yeah... this video has been done a million times. i avoided watching anything on the game so i could keep my thoughts as my own, but it also meant that i didn't know about how everyone has the exact same opinion lmao. talk about doing that thing to the horse... yk what im talking about

This game was a little undercooked and fumbled compared to the first, but I still enjoyed it. I am a little worried about the future third game... I really dont see what else they can add especially in terms of traversal and combat. It's already getting stale
definitely for spider-man 3 they should really try and go against the formula they’ve already established with the first 3 games
I’m guessing you didn’t see the leaks lol, they were gonna have breakable environments, car crimes weren’t just gonna be buttons presses but actual combat, they can so much to the 3rd game that the 2nd didn’t, especially like web of shadows, maybe actually add some combos in there that do cool things
my biggest problem with story games is the emptiness when you finish the story or 100% the game you just sit there thinking "what do I do now? do I play another game? do I play it again?"
Thats kind of the point to experience the story thats all
some games offer replayability value in their traversal / combat which still allows you to have fun when there is nothing to do. all you need is some imagination to mess around a bit. or just play something else 😂

Some games have replay value because the point of them are gameplay, Spider-man 2 and SONY games in general are just stories and the gameplay becomes stale

To be fair, people would've been pissed if the movie suits weren't included at launch. Remember that Raimi suit fiasco that escalated to death threats sent to the devs? But there are definitely way too many Tom Holland suits. Why do we have the Homecoming pajamas, ugly black & gold suit, and not a single one of the Spider-Armors from the first game?
they could make harry as agent venom as it is and go for the story as peter took the sympiot and all.. but when he get rid of it it could be better if it bonded with norman himself not harry. in addition of being dying and norman know spiderman took the sympiote from him and he is the reason of making harry reach a high level of his illness, that makes him hating spiderman more with the sympiote that hating him as will, then he give his son that serum which is final attemp to make him better. but spiderman kill norman in the sympiote fight at the same time harry turns into green goblin and will try to avenge the death of his father from spiderman which already he know he is peter from earlier in the story which will be continued in the third game

Tbh the side missions weren’t really worth playing so i just played the story an when i finished the campaign in like a day or two i just replayed the other game
It’s pretty clear they got rushed by Sony and cut stuff out and just used quick cheap things to get it done. The leak of Venom & Spiderman fighting through the city and breaking buildings and things was so amazing. I think there doing this for the DLC’s which is why it’s taking so long, they would have said they weren’t doing it by now. I’m my guess is maybe next month they announce it towards the Venom movie
Spider-Man 3 for all its faults at least understood what the symboite was. The movie has Peter being consumed with pride and ego without the venom. So once he went through that transformation, it just enhanced what was already apart of Peter’s character
This game includes cool story arcs that seem like it was going to be epic. But the story was just…ok. The pacing and the way how they handled the story just felt underwhelming. The biggest letdown was the Symbiote Arc imo
one of if not my biggest gripe with the game is how undercooked this game feels. Features and mechanics that were in previous spider-man games not be included is especially considering how powerful the ps5 is. For instance the running on the ground if you swing too low as you mentioned but also very basic things like being able to crawl on walls. why in a 2024 on a ps5 can’t i crawl from a vertical wall to a ceiling. that’s utterly ridiculous. even worse that i can’t even crawl around buildings corner because it has a slight bump and not a perfectly flat surface (even then it doesn’t always work). learning the news about how this was rushed and stuff makes sense but it just makes me want the game that was “promised”.
For me I wish they did Peter’s gameplay different, I feel like they just took what miles had and gave Pete these abilities, which are cool but I wish Peter had his gadgets plus more to separate him from miles, they made Peter keep up with miles instead of making him different and making them feel like there own respective spider man.
My biggest let down were the spider arms, 4 lousy special moves, u cant even fight with them like u could in the first game
The problem with part 2 they made Peter have less storyline in his own game
And somehow nobody’s complaining about how symbiot changed peter’s attitude to literally everyone except yuri
Yuri Watanabe's side story was never intended to occur around the same time Peter loses his grip. Just to make it a bit easier to develop.

They took the combat missions with the waves where you can just fight a bunch of enemies…biggest disappointment for me personally
I thought Spider-Man 2 was much more of the same, being more of the same doesn't mean it's bad, but I wish they had brought several innovations and evolved with the utmost power,The game looks more like a DLC for the first game than a new game, as a game is exclusive only to the PS5 I expected much more, not only in the technical and mechanical aspects but also in the content, in addition to that I also didn't like the story, the The story has a terrible script and there are several aspects that are terrible, especially what they did to Peter Parker who was treated like trash throughout the campaign and the game is full of "woke" and ideological agendas, it's not a bad game but it remains a disappointment
I got it 3 days ago (25/09/2024) and I already played 11 hours and I finished the scene where I fight Peter for the venom

I’m a Spider-Man fanatic and I loved 2018 and Miles Morales. When I think back to Spider-Man 2, I often look back with disappointment. It should have been a lot better.
The Arkham games were dethroned when Spider-Man 2018 came out.

My biggest gripe with direct sequels is when they don't keep the originals stuff (gadgets in this case) without good reason. why would Peter have less gadgets, why wouldn't Miles have more gadgets If they're working together then they should actually have more similar gadgets though I understand miles having less because he has the Venom power set in this game. But I don't think that either of them should have their power sets dampened to accommodate the new things. If the new things do too much to the point where you have to get rid of the old things for no reason then are the new things really worth it? My opinion not really.
and also when we have to relearn skills that the character should already have learnt in the first game, like the point launch. it’s about consistency
