Definitely a classic, and I watched it recently. Those good ole boys and girls laid the foundation.

Great clip, pleasant to watch and very informative. Since October 2021 I,ve owned the same model of motorcycle an it's just awesome. Had an XT660Z Tenere before that, which was a truly, loyal workhorse that never let me down in all of the 60k km we've done together, but the Africana...damn...what a machine. I've had a talk with a guy who told me to upgrade the suspensions of the AT and that it'll be so much better, but i don't know...even though i'd like to do that, it's quite an expensive procedure and for now i'll just use that money to ride. Also, i've turned the knobs on the fork/rear shock and played with the compression and preload a little and for riding with luggage and pillion it made quite a difference just by giving those a couple of extra turns. Cheers from Romania!

Thanks for taking the time to write out a nice comment. I'm in the process of upgrading suspension and really should have done something before now. If you can invest extra dollars there, I don't think it would disappoint. However, you don't need to invest a lot to just re-spring the forks and shock. If you are maxing out pre-load/s, do at least that and save all of those forces running into the bike.

@@1LiterADV Yeah, the guy with whom i was talking to was a professional enduro rider for a period of time and he was speaking from his perspective. He told me to change the springs and cartridges as well and that doesn't come cheap. Anyway, i don't ride that hard offroad and not maxing anything out, so i think i'm good, but i'm taking into consideration a set of progressive springs for the future. Curious about your upgrade and the impressions after. Have a great day!

Stay tuned. We should have an AT suspension video uploaded in a few weeks from now. Still doing research, studying procedures, gathering components and tools to perform task correctly. After that there is editing. Once completed, it will be the single best mod that I have completed on my bike.

That's a good looking 2017! I didn't know about the battery being so hard to get to. Also liked the mod for raising the front wheel guard. I looked at a 2022 model last month. It was a dct. I'd still prefer the manual. Looking forward for the 2023 models to come out in the US. Just my opinion, but I really like "Fuel" exhaust. Made in the UK by a guy named Devin. I'm getting ready to subscribe to your channel

Gotta be honest....I was really pleasantly surprised by your video 🤔👍👌, I smiled more than once while watching it. I own the same bike, same year and same tires too....I'm curious what pressure do you run yours? I'm running mine at the Honda recommended 29 front-41 rear. I've had no issues. But I know the Pandoras box tire pressures can be........still I like hearing what others run who have the same bike and tire combo.

Thanks for the complements. We enjoy reading them and we are happy to hear about the smiles. As far as the tire pressure, I’ve never really been a stickler about it. I may experiment more going forward. Currently I have 38 rear and 32 front. I also have a TPMS to help me keep it in that range.

@@1LiterADV I have FOBO tire monitoring on mine, and I'm amazed at how the rear goes from 41 to 46 on the warm highway. Tires not wearing oddly that I've noticed though 🤔Thanks for the reply 👍
