I think Ann has the most powerful rock voice and she is one of my favorites, but Linda's voice may have been more versatile. Ronstandt could sing equally well in such a variety of genres including: rock, pop, folk/country, and opera. It's such a shame that Parkinson's has now robbed Linda of her great voice.
@oldmanwitherspoon Stevie's voice is very unique and it fits well with Fleetwood Mac; but you are right, she does not have the force and power than Ann Wilson can provide.
Me too. I skipped the 70s; was there in the 60s, but then I came back in the 80s. I'm thinking about skipping the next 50 and coming back in the 70s, the 2070s.
@@Trumpisdumb LOL you made me lol out loud. Maybe I will come back in about 50 years and see if shit is straightened out some and music is a bit better. See ya then
Goddamn, Ann has the best female Rock voice ever. I can't think of one female Rock vocalist that comes close. Even to this day in her 60s she can wail.
I was fortunate to see The Bebe La Strange Tour at the LA Forum in 1980. They were a fine tuned machine, incredible live. Ann voice was a force, at times, Im serious the building shook.
The best interpretation of Heartless live. Excellent voice of Ann and her little sister playing and singing too. One of the best rock bands of the 70's. I'm a fan of the Wilson sisters. :)
I was a teenager reckless hippie back when this video was made. I think it was done in 1976 before my accident which let me paralyzed for a while, but I eventually got better. I seen the band live many times. There used to be a van load of girl friends who would pick me up every weekend and we seen a lot of bands. True story, the Italian and Polish mafia around here hated me because they were nut cases and it was believed that I'm Jesus. Yep! True. They wanted it to appear like I didn't like girls and were trying to get me to be gay, but I never was and I always had "secret" girl friends because girls loved me so much. It was a bizarre life. When they seen they couldn't get me that way, after coming out of the hospital, the put an evil red headed chick up to try to mess with my mind, but she ended up falling in love with me and having my baby! However, she also thought I was Jesus. I had sex with her and she even stated it. When we divorced she still thought I was Jesus and wanted to hurt or get even with me or something like that, but prior to meeting her I was a liberal hippie. I had horrible things happen to me growing up, but I'm not going into it. To make a long story short, my Aunt knew Anton Lavey and I had to deal with a lot of crazy things. He wanted to make me look like Jesus, get me to be gay because then he would look the big heterosexual devil who saved all the women from me, but it backfired on him because I don't agree with the curse, and I wanted to free us all. Believe what you wish, but it is the absolute truth, and I can prove it. It was all psychological harassment because they knew they wouldn't dare out right murder me because if they had, then I would've been martyred and virtually everyone would've turned against them so they tried to do it with psychology and by making people believe me to be a misogynist, but I'm not one. Crazy huh? It was my life, and still is. Check out this video: ruclips.net/video/bPh-aTuWX_4/видео.html
Anne and Nancy Wilson...ROCK ROYALTY. The voices, the looks, the attenuation to not just one, but several generations spanning the 1970's through today. Flat-out bust-head BANGERS when they went there, and "break your heart into little pieces" with subtle emotion when they went that way. Such is their gift. GOD I love HEART!
I've been going top rock concerts since the early 70s and I've seen all the big names and Heart (at least in this incarnation) was easily the tightest band I ever saw live.
Tommy L. Mason, Does bump work outside of FB? (It will notify you now, since I replied, but does it bring your comment back up to the top for everyone?)
I can't say that enough. I'm subscribed to several of their video collections here, and it's an EVERY DAY, EVERY NIGHT ritual for me to watch, listen, and LOVE EVERY DAMN SECOND of it...EVERY SINGLE TIME is like the first time, all over again. I'll NEVER tire of it...EVER!!!!
An EARLY Performance of Heart doing "Heartless" back in the Band's Infancy before their Stardom on the Stage of KWSU-TV Washington State University PBS Station...Freakin' EPIC!
I think I still have one of her picks. Landed plat in my palm when she threw from stage. Don't remember much else from the concert. Just a lot of euphoria
Beautiful harmonies by Ann and Nancy and then Ann just kicks the vocals into hyper-overdrive. Unreal! if they had been around Heart during those years, today's bands would have just wilted in their presence.
If they had any real talent then they wouldn't have to be up on stage in such short dresses and low cut tops. Oh. Hold on. Ann and Nancy really do have talent ... and lots of it! Thank you ladies for sharing your talents with us.
Two things: 1. Ann's voice is one of the best female voices in rock. 2. I need to get one of those vests the bass player is wearing, I'm sure I could pull that off.
There was no one like Anne. Her voice just kept getting better and more powerful as time went on. Pat Benatar is great also.....but not like Anne Wilson
Pat Benatar was always hard to figure out for me. Yes, she had and probably still has a great voice, but her songs just seemed much more commercial to me. I always viewed Pat Benatar as more of a solo act and Ann Wilson as the vocal leader of a great ensemble cast called Heart. What is great is the fact that Ann and Pat never seemed to be snippy rivals and that they really seem to respect each other's talent.
The way that Anne and Nancy‘s vocals flawlessly blend and flow with the guitar and keys in the bridge is just absolutely enchanting. I’m an 18 year old singer and guitarist and I go to school of rock and I’m in house band. I’m house band I‘m lucky to to sing harmony vocals on this song with one of my good friends and the bridge is 100% one of my favourite things to sing ever. It’s simply beautiful.
2:46 ...Love that instrumental bridge and Nancy's right hand picking groove. Long live the *Gibson Les Paul Jr. double-cutaway single-P90 pickup* electric guitar.... My favorite favorite guitar was my '62 " " all mahogany nat.'orangish' finish. HOLY CATS!!! $6995 on Reverb site
Ann and Nancy Wilson will be seated on the front row in rock and roll heaven next to all the rock and roll greats. The 1970's at its everlasting best! Ann is the brunette and Nancy is the blonde.
OMG she's my favorite female rock singer of all time . I get goosebumps every time I hear her scream .
All other female singers look up to her or Stevie
I heard that! Ann Wilson is a very special singer & Heart is a great band.
I love the raw garage band sound and Ann’s screams in this performance. I absolutely love good old fashioned rock and roll like this.
With all due respect to Janis Joplin, Linda Rondstant, and Stevie Nicks
Ann Wilson is the standard period💪❤
Ann Wilson I agree she is one of the best female vocalist out there
David Lane agree 100%

They did this better live than the studio version. Her voice was spot on. Perfect.
It’s got that garage band sound that I absolutely love and the way she screams at just the right times. Awesome!
It really depends on which works best for most listeners.
The audience doesn't realize they are in the presence of greatness.
I don’t think the band knows how great they are.
Simply put. These ladies are the Pinnacle of legendary
This is what it looks like you when you pour your guts out on the floor...just shredding it. Damn, that's raw talent!

Ann Wilson has to be one of the worlds top 5 best singers!!!!
Best singer in Rock n Roll, period.

the most incredible band on earth to see perform live.
Fantastic vocals. Very impressed.

You can sing Long Cool Woman along with a lot of it
Well, she was a "Long Cool Woman In A Black Dress" in the video;)
Wow found another live lost gem by Heart. Have loved them since I first heard them back in high school.
