Operated a JD 310 with extendahoe in the late 70’s. Used JD graphite spray on wear strips, made them last long time! Glad you took time from your busy season to show how simple maintenance can make for less down time and expense. Another great video, be safe out there!

I put the Kennametal system on 2 weeks ago to trim up some hard packed, clay based roads. They worked ok on the dry stuff but just bogged up in the slightly damp stuff and wouldn't roll the gravel across. Just ended up pushing a heap of wet material forward that wouldn't leave the blade. Your system looks a bit better.

Nice video, keep them coming. How do you suppose they’ll hold up on crushed asphalt?

I’d imagine they would work pretty good I think they would wear maybe a little faster do to more abrasive material thanks for watching!

I remember when they used to be just straight combs, things have certainly improved since then. I think the first time I saw them was when I did work experience at Riverside Coal Mine near Moranbah when I was in high school. They had them on their 16G for the haul roads.
