It s probably the same with your friend, he is just guilt tripping her and toying with her feelings for him.
For that last story I got a feeling one of them gonna snap. I can already see the news headlines. "Local Alabama man/woman found dead in a trailer park"
That last story makes me sick to the stomach, like every other average case of abuse (I.e the person wants to leave, but when people come to take her away she is too attached to him, and doesn’t go, and stays. One day she will leave though, or die trying, or even worse, die without trying, but it’s strictly limited to those) Edit: Thanks for the likes!
Yep. At that point she just got programmed by her husband. The only way for her brain to breal through is with a shock. So I might sound bad but I hope that Tim does something really bad that can shock her and free her from his weight.
How is that an abusive relationship? Think about really hard and listen to that part again. No where does it say he hit her, raped her, or abused her. It only says he was accused of doing those things in the past, told to them by his ex wife, which who knows if she was telling the truth. All he is guilty of as far as we can tell, is not wanting to let her see her parents and not wanting to bend to their schedule because they refuse to come to the baby shower, despite everyone else agreeing to the time and location. And at the end, that just sounds like they were having a heated argument, again it does not say he hit her at all. It really sounds like to me that the parents just wanted to separate them because they don't like him.
@@Traditional_American bruv tim lives in a trailer smokes brags about shit he didnt do and is super posessive and manipulative. on top of even being accused of those other things that's an enormous red flag

@@Traditional_American it could be a mentally/emotionally abusive relationship. And the ex did give info that ended up being true (except the cousin fuckin part, no paperwork to verify that one) & the daughter verified that info & said she was aware. She didn't appear to be well adjusted, and she dug that hole herself, then refused to climb out, even when help was offered, so she might be genuinely happy
The first post immediately made me think of that video from ACTUALLY HAPPENED with the story about the boy thinking he was funny by lying about him not knowing what a potato was at the family dinner Edit: I know that story from actually happened isn't real, I'm just stating something I remembered lol chill
I think the first one is a joke, and I think the last one is very sad and appalling. "Tim" and people like him are the worst kind of people. Truly despicable.
In one askreddit thread about awkward experiences with in-laws, one guy wrote how he pretended not to know what a potato is, largely as joke. The father-in-law was not amused so the guy decided to go all the way for some. Father was pissed off, but Reddit loved it.
@@markomihajlovic7091 oh, well actually, I heard about that from "actually happened" not directly, but from someone else talking about the channel, and one of the examples was of this guy pretending to not know what potatoes were for a joke. I don't even understand the concept of just dating someone. To me, I need to find someone meaningful and good for each other and then it will be a serious relationship, couple-like. I don't like just dating. I don't even like the word dating, it's not precise at all and has different meanings for everyone.
@@thynisia396 Well, how are you going to find someone "meaningful and good" if you don't know anything about them? Point of dating is to get to know to each other, figure out if you want to be together and only then move to committed relationship, if you like each other. It would be rather radical to move in with someone at first meeting. You might end up like the last woman in the video, or the anime predator... Also, your last point applies to everything. One's utopia is another's dystopia. But dating is pretty universal in the West, at least how it seems from my language studies.
The sad irony of life is that for one moment of justice against a PoS like Tim, you'd probably end up doing time while that serial abuser and loophole slipper goes unscathed and continues his rampant destruction of other people's lives.
Well it hurt my head. No logic anywhere inside that woman's head as far as I could see, and she was stubborn as a mule to boot. Then again, deciphering what women think isn't my strongest suit.
mandavaler libtard destroyed with FACTS and LOGIC In all seriousness, you can’t ask for people to do that. Not everyone is an emotionless robot, and emotion is stronger than logic to the human mind.
Because it's what they want, and you've known the 22yo for years. Since I was 14, I have only had a single bf younger than 25 (age 16), and was still with his dad more often. Teenage boys/girls are gross af.
The logic is if they straight up banned it the 14 y/o would secretly keep in contact, and probably put herself in danger. If the parents allow the relationship however they can (as the story says) make sure she's never alone with him and in a short period prove to the daughter he's a creep and make her end the relationship.
Who cares. She got pregnant with an idiot and lives with him, and more than likely got disowned since she was kicked out while with a child. She got what she deserved
dude of course could have just said that the work stress will kill you, so i wont work. but selling drugs is not any better, just as stressful as doing work if not more.
Yall don't understand that if you separate them the girl will literally chase the dude. Let me guess if your 14yo was chasing a 20+yo dude you'd lock her in and give her house arrest, and then wonder a few months later why her belly got such a big bump? Kids are kids which means if you tell them "no they're an adult" and bring logic to the table, they're gonna do it JUST to make it a metaphorical slap in your face. The sister acted great and very calmly, as we see it worked
If it's an unhealthy relationship, sure. But if they're happy and treating each other well, there's no reason to intervene. When I was 15, my man was 28. My parents approved, and he's remained a long time family friend.
Well believe it or not but I chose to have an arrangement marriage when I got a good suitor that I saw and knew he had a reputation for being kind and it was the best thing to ever happen to me, I love him so much my heart could explode but again I had the first say in everything that was happening and I think that's why it went good.
i once on vacation became friends with a girl quite quickly i thought it would be funny if i told her mother with a super serious face that i didnt know what potatoes were but girlfriend, damn, that wouldve been a god damn record. weird joke, but weird mother XD
WAIT THE FIRST ONE. IM GONNA COPY PASTE A DIFFERENT STORY.. HOLD UP. Let me tell you that I have made a bad mistake this evening. My girlfriend (who let me tell you is only my 2nd girlfriend of all time) said I am "invited to dinner" with her and her parents. I was very aghast, nervous, and bashful to be invited to such a situation. But I knew it must be done. I met them nicely, I should tell you, and it started off in a good way. The idea slapped my mind that I should do a comic bit, to make a good impression and become known to them as a person who is amusing. When I saw that baked potatoes were served I got the idea that it would be very good if I pretended I did not know what potatoes was. That would be funny. Well let me tell you: backfired on my face. I'll tell you how. So first when the potato became on my plate, I acted very interesting. I showed an expression on my face so as to seem that I was confused, astounded but in a restrained way, curious, and interested. They did notice, and seemed confused, but did not remark. So I asked "This looks very interesting. What is this?" They stared at me and the mother said "It's a baked potato." And I was saying "Oh, interesting, a baked....what is it again?" And she was like "A potato." And I was like "A 'potato', oh interesting. Never heard of a potato, looks pretty good." And then they didn't see I was clowning, but thought I really did not know what is a potato. So I knew I would be very shamed, humiliated, depressed, and disgusted if I admitted to making a bad joke, so what I did was to act as if it was not a joke but I committed to the act of pretending I didn't know what a potato is. They asked me, VERY incredulous, did I really not know what a potato is? That I never heard of a potato. I went with it and told them, yes, I did not ever even hear of a potato. Not only had I never eaten a potato I had never heard the word potato. This went on for a bit and my girlfriend was acting very confused and embarrassed by my "fucked up antics", and then the more insistent I was about not knowing what a potato is was when them parents starting thinking I DID know what a potato was. Well let me tell you I had to commit 100% at this point. When I would not admit to knowing what a potato was, the father especially began to get annoyed. At one point he said something like "Enough is enough. You're fucking with us. Admit it." And I said "Sir, before today I never heard of a potato. I still don't know what a potato is, other than some kind of food. I don't know what to tell you." Well let me tell you he got very annoyed. I decided to take a bite of the potato, and when I did I made a high pitched noise and said "Taste's very strange!" That is when the father started yelling at me, and the mother kept saying "What are you doing?" and my girlfriend went to some other room. Finally the father said I should "Get the fuck out of his house" and I said it was irrational to treat me like this just because I never heard of a potato before. Well let me tell you he didn't take that kindly. Now in text messages I have been telling my girlfriend I really don't know what a potato is. The only way I can ever get out of this is for them to buy that I don't know what a potato is. I wish I never started it but I can't go back. I think she will break up with me anyway.
The one where the guy pretends that he doesn't know what potatoes are when he goes to his now former girlfriend's house for the first time. And her parents are like' is he stupid'. If I'm not wrong, the dudes dad was in on it too
Same here, after all what chick wants a 6 foot 6 tall dude interested in anime, gaming, movies, tv, reading, road trips and such. Yup chicks that want that don't exist.
Child protective services won't get involved without any actual evidence of abuse or neglect, but their previous history may give grounds for an investigation. It's still difficult because the parents would just deny any accusation regardless of previous criminal history if confronted. So it'd basically lead nowhere. Unless the children complain to an adult and testify against their parents, or if a cop sees the abuse, a doctor reports injuries as possible abuse, or someone records it and give it to the police, there won't be any evidence.
My sister is currently engaged to a boy (Early 20s) who lied about military service. Not only that, but about being injured while sniping on a rooftop, while in the Marines. He also lied about certification in Car Mechanics and Cosmetology. He lied about having his Master’s degree from MIT. And he “forgot” where he had done his undergrad. He completely isolated her from all her friends, except one. He has convinced her that they were “bad friends for her”, so she’s fine with it. She previously had a consistent job schedule, in a retail environment. She then switched to a job where she could take him with her, UberEats. He also would follow her to class at college. He would either go into the lectures with her, or sit outside the door. She is convinced she can’t stand being anywhere without him basically. She proposed to him earlier this year, and expects us to be happy about it. It’s a Star Wars wedding... I think she can do much better, and I think she’s linked this boy to her growing up as a person. So she thinks he’s responsible for her feeling more stable and such. When I think he’s really just making it worse. He has no job, and my parents and siblings don’t know what to do without her just leaving the family because we aren’t supportive. But there’s her “prize”.
Had to cut contact with a friend of mine because she didn't believe her SO was abusive and controlling. I wanted so badly to help her, but unless he was physically harming her. There wasn't much I could do
Prayers is nothing but wishful thinking. It doesn't 'help' anybody but yourself. It will only give you a false sense of self-worth and satisfaction without actually changing anything for the better. My mom dated an ex-con when I was about 14, they were both alcoholic drug addicts and encouraged me to do so with them. Though, my mom would put on a denial front anytime it came up in a rational conversation. Anyway, one day I come out to the living room and he's in a snowsuit and ski mask(it is winter). I ask him where he's going and he replies, "I'm going to rob a bank". I laughed it off because he would make jokes like that frequently. Mofo wasn't joking, and robbed the bank literally less than 2 mi away from our trailer, with my mom's car and an airsoft gun(orange tip removed) comes back with bags of money dripping in red dye, which my mother helped him bring into the house. I hadn't been paying much attention until later that night, I see them washing the money in the washing machine and putting it into this weird folder thing. I didn't confront them out of fear and disbelief but I went to school the next day, saw his photo in the paper, suited up in the garb I previously described, and told some teachers "I live with that guy." And also I told a girl, a couple years older than me, who road my bus, lived near by, and was training to be a police officer. Later that night I get picked up by an undercover cop and that girl for questioning, which was oddly vague, but the evidence was pretty clear. The next day, this dude bought my mom a brand new car, and was actually trying to convince me that he got an inheritance and that the red dye was just tranny fluid from the old shitty car. That night, I had a friend over, we were there alone, and mid-bong toke the police bang on the door to raid the house. That was a crazy week to say the least. Needless to say, he's behind bars again. I have a couple crazy stories about this guy. He was fucking nuts.

That last story makes me sick to the stomach, like every other average case of abuse
(I.e the person wants to leave, but when people come to take her away she is too attached to him, and doesn’t go, and stays. One day she will leave though, or die trying, or even worse, die without trying, but it’s strictly limited to those)
Edit: Thanks for the likes!
@@Traditional_American youre joking right? you literally ignored the phone smashing, the threats, and her being terrified of him enough to call her parents and also contact a neighbor to drive her away? the way you replied makes it sound like YOU are an abuser in an abusive relationship
@@Traditional_American it could be a mentally/emotionally abusive relationship. And the ex did give info that ended up being true (except the cousin fuckin part, no paperwork to verify that one) & the daughter verified that info & said she was aware.
Having said that, it does look like the parents don't like him & want them to break up, and based on what they said, her actions b4 she got with Tim, seem to indicate she had some emotional or perhaps behavioral issues. She didn't appear to be well adjusted, and she dug that hole herself, then refused to climb out, even when help was offered, so she might be genuinely happy

First one was definitely a reference to another askreddit thread

But dating is pretty universal in the West, at least how it seems from my language studies.

oh yeah btw that story was stolen from some subreddit
as in the one you guys are probs talkin bout (the ACTUALLY HAPPENED one)
What is this?"
They stared at me and the mother said "It's a baked potato." And I was saying "Oh, interesting, a baked....what is it again?"
And she was like "A potato."
And I was like "A 'potato', oh interesting. Never heard of a potato, looks pretty good."
And then they didn't see I was clowning, but thought I really did not know what is a potato.
I don't know what to tell you."
Well let me tell you he got very annoyed. I decided to take a bite of the potato, and when I did I made a high pitched noise and said "Taste's very strange!"
That is when the father started yelling at me, and the mother kept saying "What are you doing?" and my girlfriend went to some other room.

Oranges Are Blue I have no clue what it stands for cause i never asked my dad but im pretty sure the person in the military leaves off to another place to get schooling or training, it usually lasts about 2-4 weeks
Some of these are definately r/entitledparents in the making
Not dating but a classmate didn’t know we nuked japan in ww2
How?!
That's actually not uncommon, lol. That's why the country is so messed up. The old saying, "If you don't know history, it will repeat itself" is so true.
@@lexianonymous7690 don't nuke Japan again! That's where all the good shit comes from! If you don't draw your own... did I say to much?
“kid made me think he didn’t know what a potato was”
I’ve heard every side of the story in this incident LMAO
Honestly, I feel like with some of these people you just gotta bait them to a lake and drown them. It's for the greater good, right?
0:04 hey, I know what that's referencing
5:20 why would the dad do that all for a girl friend's friend?
i know. "son dated a girl who said she had a friend who needed a ride to the prom. i agreed"
....WhY?
i just hope it wasnt because the father had a crush on the girl, too. yuck.
I'm dumb but I can guess I'm going to be on this list alot
That first one is an reference from a youtube channel named ACTUALLYHAPPENED is a video about a guy who tryed to prank his gfs family that he doesn't know what a potato was
My mom dated an ex-con when I was about 14, they were both alcoholic drug addicts and encouraged me to do so with them.
