Brand new to ProPresenter. I've avoided church media for the last 45 years of ministry but now I am the lead pastor of a small church in Montana and peppers, I am the media person as well. Fortunately I was a computer Network Administrator for over 20 years while still in ministry so I kinda know my way around a computer. Thanks for your video, excellent start.

There are 3 ways to work with .ppt files in Pro7. You could drag the .ppt into Pro7, I've never had success with that and I'm not sure the transitions will stay. Second idea is to record the .ppt as a video as you click through it.This will keep transitions but not be a great way to play it back. The 3rd idea is to do what I normally do, Scrap the transitions and export the entire .ppt as Jpeg images then drag those into Pro7. -Nathan
I'm thinking about using Propresenter for church, and this may be a stupid question, but where do i get the music files for the presentations? Is there a proprietary website to download the music files from, or do I need to buy the songs that I want to use from an outside source? I really don't know much about Propresenter, as of yet, so any information would be helpful. Right now, I'm using RUclips videos, but the quality of the videos is sometimes suspect. The sound and visual quality varies so much that it is difficult to find what I am looking for. I would like to have the songs downloaded to my computer so that the presentation is not dependent upon the quality and availability of an internet connection. My church is in a location that has questionable internet access.
Hi, When you say Music Files, I assume you mean the song lyric slides. I encourage you to watch this video I put together to help explain song setup. SongSelect is the best way to import songs into ProPresenter. You can also copy and paste song lyrics from the internet. ruclips.net/video/D3u3dHVl3yc/видео.html Downloading RUclips Songs technically goes against the RUclips Terms of Service Agreement. There are websites that you can buy and download Worship Videos to sing along with. I would recommend purchasing song files from MultiTracks.com and then do what I did in this video to make your own videos. playback the audio in ProPresenter with the Timeline feature, and click through Lyric slides and add your own background graphics. You can even record the output and save it as a video for the future. ruclips.net/video/HCxELt6N9ic/видео.html -Nathan Robb
Do you also import from SongSelect? and Is there a theme setting for lyrics that will place them in two separate places on the screen, ie. two lines at top, blank in center, two lines at bottom? OR is this a format I'll have to do manually on each slide?
I don’t use SongSelect, but I do use Planning Center and then I copy the playlist from Planning a center into Pro7. As for the Themes question, you need to setup “Looks” that have unique “Themes” sending outputs are sending the proper Themes.
Hey Nathan! Thank you for this video! I’m super new to ProPresenter, and its been very helpful. I still have a question on it though - how do I display my presentation on my projector while keeping the original display on my monitor? Ive tried fiddling around with the audience screens, but I cant get it to work. Thank you so much!
I feel so bad I just found this comment, I'm sure you are a professional by now. You need to extend your screen from within the Mac or PC operating system.

I appreciate your efforts in making this tutorial, however, this is not an "absolute basics" tutorial. I don't know how to make a slide. I primarily make Sermon Slides with Major Points and Scriptures. This tutorial doesn't teach me how to do that, it is more of a "in-the-middle" tutorial where you start with stuff that already exists. It was suggested to me that when I bring my slides to church that I make Pro Presenter presentations rather than PowerPoint or Google Slides. So I bought Pro Presenter in order to do that and then email the Presentation to the church. Perhaps you can suggest to me a video that will take me step by step, starting with a blank screen with no libraries and no playlists and no slides, and help me learn how to create a presentation form scratch, as if I just downloaded and installed the application. That is what I need. I'll continue looking through your playlist to see if I can find what I need. Thanks.
Hi Randy, Yes I do have other videos on topics such as creating Song Slides, Sermon Notes, as well as how to setup Screens and such.
