkin after it's cut open. I remember when I was younger I would bury my face in a couch cushion until it had died down. Otherwise, the smell would make me gag. The words, "pumpkin guts", certainly didn't mend matters either.
