I have a hire of the camera arriving this week with a view to purchasing. The video is excellent by far the best inhave seen. It will help with initial set up and save a lot of time. I use Fuji XT3 and looking for something much smaller as a carry round hence the hire . Thank you for sharing
YOU should actually write the manual! As confusing as the written manual is, as CLEAR is this video, thanks for enlightening some of unclear remains I had with my X-E4! Your personal suggestions add up to the quality of this fantastic video! 🙏🏻
Thanks for this profound video 🙏🏻 I have to re-customise my XE4 after I've set it back to factory settings and being completely let down by Fujis XAcquire software not restoring from my regularly done backups 😤 it just said "backup data load error" 🤬 Now I have to customise everything again from scratch... 🙄 I don't know what the issue was or is, I will test it now with a few customised setting, then doing a backup, resetting the camera and restoring via XAcquire again. If all fails again, I will try to do a backup with the new XApp Any other advice? I'm on a Mac (Monterey, soon Ventura, definitely not Sonoma) latest firmware on the XE4 and latest version XAcquire... Thanks 🙏🏻

Hi Rakan, You can magnify the image by pressing on the joystick (When using manual focus). However you cannot change the magnification. Thanks for the comment !
One question: at 04:09 choosing the size (and other AF modes) my front command dial doesn't change the size of the focus area (the joystick moves it though perfectly well) where is the setting for the front wheel hidden to allow that? I'm lost 🤷🏻♂️ Thanks EDIT: found it! To change the AF modes I have PRESS the joystick first then I can work with the front command dial! My bad 🙈
When is Fuji going to give us an update dealing with the LCD rotation problem ? It's so freaking annoying when you try to shoot at waist level and the LCD keeps flipping upside down 🤬🤬🤬
2 years later, and we still have no firmware update to avoid the display to flip (because it thinks you are in selfiemode) when you use your fingers on the touchscreen or press drive button with your left hand, or use the camera at waist-level and hold it close to your body
I see in your video the the Clarity can be changed in your camera. In my, Clarity is always can kind of off, It shows, but very light and can not be changed. How can I fix that? Thanks
Is there a way to keep the LCD screen image from flipping when I pull the screen out? I have turned off 'auto rotate displays' and 'auto rotate pb' but it still keeps turning the display upside down as soon as I pull it out of the camera.
The Camera Icon no longer appears on the left side of the setting menu. I seem to be stuck in a video mode and get switch back to still picture mode. Any ideas?
Francis, I've heard reports that there is no option to centre the AF target via a joystick press. Is that the case; if so is there a workaround or f/w prospect?

You know a lot about this camera. Can you please explain why the screen on the LCD turns up side down when the screen is tilted in 90 degrees. I understand why it does it when the screen is tilted 180 degrees - but can’t figure out a reason for it doing it at 90 degrees. This must be considered as a design flaw on Fuji’s behalf. This is very annoying.
It certainly is a right pain! It is brought on by holding the camera too near the body; the screen sensor senses the dark and flips the screen image! Wearing light coloured clothing helps, but doesn't cure the issue. This happens even when the eye sensor is disabled in the menus and only use lcd monitor. Only workaround is to hold the camera further away from the body; not really great when doing street photography, which is why I got the X-E4. Wish I hadn't, now. ☹
Very informative video. I would like to know if the XE4 will support a fuji lens that does not have an aperture ring and can I therefore use the manual mode and be able to select shutter speed and aperture manually. Thank you
The only thing it needs is option to disable screen flip when tilting it. So incredibly annoying when shooting from waist and the stupid image flips upside down. It is such an easy option to add to firmware, but so far no luck. We have to use tape to partially dim eye sensor or stick magnets to bottom. It would be a perfect camera if not for this silly thing.
