Bloodstained and Castlevania exist in seperate universes, so no, Johannes isn't the ansestor of Albus. Heck, I'm pretty sure even if Bloodstained was canon to Castlevania Bloodstained takes at least 100 years after OoE. OeE takes place in the late 1600s/early 1700s while Bloodstained RotN takes place in the 1800s. Timeline wise OoE takes place between Symphony of the Night and Bloodlines, but if you include the semi canon games it takes place between Circle of the Moon and Castlevania Legacy of Darkness. The timeline goes like this: Harmony of Innocence, -> Dracula's Curse -> Curse of Darkness -> Adventure -> Belmont's Revenge -> Castlevania 1 -> Simon's Quest -> Harmony of Dissonance -> Rondo of Blood -> Symphony of the Night -> Order of Ecclesia and Circle of the Moon -> Legacy of Darkness -> Castlevania 64 -> Bram Stoker's Dracula -> Bloodlines -> Portrait of Ruin -> 1999 (cancelled) -> Aria of Sorrow -> Dawn of Sorrow.

I honestly hope that there is another true ending lying around because the ending was beyond anti-climatic and the final boss fight...that was underwhelming. I expected more from one of the Demon Kings especially when I’m expected to believe that wannabe Weeaboo Woman dressed like a maid is meant to be the real villain. Bit of a slow start for the franchise, Curse of the Moon had a better true final boss (Corrupted Zangetsu was awesome.) Dominique being the real villain is pretty lame
Jacob Miller You don’t kill Gebel like you don’t kill Richard in SOTN. You unlock the true ending by slicing the moon in half behind Gebel and Gremory was revealed to be controlling him. However even the true ending is meh which is what I described. In the true ending you beat a few more bosses and then it’s revealed that Dominique was the main villain all along who seeks to resurrect Bael, one of the demon kings. You fight them both at the end but...it’s still underwhelming. The whole ending feels rushed, the main villain is lamer than the false one and less emotionally connected to the overall story. Bael ends up being basically Chaos from Aria of Sorrow. I felt like there should’ve been more, a third phase, a more epic final victory, something regarding Zangetsu’s fate and the fate of Gebel and Alfred. I don’t like the ending of this game which is a shame because it is a good game but the final half-hour is underwhelming and I felt it could’ve benefitted from another true ending where you can save the main trio (Gebel, Zangetsu and Alfred) and then all fight together against Bael (after Dominique is dead and fucked off since she’s a horrible villain) and Gebel sacrifices himself then to stop Bael after defeating him, allowing Gebel to redeem his character and closing his arc neatly.
@@jacobmiller6916 That's the bad ending. A lot of games have those, and you have to do certain things to unlock the good ending which greatly expands the length of the game. You need to explore the castle more and do more things before you can get the good ending. The order of things is this: 1: Defeat Bloodless and get Blood Drain 2: Go to the castle entrance in the room with the blood fountain. 3: Use blood drain on the fountain to unlock new areas. 4: Enter the fire area. 5: Defeat the fire skeleton horse boss and get the gravity switch ability. 6: Make your way to the oriental gardens area using gravity switch. 7: Defeat Zangetsu for the second time and obtain his sword the Zangetsuto. 8: Fight Gebel with the Zangetsuto equipped and reduce him to low HP. 8: When the background changes and the moon starts glowing, slash the moon with the Zangetsuto to end the fight and trigger a cutscene which will continue the story. 7: Go to the room above the place where you first fought Zangetsu in the garden of madness and slash the red moon in the background with his sword to gain access to the portal to the final areas and true final boss and ending. Hope this helped!
And is also a completely different genere, like comparing castlevania 1 with Symphony of the night... But why Should you be clever about it? Go! Start rampaging on reddito!
The Curse of the Moon battles are more methodical, while the Ritual ones are more about reflexes and stuff. I really prefer the fast-paced Ritual boss battles.
@@Thirteen13551355 In the "8bit" one they could design any boss battle designing how many attacks the boss could take, because there is no "scaling" to define and the attacks where predefined by default since the characters only had defined types of attacks. This meant that in every fight they had absolute control on how the player could fight. In this, instead, they could not, as every player that does not use a guide or know yet how to optimize a character will have different level and abilities. This meant that the bosses (and every enemy) had to be designed in a way that a wide variety of playstyles and setups could fight and possibily win the fight. This also meant that they could not design the boss fights with a defined way to have "better" fights, as the devs of the 8bit one could do, because a lvl1 player would take 10 attacks to deal the damage of a 10lvl player can deal in 3 attacks. So they HAD to structure the fights less scripted. Then of course there are some limitations from the structure of the gameplay and tech used in the game, one being on a very simplistic retro-style 2d and the other being on a 3d engine.
I just can't shake the feeling that Curse of the Moon boss battles are superior than Ritual of the Night. The CotM bosses have several phases of attack set, have more visually pleasing all screen attack that the player has to dodge, and most important for me is the desperation attack. It makes the bosses' final moment more menacing and glorious than just becoming crystal and crumble.
Poor Andrealphus, In CotM your attacks are more deadly, your kick spawns columns of thunder, your feather summons lightning. And your final moment where you become one with one gigantic sphere of light, that was...breathtaking. But look at you now, become a crystal and crumble like ash...
That was almost poetic. Another example for Andrealphus is that in CoTM, you can see his majesty and unrelenting pursuit to your character by his barrage of attacks, he never falls nor trips. But in here, he falls to his butt in the introduction and after jumps, picks himself up after attacks, clumsily runs around, and runs away from Miriam. CoTM Andrealphus went out in a blaze of glory, but this one just merely submits to fall to dust.

Just make a lot of food. Once you have made a food you can buy it in the shop for much less than potions and you can hold more than 9 of them at once. They also give you significant stat boosts every time you eat one for the first time. Keep making new foods and eventually you'll find something that will heal you a lot. Buy as many of those as you can and pause the game when you're low on HP heal up to full and continue the fight. With that you can easily beat any challenge this game has. Also, I recommend crafting the ultimate weapon of your favorite type, and using that as they're super strong and a huge help. Or you could just craft the Crissigrim and solo everything. (It's called something different in this game IDK what. It's like "Raj Buhal" or something lol)

That's a miniboss or a rare enemy, not a boss. The trick to him is to simply not get hit, as it's basically a death sentence. Instead, run away from him to a place where he can't reach you and spam shards that can hit him from there.

That's not the actual damage, she's wearing "gauge goggles" that allows you to see enemies hp, so it's showing the total amount of hp until it drains to 0

@@krimsonkatt @KrimsonKatt so youre saying I have it backwards? Miriam is a descendant of Shanoa eh? Ill buy it. Also, if Dracula has all those aliases and his castle can change shape/travel dimensions, pretty sure we know whose couches Miriam is actually sitting on.
¨Dimension shift! Answer my call!
That last boss took ages to kill
Some of the weirdest looking bosses ever in a metroidvania game
Ahh finally a game that looks like Castlevania but no fcking dracula as main theme but instead a legit demon!!
aria and dawn of sorrow both had demons as the final bosses instead of dracula though.
@@aliciafraser1835 not the final boss but the story, the story is alway about dracula or vamps but here its legit demon...and not bats.
@@sanctifiedantagonist1565 I mean, soma's technically not a vampire in aria and dawn, he just inherits the powers of one, basically becoming a demon himself. Also there are quite a few vampires in Bloodstained, OD being one of them, and I'd argue they're more prominant, and difficult then the non vampire bosses.
I'm confused I'm gonna guess you weren't supposed to kill gebel because after the gebel boss fight you get a game over
Yeah I think that's how it works like a bad ending
Because he says next time obey
The order of things is this:
1: Defeat Bloodless and get Blood Drain
2: Go to the castle entrance in the room with the blood fountain.
What do the enochian runes that float around Warhorse say?
is it a castlevania pun?
It is a reference to the runes in symphony of the night doppelganger room.
the battles against some 8-bit bosses are more memorable than the 3D version, and these bosses seem to be weaker and less fun
And is also a completely different genere, like comparing castlevania 1 with Symphony of the night...
But why Should you be clever about it? Go! Start rampaging on reddito!
I kind of agree unfortunately... but I’m still satisfied to see them in 3D rendering
The Curse of the Moon battles are more methodical, while the Ritual ones are more about reflexes and stuff. I really prefer the fast-paced Ritual boss battles.
@@Thirteen13551355
In the "8bit" one they could design any boss battle designing how many attacks the boss could take, because there is no "scaling" to define and the attacks where predefined by default since the characters only had defined types of attacks.
@@1r0zz Precisely.
4:25 ...snake? SSNNNNAAAAAAKKKEEEE?!?!
i love this game, so awesome!
Poor Andrealphus,
In CotM your attacks are more deadly, your kick spawns columns of thunder, your feather summons lightning.
There is a secret boss when you enter Gebel's boss room for a second time late into the game, has anyone beaten that boss? Seems impossible
IGA?
Did they turn Bloodstained: Curse of The Moon into this, or the other way around? Because the bosses are the exact same
Curse of the Moon is a spin-off, it was a sretch goal for this game's kickstarter, this is the main game and the main storyline.
you can only have one special ability equiped in this game? it should be called Bloodstained: Spam of the Shovel Knight 🙄
AomiN well one magic ability for each shard which there are 5 of.
I'm interested in this! ... Just sayin'.
O.D. its u... In this game
Sooooo I’m getting a Castlevania vibe here
Made by the former director of the series, done entirely to create a new castlevania game and perhaps spite Konami. Even old snake VA is here too, as a great big "FU, Konami!"
All around me are familiar voice actors
Your a winner.
Not Castlevania, Symphony Of The Night, couldn't be.

Shovel Knight > Castlevania
You seem to have missed the slot machine boss.
worst part of this game is that bosses dont have health bars, that sucks
where is Kamen Rider Kiva when you need him?
Well yes KIVA is really suitable for the settings
well i find a secret boss after u fight gabel and use zangetsugo u back there and u fight a vampire invincible boss have u guys find out how defeat this?
Hearing David Hayters voice 😍
So...after the 1.02 update was installed, a lot of the chests in my game got refilled, but other chests that I hadn't opened yet were emptied.
...including the chest after those two asshole dragons who wouldn't f--k'n die. (Valac)
So no Silver Bromide for me.
...Do I have to start the game over?
Where is the "Doppleganger" boss located? What area?
In a laboratory off to the side of the castle. There's like 3 if them, and all 3 are required to beat the game. (true ending)
Wow, even alucard (O.D) has the power of "the world"
He even throws knives at you
Whoa whoa whoa. Is this castlevania? Cuz the pattern are same like that
It's called a metroidvania for a reason
It's a spiritual successor made by IGA, the creator of Symphony of the Night/Aria of Sorrow/etc
i have the Cartridge of this game but i cant play this because i have no time for it but this boss fights want me to play it
Doesn't have the one when you fall asleep on the train? He's destroying me and I'm not even sure how lols.
That's a miniboss or a rare enemy, not a boss. The trick to him is to simply not get hit, as it's basically a death sentence. Instead, run away from him to a place where he can't reach you and spam shards that can hit him from there.
Andrealphus reminds me of Cyber Peacock from X4.
can someone explain, i dont undestand, killed gebel and wtf i supposed to do now? the game said it was the end but i didnt killed half of these bosses.

Why are his shovel knights doing so much damage? Mine are maxed out and don't do nearly as much
That's not the actual damage, she's wearing "gauge goggles" that allows you to see enemies hp, so it's showing the total amount of hp until it drains to 0
Infinity_End I realize, but the damage is also off the charts. In the O.D. fight he’s doing hundreds of damage. Do the shards scale off of attack power?
@@flayandpray5129 as he says he is no doing hundreds of damage, the boss shows how much hp they have left.
@@gabrielst527 I know what the guage goggles do and no, he is still doing hundreds of damage. Look at the O.D. fight. I realize now that he had a ridiculous weapon for the fight, but his shovel knights are doing around 47 per hit, and they hit multiple times. My shard is maxed out and only did about 17 per hit to O.D.
Abyssal guardian - zombie dragon from Circle of the moon ?
Let me ask... Were the character of Curse of the moon become evil or something?
No IGA?
did OD is just... Dio?
ZA WARUDO!!!

ZA-WARUDO!
The boss is called Kraftwork/Kraftwerk ? Reminds me of Jojo.
Castlevania is very jojo-inspired in general, especially post-SotN.
This is literally castlevania, why put other name on it?
Cause Konami owns the rights to use the Castlevania, while the studio behind this doesn't. The original director of the castlevania games is behind this, but since Konami's a cunt of a company focusing on pachinko parlors, they don't make games anymore, and if they do, they're usually soulless and only purpose is to help Konami profit.
Bathin sounded like mark hamill to me a little bit
Is that Ciri voicing Miriam?
I wish I could see their HP
What difficulty??
Where is the creator boss fight?
