Celebrate the birthday of one of the founders of the EU, Robert Schuman! 🇪🇺🎉

On this day in 1886, the former president of the European Parliament was born in Luxembourg. He later became a French citizen and was a key participant in the resistance during WWII.
After the war, Schuman dedicated his life to politics with the goal of promoting peace and unity across Europe. His declaration on 9 May 1950 laid the foundations for the birth of the EU.
