1983. I was a second engineer in 90000ton tanker. Now. the engine room is clean and more high tech stuff. I am retired now. but I miss that time a lot. marine engineer life is my life. Good job.
Huge respect to you sir, i've always admired Engineers' skills and i believe it is much more difficult than Deck side.
KS Yu hi sir how can I get job there
The best way is to go to a school for the maritime industry and get your USCG license in either deck or engines. The you can sail commercially.
KS Yu hey mate I’m going to study marine engineering at university and was wondering if there is much money in marine engineering?
God bless you.
This is bloody lovely. Exceptional quality. I am sailing next month on my first ever journey as a cadet. For a person like me, your videos are priceless. Thank you!
Alex Black i feel the same.. priceless and as a cadet we need more videos like this
Agreed!
Alexander Black wow typically I don’t watch ships but this is outstanding 👍👍 subscribed
Am i only one whos cadet study is pending still love to watch this
By the way which company sponsored you?
As always a high quality video. Keep the good work up!
Montiro
I like your videography style. I appreciate the effort that must go into making your videos.
True
To earn money effort has to be put
I hate it it gave me a headache. Im just tryna look at the engine and he keeps switching fucking slides every 3 seconds
Our family used to take the car ferry to Victoria BC, and when I was a young lad, when we were walking from the car to the restaurant on the ferry I would walk by a door to the engine room. Heat billowing out, guys talking, tool sounds, and I thought when I grow up, I want to work in the engine room of a huge ship. Sadly that never came true, but I am a mechanic that works on much smaller things...cars! Thanks for the excellent video!
As an amateur astronomer I really love the way you captured the sky at the end of the video.
2 things:
1) It's apparent that you & your crew-mates take great pride in your ship because of the cleanliness and organization.
and
2) The video music on this one was perfect.
Thanks Jeff.
Nice video again! I watch them all from the first to the last minute!
Here another nice mega ship engine tour ---> ruclips.net/video/4vwnF1l45bc/видео.html
The best maritime related channel
Incredibly well done. Thank you. My son was excited to learn about the engine and I was excited to watch the great video style. We will be back for more!
Brilliant video and tour - had a good laugh at the "Engineers can work their magic from here" part.
Loved this ! 😍
I’ve got to say, I did not even know I was interested in how big ships like that worked. Excellent production quality, even if not for learning about ships, there are definitely amazing filming techniques and transitions to learn from, along with the concise explanations and flow.
Nice video again! Man, you're so talented when it comes to videography, and your editing skills are amazing! Keep it upp
This is what I was looking for
I'm styding to be a chief engineer and this helps to me
Wonderful job!
Greetings from Peru!!!
This is amazing, thanks for the video. I am almost 50 and still love the beauty of engineering.
You have a keen sense of humor...Great video!
Thanks for shearing that beautiful world!!
A real engineer stays in the engine room and keeps the engines running without computers that is a real engineer
Jeff, this is a an awesome video. It's informative and the quality of the videography is superb! thanks so much for making this. If you have the time and inclination, it would be super cool to do individual videos for each system (i.e. power generation, hydraulic systems, fuel systems, etc.). there is so much fascinating stuff going on in the engine room, it would be amazing to be able to learn more - and your video style would it that more fun and informative. anyway, keep up the great work. You just earned another subscriber. Thanks!
My compliments, very nice video. Brought back memories.
As always and excellent video. There is one thing though in the commentary; if the ship's engine has 12 cyclinders; is not a v12 but an inline 12.
Yeh
I love these vlogs - Mainly because i'm obsessed with life at sea fantasy but also from a pure content standpoint these videos are amazing! Very original - one of the best content creators on RUclips!
I've never seen anything more beautiful in my life.
Perfect, thank you and have a good trip
Love your sense of humor!
My second favorite location on a ship, the engine room, after the bridge of course. Great production value again Jeff! You knock it out of the park every time. I'm going to have to save a couple of your videos for later and not binge on all of them at once. I'll check out your feed on Insta.
Love your videos. Thank you for making them.
I'm digging your selfie stick transitions.

Great video again! I'm going to have to try some of this video making when i get back on board but I'm too lazy (I'm a 2nd engineer lol)
Funny and fun to watch.. Great job.
No music please. We want to hear those engines. Engines make the music.
Amazing always wanted to see engine room. We're here above Portland OR over the Columbia river watching various shipping go by - no super sized ones though.
I admir your effort as a marine engineer the greater responsibility and handle lots of stuff i can feel it a mechanical engineer. 😍
Great video!
