Becky, my husband says I can’t watch your RUclips channel anymore, cause I want everything you use! 😂😂 I just brought home my new Brother 10 needle today, can’t wait to use it! You’re a great teacher!!
Yes fortunately some people find out how to manage this thing. I am so disapointed about this, because of the price and because of the loss of time spent while trying to put stabilizer en fabrics together. So frankly i don’t recommand this product. But… i do thank you for this excellent idea which will help me not to let duster engrave my hoop.
I saw another way to keep my stabilizer down when hooping. Lay the separator board over the stabilizer and then lay the edge of the hoop on the area next to the slider side. Gradually pull out the board until the hoop is all the way down. It works great, too!
Love this idea. I have been watching and rewatching you all day because I’m being held captive by my recliner. I fell Saturday (on my way to sewing room) and broke my kneecap. Had surgery and can’t bend for six weeks. Will never get tired of your videos because I learn something new every time.
Just used my new monster hoop for the first time 3 days ago, and I was so disappointed that I couldn’t my stabilizer taught at all! And now I see this…….once again Becky has a solution! Thanks girl! 🥰
Thankyou so much for the Hack, I just got my Monster hoop and haven't used it yet. I love the chickens on the backboard .I love all your tutorials. And I love all my book covers you taught. I did figure the measurements for differant book sizes. Thankyou again
That’s awesome, I’ve had trouble and got to where I didn’t like using the hoops, tape does not work it would leave a sticky residue on the fabric depending on the tape you use, ugh! Thank you for the tip it will be very useful!
Hello! I hope you are having a lovey day! I was working and filming in my sewing room all day and now I get to sit and watch you while I repair my blue jeans. I hope you have a great and creative week ahead. Thanks for sharing this video and your talent.
Those look like binder clips without the silver piece. I just bought a monster hoop for my Stellaire for a future edge to edge quilting class I’m hoping to take for the Hoffman big bloom panel. Thank you for all your videos. 💜❤️💖💕
Great idea Becky. Just ordered it now. Only18 left. I keep catching my fingers. I am hoping this will help save my fingers. Once you snap your fingers on that hoop, you won't soon forget it! Thanks Becky.
Taught is to teach which Becky does brilliantly! To hoop fabric nice & tight is to make the fabric taut! Look it up if you don’t believe me. And now I’m going to find Becky’s link for clam clips. I have the smaller clips (have had them for almost 30 years) bit I can’t find the clipper. Thank you Becky for refreshing my senior memory!!
Thanks so much Becky. I’m fairly new to the Snap Hoop and a little frustrated with the hooping. This will help sooo much I can tell. Barb from Buffalo 😃
Great tip Thank you I was debating on getting that magnet hoop or the hoop that you can buy brothers, that help you do E2E, which do you think is better Becky
The DIME hoop is a little easier to get the next pass to begin in the exact right spot because you to make tiny tugs to the fabric and move it exactly where you want. You can't do that with the Brother hoop because the magnets are secured on an upside down V shape. Plus, it's about half the price.
These clips also work great for holding fabric wound on comic book board bolts for storage like so many people do. It's better than pins that pierce the fabric and could (eventually) leave rust stains or holes. The only down side is you need more clips, but you can buy refills easily.
Great idea. But I had a different problem using my Monster Hoop the other day. I was quilting my project so I needed the hoop to hold my stabilizer, 2 pieces of fabric and some thin batting. The hoops didn’t hold all this firmly enough and my project continued to move out of position. Any clever idea on how to get a stronger hold?
This clam clip hack will work for that too. Have you thought of skipping the stabilizer and using the backing fabric as the 'stabilizer'? Then clam clip the entire project to the hoop base sandwiching the batting between the two pieces of fabric making sure the batting wraps around the frame. If you need to leave the clips on the frame, cover them with some paper tape so the metal edges don't scrape on the bed of your machine.
Thx for your response. I used a soft no-show mesh stabilizer but perhaps that wasn’t necessary. I hadn’t considered leaving on the clips for fear of scratching my machine. Hmmm…food for thought. @@PowerToolsWithThread
I went to amazon and I guess they are sold out? it doesn't say, but it also will not let me put in basket which I think means they are sold out. So, will go to my office supply store tomorrow and see if they have it there. I recently received my hoop from DIME (so excited, thank you for sending me there) and I was concerned about how to use it. I haven't used it yet.
I unfortunately had to return my monster hoop bcuz HV WON'T WARRANTY MACHINE IF ITS USED SINCE IT'S NOT HV :-( My next machine .....will be ok with it!
I watched one of your videos (actually several) but in one of those videos I saw where you were using a Snap Hoop on your Brother Entrepreneur Pro X 1055X. I have the same machine and have a Snap Hoop, but my machine does not acknowledge the hoop. It gives me an error message that reads "This embroidery frame cannot be used". How did you get yours to work?
I load it into the right side first and then slide the left arm to my right until the arms of the hoop can snap into place. Then I think I load mine upside down. The hoop arm on my right side has the circle hole closest to me and the sideways U toward the back of the machine. I've found that the smaller knob on the left must be very tight for the machine to acknowledge the hoop and confirm the design will fit. Sometimes it tells me to switch to a larger hoop when I really don't need to. Once I tighten that screw (I guess there's a sensor there?) then everything is fine. If you continue to have trouble, please reach out to DIME.
Not everyone can afford the magnetic hoops. This is one of the reasons I stopped watching. Don't have a multi needle, or scan n cut, or magnetic hoops.

Yes, I demo'd this exact method near the end of the video. Great minds!
Thanks Becky. We can always trust you to have a quick and fast

Heal fast & well Janet. I hope you have a comfortable recliner.
Just used my new monster hoop for the first time 3 days ago, and I was so disappointed that I couldn’t my stabilizer taught at all! And now I see this…….once again Becky has a solution! Thanks girl! 🥰
I like to put hand weights on the stabilizer to keep it in place, then put the top on. Works great!
I ordered those clips from your Amazon store. They are great. Thank you.
Yes I have had the Martelli ones for years but never thought about using them in that way. Good tip!

A+ problem solver. This will keep me from taping the stabilizers to the main frames. Awesome tip.
martelli sells this also in their binding set
Have had these clips from Martelli for years and never tried this - great idea - thanks for all you share!
I have those with my Martelli zip binding system already
thank you Becky for this demo. I was wondering how to get everything taut. July 2023, GMA
Quilt shop I go to uses those to hold bolt ends of fabric
Good advice! Thanks for sharing.
What a great idea Becky, thank you.
You are brilliant.

I have used these clam clips with Fast Frames for years-work great and reusable.
Great idea. Thank you for sharing.
Becky to the rescue, again! I was frustrated by this very thing just the other day. Time to visit Amazon (again - LOL).

Wow! I'm having the same problem getting my stabilizer taught. Now I know what to do. Thanks Becky!
This is great information! Thank you for sharing. It always takes so long to tighten the stabilizer in the magnetic frame.
Thanks for a great idea for hooping
Game changer….thanks!!
I’ve never heard of these, but another ingenious idea from you! Can’t wait to try this!
I use double sided tape on my hoop. It works great holding the stabilizer in place. I do like your idea though.
Those look like binder clips without the silver piece. I just bought a monster hoop for my Stellaire for a future edge to edge quilting class I’m hoping to take for the Hoffman big bloom panel. Thank you for all your videos. 💜❤️💖💕
Good idea!
Ordered as soon as you demoed these. Thanks for all the great tips!!!
Brilliant! Thanks!
That was such a great tip! I will order some and try it as soon as I receive them! Thanks for all you tips.
Those clips are amazing! I have never heard of those. Thank you for sharing all your knowledge with us.
Great idea Becky. Just ordered it now. Only18 left. I keep catching my fingers. I am hoping this will help save my fingers. Once you snap your fingers on that hoop, you won't soon forget it! Thanks Becky.

Ha ha! I've edited the title to fix the spelling typo. I kept thinking that didn't look right. Thanks!😅
I just had that problem this AM using that hoop. Thank you for the tip. Off to Amazon!

I use the clamclip to hold binding on the quilt for hand sewing.
Easy peazy lemon squeezy way to hoop that
Love it.
I used to use those for holding quilt binding in place while I hand stitched until I just started machine stitching all my bindings.
Great idea! I have those clips!!
Thanks so much Becky. I’m fairly new to the Snap Hoop and a little frustrated with the hooping. This will help sooo much I can tell. Barb from Buffalo 😃
Thanks for the very useful tip.
thanks for this video
Thanks for the wonderful tip!
Great tip Thank you
I was debating on getting that magnet hoop or the hoop that you can buy brothers, that help you do E2E, which do you think is better Becky

Another awesome tip! What's under your cutting table top if you don't mind sharing? I'm in the process of redoing my shop space.
Great idea!
Genius!
Great tip
Great Idea, thanks.
You can do the same thing with Magic Clips and it’s a lot easier.
Great idea. But I had a different problem using my Monster Hoop the other day. I was quilting my project so I needed the hoop to hold my stabilizer, 2 pieces of fabric and some thin batting. The “clam clip” has been sold by Martelli for years. That is where I got mine.
When I saw that, I thought Wow, I have something like that from Martelli. This will get me to pull it out and use that thing. lol
I went to amazon and I guess they are sold out? it doesn't say, but it also will not let me put in basket which I think means they are sold out. I added another option to my Amazon Store.
WHEN I WENT TO CLASS WITH THE FAST FRAME THEY HAD US USE STICKY STABILIZER , SO WITH USING THESE CLIPS YOU CAN USE ANY STABILIZER?😊😊😊😊
Sure! Any stabilizer will work.
So my Dime Monster snap hoop will allow the stabilzer to slip while sewing is there anything i can leave on that will keep it taut
You might put in a ticket with DIME to see if they know an easy solution.
I unfortunately had to return my monster hoop bcuz HV WON'T WARRANTY MACHINE IF ITS USED SINCE IT'S NOT HV :-( My next machine .....will be ok with it!

I’ve had these for years. I don’t know where I put them!
Time to replenish! amzn.to/3Eo5fT2
Do you use this hoop on a Bernina?
Well I’ll be 😮
Where’s you’re Amazon link?
amzn.to/3Eo5fT2
Those look the clips Martelli’s use and they call them binding clips.
I cant find the clip things
Here you go amzn.to/3Eo5fT2
Can you reuse thise clips?
Yes! Completely reusable! amzn.to/3Eo5fT2
I fold stabilizer over edge and use tape. Quick n easy. These ol hands cant handle the strong metal clips.
what a simple and easy solution. No other needed.

"Taught" should be spelled TAUT in this instance.
Fixed! Thanks!
Not everyone can afford the magnetic hoops. This is one of the reasons I stopped watching. Don't have a multi needle, or scan n cut, or magnetic hoops.
Hopefully you can pick up tips and tricks along the way to make do so you can make what you have work for you. Totally understand!
