Wellyou have a constitutional right which state you don't have to do anything that might incriminate myself and by helping I just might be doing just that. Also it states that I'm not allowed to help law enforcement do an investigation. You also know your rights rather than get into a huge discussion about this 9 out of ten times they just say have a nice day and walk away! Done this several times and it works fine for me but you better know your rights and laws!
Yes you have rights. This is just a suggestion. Have you tried it? I have and I can tell you that it works. It doesn't mean I got out of a violation because of it, although I wonder if I have sometimes because of it, but other times I still received violations, but I would treat that inspection as if you might see that officer again tomorrow or next week. The way you treat them can have an effect on how your next inspection goes possibly.
Yes I have not many times just depends on the officer. I can be very polite and courteous but if they have an additude that really rubs me the wrong way! I give what I get and that's only fair!
Just wondering how much they paid u to b nice to them ..no matter what u do or say if officer is one ass he b n ass simple sorry if u don’t like mi Unser but is mi opinion
Haha they paid me nothing. I have had mean inspectors and nice inspectors. And over the last few years I have attended some of their trainings and the repeated thing I hear from inspectors is they HATE when I driver says he doesn't know about this or that. The officer can do whatever he wants on his inspection whether you talk or not, but if you try and help them I guarantee it will only help. Help doesn't mean give them everything, it means offering to help them move the inspection along and do your part.
