Such a pity move from Nintendo
Easily in the top ten dunkey videos of all time
Not playing any more nintendo games is a good idea though. Fuck that company.
That is a terrible idea because zelda mario metroid kirby liquid-snake
Oh yeah well Palworld is now shutting down Nintendo. Now what.
The thing is, it IS about the precedent. If you start copyrighting mechanics of a game suddenly scenas a faire goes out the window and you have a monopoloy on X type of game which hurts the industry as a whole. Gamefreak churned out half hearted unfinished stuff you criticised on your own channel then suddenly theres a new competitor, but since its Nintendo they're up against all bets are off?
Lol you think once a company has a patent, nobody else can use it? Try doing a tiny bit of research before you comment on legal matter
Is this drama-Saturday?!
Palworld is a direct copy of super Mario world, because it has world in the title
Yes, you can't copyright a genre or mechanics. Minimum changes are required to make it "new".
Nintendo is just mad that they have to put effort into their non-Mario and non-Zelda products now
Boycott Nintendo! Send them back to the Wii U era!
Oof, man that Smash Bros tournament shit was foul. Ok with Palworld you can at least gey the WHY. But Smash tourneys felt like it was out of sheer spite
not really if you read up on how badly run the tournaments are, and character of the people running these tournaments at the top of the smash scene. Nintendo would be very incentivized to curb these things before they got really out of hand, and is why they don't want to directly cooperate with the smash scene becauase they usually destroy any progress they make to becoming more professional by themselves.
@@queuedjar4578what exactly is wrong with the way melee tournaments are being run? I ask out of pure curiosity
@@imsh1shlikely the frankly absurd number of sexual misconduct issues tied to the Smash scene. Can't speak about them on RUclips but just google it
Dunkey why youre lying? theyre not suing for monster designs theyre suing for trapping mechanics
I don't care about Palworld, but... ya, legal precedent actually does matter. A lot. It's essentially going to dictate how all games are designed going forward because of *how* Nintendo is suing Palworld (using patent law)
Not everyone needs to be on the frontlines of this, but going out of your way to downplay the importance because you legit don't understand it is just kinda stupid Dunk, I love ya, but jeez.
You're saying it's a bad precedent to protect your IP?
And you're saying _he_ doesn't understand what he's talking about?
@@Leto_0What a trashy way to "protect" your ip by doing sketchy patents that are so close to being illegal.
I think Donkey Kong is making fun of how much of a ripoff this game actually is.
YES YES YES finally! the end of palword and their stealing and use of ai is over, YES YES YES thank you Nintendo ❤️❤️❤️
isn’t Nintendo suing them over patent rights not copyright? I heard it was because they used game mechanics like capturing animals with balls which is apparently a game mechanic patented by Nintendo.
Still dumb but not quite the same thing.
I hope that Palworld becomes abandonware and millions of gamers will play a fresh and fun pocket monster game instead another crappy Game Freak game.
