My twin also has had similar reactions to her tattoos, but more funny. She also has a brain injury, and she’s very short, has a small head, and acts a bit childish (she also stumbles a lot which I think comes across as “young” to some people). She has a BIG tattoo on the back of her head where hair doesn’t grow anymore and have had kids come up to her and ask “did your mom say you were allowed to get a tattoo!?” and older people asking her in worry how old she is while looking at her tattoo.
Her best response is “I’m older than I look.” Lol! Now that she’s over 30 she’s getting a few aging signs, and she shares fashion taste with our 70+ year old mother… so she looks like a small lady and doesn’t get it as much anymore. Kind of funny though.
(We shocking people about being twins because I’m 5’11 and she’s 5’0 😂)

Story 6 kinda got to me xD
I didn't have a karen like that, but I also seem to look way younger than I am.
I'm also 29 (gonna turn 30 later this year) and at the moment I'm a part time worker in a super market (I study, that's why) and I had talks with colleagues.
One colleague (kinda my boss you could say... Or is it foreworker? I'm not sure. Not my first language, so I may not have the right word) and we talked a bit and then he asked how old I am and that he though I was about 25/26, cause I actually sounded like I've been through a bit in life at this point (he put it in a nice way though) and another colleague also wanted to guess my age. He then asked me and I answered and he was like: "I've though you were like 18/19" and I actually stared at him a bit shocked.
At the age of 21 I found a 16 year old on a convention who guessed me to be her age but later adjusted it to 18 because I told her I was with my car and in germany you can only drive alone starting with 18. But that's YEARS ago.
So having someone drop the number, made me a bit shocked. In a positive way though... And I tried to make sure he knows I didn't take offense and that I'm just a bit taken aback by actually hearing the number, cause mostly people would say "Oh, would have guessed you younger!"
And I'm still not over it xD
I am quite childish if I have the chance and I wanna keep that for a long time - life is too short to be adult all the time. I'm gonna let my curious and silly childish side out as much as I can~
But I also remembered a Karen at our store. It was exhausting. I was at the register and a young man had quite a big grocery shopping (probably for a whole group to have a barbecue party or something along that) and he had a lot of cheese parts. And I didn't realize I needed every single one of them, cause they had diffrent weight and therefore diffrent prices. AND our shop gives a discount on food that's gonna expire the same day or tomorrow and that guy took like ALL the nearly expired stuff (I would too, knowing that get together is gonna be in the evening or tomorrow or something like that. Saves money~) so it did take a lot of time, cause I needed to tip in the discount myself for every. Single. Cheese. And I think there was also something else that didn't go as planned...
And as a german - we don't do much small talk at the register and we are efficient and it bothers us a lot if it takes long. A diffrent thing are elderly. They somehow grow out of the "omg, the whole line is waiting just for me, I don't wanna have them all wait just because of me" - they are quite relaxed.
But the man who had his grocery next in line wasn't really relaxed at all and sighed and even said out loud something along the line how I'm not able to do this faster and complained as something didn't go as planned and I needed a bit more time.
I work there since march. It was somewhere in the middle of april or maybe start of april.
And I already noticed I'm actually quite fast (if nothing unexpected happens) so it was really uncalled for. The young man had a lot of empathy for me and those behind that guy actually looked a bit annoyed as he couldn't contain himself.
At 29 you had your share and won't let people run over you like you would at 20 or so, but I did stop myself feom saying anything, thinking that could result in something I don't want to handle (I was really shortly before telling him that he should take my seat and do this job if he thinks he would be so much faster than me). And I was SOOOO happy that the young man I was handling at the moment didn't get snarly or personal or so, but just told that man in a cultured way, that he can't understand how a grown man could be so mean to such a nice young lady who just tries her best to do the job right. No swearing, no calling names. Simple disappointment toward that snarly guy. And he said thank you and wished me a beautiful day and it really made my day.
And I thought to myself: If I were really like 10 years younger, I would have taken that shit to heart and had a really shitty day afterwards. That guy was just mean. He didn't even was under pressure as it seemed, he was just annoyed, that I had to take a lot more time to cash up the person before him, than he would have liked.
If I wouldn't have worked that day and though about how barking back at that moment would fire back at me, I would probably ask that guy if he thinks he would do a way better job and why he isn't doing it himself.
As you age you get a lot more grip and you don't take things like you do years ago. I'm actually quite happy I only started there that late. Everything else would have nagged at my psyche quite hard.
And I kinda wonder what they guessed my age was xD

Story 3 made me laugh a little, when the Karen said, “But my daughter needs it!”
I have a bratty little cousin who does the same thing whenever they want something or are jealous of something their siblings have. They’ll run up to their mom crying and when she says no they’ll cry, “But mama I *need* it!”
Thankfully the kid’s starting to grow out of this behavior. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same for Karen.

One time I was in a Walmart and I was wearing something that had cutoff shoulders and it showed both of my tattoos. I had a woman ask me about them and I told them about my tattoos (I have two, one is a heart paw print that was part of a fundraiser for my hometowns Humane Society and the other is a heart with a ribbon with the birthdate and death date of my grandmother that was also part of a fundraiser for people traveling through a town I used to live in) they then say, verbatim, "Aww, that's so sweet. I do that passive aggressive talking about them while they're in ear shot when they're Karens. It works, too. It reminds them 'oh crap, other people are watching me act this way,' and they shut up. One lady skipped the line I was in at the store to scream at the manager because she didn't want to wait in line like everyone else, and I loudly said to the person in line in front of me 'imagine being a grown adult behaving like a toddler in public and screaming at the people who are trying to help you get your item even though you skipped a line of ten or more people.' She was suddenly aware that she had a crowd of people giving her death glares.

The tattoo story reminds me of one that happened at the gas station I work at. Very nice regular customer who has a few tats was wearing a sundress that showed them off on her arms and shoulders. I could see an older woman behind her in line with a sour look, but bc they hadn't interacted at all, I thought she going to throw a fit about something else and I was in for an earful. No, as soon as the regular left, lady accused her of being rude, and when I asked what she'd said to her she said nothing but "She's showing off those AWFUL tattoos to the whole world!" At least she had enough shame to get embarrassed when I told her they weren't hurting anyone, and no one made her stare at them.

Had a customer thrust our price matching policy at me that she had printed out at home, then another printout for an expensive item that was discounted at an online store. Our policy is that we’ll beat the competition by ten percent. I read out the policy noting that we do not price match with online stores and was told that they did have a bricks and mortar store but were not open on a Sunday, so I read out the section that states we have to be able to call the other store to confirm the price. Then I read out the part of the policy that stated that we do not price match discounted sale prices.
Customer snapped that now I was just making things up, handing her back the print out and said it was all on there on the paper she had given me. As I did so I noticed the last line that stated sewing machines were not included.
Manager had seen the customer angrily storm out so demanded to know what happened and told me that I should have just called her to sell the item for the price so she was going to write me up for it. I pointed out that the item, our most expensive sewing machine was already heavily discounted and the extra ten percent would bring it under cost. Her eyes widened as she realised I had saved her job as it would have to be her name on the sale and it was an on the spot fireable offence.

@ZenoSsj4Hero As most American Karens do, they peaked in high school and still have that mentality that what they say and do matters to anyone else.

Last story: pretty sure that woman was the Karen in the story. If it were written the other way, by the tennis skirt ladies, everyone would agree she was the Karen. Taking the fruit out of their cart was totally uncalled for.

I usually have sympathy towards all OPs harrased by Karens, but this time I don't understand: the sweater situation (before stealing) was the same as fruit ladies situations and somehow the sweater lady is Karen when fruit OP isn't? I don't see the logic. The ladies might have needed all those fruits just like first OP needed their sweater.

Because she was reaching for it when the lady took the entire stock out from under her, and the lady hadn't paid for it when op took it
