The first half of the season proved thoroughly unpredictable, with seven different winners in the first seven races, including Nico Rosberg and Pastor Maldonado who took their first Grand Prix wins.
Fernando Alonso showed that he still retained the ability to thrill the crowds as he became the unlikely championship leader in a Ferrari that was not the finest car on the grid.
Ultimately the title was settled in the very last race of the year in Brazil as Vettel and Red Bull Racing triumphed in greasy conditions.

@@Lucky.Man.Altimori 1982 as well. My thing is that seasons like 2010 and 2012 kept the great racing and the competitiveness, but with much better reliability so the latter is not a result of the lack of it.
Alonso may not have won 2012 championship but that year is still a reason why he is 1 of the greatest of all time

One of the best season in F1 imo because this season was very competitive. There are 7 wdc drivers one the grid (Raikkonen, Hamilton, Vettel, Schumacher, Rosberg, Button, Alonso), also 8 different GP winners even Maldonado won the race

Lotus wasn't bad in 2012 and early 2013. Both Kimi and Grosjean scored many podiums

the lotus used the renault engine, the best engine back then, it was the 3rd fastest car

No, the 2010-2014 ferraris were absolute tractors. Fernando got 70% of his team's points. Massa said: Fernando was about to win a World Cup with a car that was not even there to win races.
No, masa was a good driver, not the best, obviously, but a good reference to where the car was. In 2014, Alonso made 80% of the points against kimi. Kimi was also a bad pilot? Alonso is the best, and at that time he never had a decent car. Ferrari made tractors, there is no discussion.

@@EduGames4000 Well in 2014, tbh the title fight only occurred between Hamilton and Rosberg. But if Massa is here, maybe it's because he finished 7th in the championship? If he was 9th, he wouldn't be in the video. Raikkonen in 2014 finished only 12th. So, of course, he was not.
