I HOPE YOU FIND THIS ARRIVAL VIDEO USEFUL IF VISITING YORK ROWNTREE PARK C&MC SITE
In this video I show you the only way you can now arrive at York Rowntree park C&MC site this route will be for around 18 months.
I was on my own as a solo traveller to York Rowntree park C&MC site, the normal road to enter the site was closed for around 18 month while flood defence work is being done this is the only way you can get to the site while the work is being undertaken
P.S at the time of my stay there is also flood defence work being done inside the site as well.

Love that site. It is a nightmare getting there with the main road still closed we ended up down the same dead end.

It's not really well signposted to say they are diverting the traffic , it was by pure luck that I noticed the brown sign to direct to the site at the last minute

@@andrew-karens-adventures I missed the sign and found it by luck as someone local asked me if i wanted the site and gave me directions.

Just back home from Rowntrees, never been before, loved the site but an absolutely joke using the Caravan and Motorhome Garmin SatNav, also took us down Vine Street, also saw others turning round down there whilst on our visit.
This was an expensive piece of kit we decided to purchase to help avoid these situations 🤦🏼‍♀️
Enjoyed the video, made us feel normal after a few expletives ourselves 😂

Welcome to my world 🤣, the sat nav works on postcodes so still not correct, it totally through me when I arrived as I knew the old way but being an idiot never read the new directions or postcode given by C&MC

Tell me about it, Thought it would help some other people who are booked on the site & actually don't read the information on the booking form like me 😂

That is definitely a Garmin satnav voice

The sat nav’s coordinates to the site correctly tried to take you down Vine street, a dead end as you said, but this is the rear entrance to the site, the site cannot use this entrance at the moment hence the long diversion.

I suppose I should really have read the site booking information with site arrival (lesson learnt). I had only booked this a couple of days before, Thought it would be helpful to anyone else who does not read the updated arrival info on the booking form like me 😂🤣😂🤣. First time we went in 2019 we were diverted by big yellow signs to the rear emergency exit where the wardens were checking people in. After I got there I did read the arrival info it does say follow diversion signs set up by local authority ( not many), it was by pure chance I noticed the brown sign, it does also give you a new satnav but as I have learnt these are not always correct, anyway we had a lovely 3 nights there, thanks for watching 👍
