Those new edges looking interesting. We have a set of boards / wedges we'd sell, if anyone is interested. The 300 boards will not work for us. In our gravel and chloride, they burn right up, even with rotating them around (spending way too much time rotating them around and not grading, to keep even wear on them). The double carbide or Sandvik type bits last and last. We've got 3 seasons on the double carbide and still should get another season out of them. Thanks for sharing !
I’m interested to see how they hold up only reason I’m trying these is the carbide so I don’t have to rotate them all the time like you had to I got some very hard material and had same problems you did if one could get a year on these edges it would really be nice cause I like the job they do I will definitely update everyone on how they hold up. That's pretty impressive how you have three and four foot sections I have a 14 ft small board in the Blazer 7 ft long and they're not like thank you for the video that was very helpful 🇺🇸🚜
We had horrible experience with the same Sharq blade you’ve got on the right side of your moldboard. Couldn’t go more then a mile without them being wore out. We stick with the sandvik stingers but I’d like to try the Cat Grader Bit 2 system.
I like the p300s but you are correct they wear pretty fast in hard material that’s why I’m trying these sharq carbide serrated edges see how they hold up I also have stinger edges really like them haven’t tried the new cat system have heard it’s very expensive though. One would never think a simple wedge would hold a blade on but they do work very well suer makes it easy to change edges glad you enjoyed the video thanks for watching!
we u mostly use 6ft or 7ft bolt on blades here . they get swapped around to stop the ends wearing more than the middle . they would be easier to change for snow
I honestly haven’t used a set of traditional steel edges for maintenance grading in 8 years I either use the sharq system like in the video or I use a double carbide edge or carbide rotating bits that way I always have a straight edge makes a huge difference when always have a straight edges. @@graderman140m be better for you to use sharq or double carbide for your weather ,we dont get snow in this part of Australia .Ive seen a few using rotating bits around here for maintenance grading .double edge carbide and the others held on by bolt and wedges would be easier to change for even wear . also we can cut over from alternative sides to even wear a bit. good to see new methods , can get stuck on old ways .

What psi do you run on your tires and what kinda tires
I run 45 psi in my tandems and 40 in the front I run Michelin snow plus tires
