Brother i had used my samsung J7 prime which i brought in 2018 at 17k and used it for almost 6 years now in 2024 i had purchased samsung s23 fe and got 3000 as a exchange value for my old j7 prime and brought s23 fe for 39k with adaptor and will again use it untill it last. Phone ko ek tool k tarah use karo har saal naye phone ate jate rahege uspe paise mat bigado. Akhir me kam to ek hi hai call, messages, whatsap, instagram, facebook, amazon prime, netflix etc etc.

If I buy something that is considered a status symbol, I want it to last over a 100 years, be able to pass it on to my grand children, and even their grandchildren without losing any functionality while increasing in value. Buy a luxury watch that will outlast you. Buy a top of the line custom made guitar that will still play just as well 500 years from now if maintained well. Your shiny new iPhone will be "last year's model" next year, and will become an eye sore (iSore?) in 5 years. For content creation invest in a real camera. An entry level mirrorless with kit lens and some affordable lighting kit (and learning to use it) will absolutely blow the iPhone out of the water in both image quality and versatility.

I bought it because of its S Pen support, Dex mode (basically a mini-computer in my pocket), and, of course, the long OS update period. I really don’t understand the hype around iPhones!

If I buy something that is considered a status symbol, I want it to last over a 100 years, be able to pass it on to my grand children, and even their grandchildren without losing any functionality while increasing in value. Buy a luxury watch that will outlast you. Buy a top of the line custom made guitar that will still play just as well 500 years from now if maintained well. Your shiny new iPhone will be "last year's model" next year, and will become an eye sore (iSore?) in 5 years. For content creation invest in a real camera. An entry level mirrorless with kit lens and some affordable lighting kit (and learning to use it) will absolutely blow the iPhone out of the water in both image quality and versatility.
