Gorgeous performance by a stellar ensemble. I have watched this many times over the past 15 years, along with the other pieces in this recorded programme. Bravo!
I haven't really noticed before this conductor's unusually small hands. He establishes tempi that are just right, but I give credit for the expressiveness, excellent intonation, tone, and balance completely to the extraordinary singers.
