    I started this beer reviewing channel after I found myself searching out lots of craft beer breweries and enjoying amazing beers, I then decided to start the channel to share these beers with you, however I also realised people like to see beer reviews of every type of beer including beers that are available in supermarkets. so yes whilst I do review a lot of craft breweries I will review any beer. On the odd occasion I will also do food reviews.
    whilst I enjoy reviewing beers I also enjoy watching other beer reviewers and I have made some good friends in the beer review community.
    Here is a list of some other beer reviewers I like to watch (there are many more I watch).
    Dean's beer reviews
    All the Beer No Idea
    I've had worse
    Scott and Wanda's World
    Paul's Beer Reviews
    Northern Southern Beer Reviews
    The Craft Beer Hub
    The Crumby Beard

      Thank you David. It's been a lot of fun, and that's what beer is about. I am really enjoying my channel at the moment, with all my recent Guinness/Brewdog videos the interaction has been fantastic.

    Maybe see if you can get a can of Murphys to review aswell, I’ve only seen it in Tesco

    Never apologise Chris, always good to watch. The Black Heart edges it for me too, just has a nicer bitter aftertaste (can v can, not nitrosurge).
    I have a Fizzics machine, might try the pin prick method and chuck it through that, see what happens! Cheers 🍺

      @@ChrissBeerReviews Just had a Guinness through the Nitrosurge, will now go and use it on a Black Heart. Although not a full pint, 4 tins for a fiver versus 4 for seven quid is decent, IF Brewdog don't hike the price.

      @@ChrissBeerReviewsTried it, didn’t work very well 😂. Not sure if I left it too long after piercing, but when put through the Fizzics, it was no different to a normal pour with the Brewdog.

    As I said on another channel it's hilarious that Guinness have developed a gadget that improves a competitor's beer. They won't mind if sales multiply on the back of it though.
    I'd be interested to see a blind review with these two beers too.
    Be lucky

    I’m glad you have run it through the surger. I’ve been running the Guinness draught through it for a while now it does make the cans taste good. But I do like the pint draught cans.
    I’m a Guinness drinker, I’m not a craft ale drinker and not a Brewdog fan. Black Heart through that surger (I’ve got a Chinese surger) just pushes it up a level or 3. I think it’s a great drink in the house.
    On offer 4 for 4 quid in a supermarket which is even better. (Is that Black Heart glass a 440ml?)
    I ran Boddington, caffereys, Carling Premier through the surger. They produce great smooth pints, with some good and not so good taste!
    Keep up the great reviews.

    • @ChrissBeerReviews
      @ChrissBeerReviews  Год назад +1

      Yeah that's a decent offer 4 for 4. I do like the Black Heart and through the surger does improve it as you say. What all these recent videos have done for me is tell me that I do enjoy Guinness more than I thought, it's constantly in the house now! 😁

      @@ChrissBeerReviews I liked Carling Premier back in the day. Couldn't have too many as it would give me a thick head the morning after. It was a nice creamy pour, but the flavour was terrible (IMO). They were selling it in Home Bargains I think. 👍

      Agree the flavour is terrible. I have never sessioned any nitro beer as I fear they will give a cracking headache the next morning.

    I've been using the nitrosurge on as many nitro beers as I can find, caffreys 👀 boddingtons and tetleys (I know I know) but it doesn't half make a change to them, the boddingtons especially.
    When i had the black heart against the guinness on Friday I felt black heart edges it taste wise.

      @ChrissBeerReviews  Год назад +1

      Cheers David. Those beers you have mentioned are so readily available so it absolutely makes sense to get them and put them through the Nitrosurge. I see a whole new feature coming to my channel! 😂

      Obviously they're bottom of the barrel beers really but I was pleasantly surprised by the boddingtons through the device, I don't mind a boddingtons anyway as it goes but it definitely does seem to add something extra. I'm looking for some murphys to run through it next.

    Happy Sunday chris mate….do think Guinness is ok ,but been around too long ,good to see a brewery trying to compete against them…and winning …still not tried the brewdog ,out of stock in our Tesco…typical I’ll be weeks behind

    • @ChrissBeerReviews
      @ChrissBeerReviews  Год назад +1

      I get the feeling it is selling fast. Hopefully your Tesco will restock soon. I suppose if any brewery were going to take it straight to Guinness it had to be Brewdog. Although Anspach and Hobdays London Black is incredible, just waiting for them to release that in cans.

    Guinness is smoother and has a more pleasant mouth feel and aftertaste. The Brewdog is okay, too 'craft' beer for me though.

    • @ChrissBeerReviews
      @ChrissBeerReviews  Год назад +1

      That's fair enough. I agree Guinness does have a good aftertaste. The wonderful thing about us humans is taste is subjective, which then always creates good conversation.

    I wonder if it's worth trying the Nitrosurge on cans of imperial stout by the likes of Vocation and Northern Monk?

    • @ChrissBeerReviews
      @ChrissBeerReviews  Год назад

      Certainly worth a try if they are nitro cans. I believe if it's not a nitro can you end up with a huge head.

    Is the pin hit in slowly and softly? Also how long do you leave can before use? Thanks

    • @ChrissBeerReviews
      @ChrissBeerReviews  Год назад +1

      Put the pin in, use a thin pin, do not pull the pin straight out. Leave the pin in and you can gently wiggle the pin to help release the gas, this needs to be done slowly, if you get loads of beer coming through the hole you have activated the nitrogen. Once all the gas is out you can use the can. I will do a video of it later today.

    Great video mate, the pin prick trick works a treat and can save you a few quid if using the Guinness Draught cans as opposed to the Nitrosurge cans.
    Definitely looks like the Brewdog cascades more with the Nitrosurge device, plus the head looks creamier and lasts longer than just cracking the tin open and pouring.
    You should try a Guinness Draught can with a pin prick through the Nitrosurge device, against a can of Nitrosurge Guinness and tell me what you think, I can’t tell much of a difference myself and bar the volume difference of 440ml can against a pint can, I don’t see how the Nitrosurge cans are more expensive, especially as the cost of adding the widget is removed.
    Keep ‘er lit

      @ChrissBeerReviews  Год назад

      Cheers for watching and leaving a great comment. I do need to put both of those side by side, I would agree there is probably going to be little if any difference. So it will certainly save some pennies using the draught cans

      Until you cannot hear the gas escaping anymore.

    • @MLAM168

      Another one is to squeeze the can, if it’s soft then all the gas is out.
